I shouldn't have read that while I was sipping a cuppa!!!! My OH is just the same - he drools over the Screwfix catalogue, which he keeps several copies of around the house like other people have spare reading glasses, but when you go there it's more of an Argos experience!!

Tomorrow's lunch sounds yummy - well done for getting so organised.

Oma - swimming's hungry work. I hope Brian is ok, no bruises or anything. I wonder where the Candy Crush idea came from.

Nanto - home and feet up after all your shopping?

Oma - children are like sponges at this age aren't they. I remember DG1 at about your GD's age talking about going on holiday in an airplane. When I asked her where she wanted to go she said 'Italy'. It took us ages to realise she's seen an episode of Peppa Pig where Peppa and family went to Italy - and it was only mentioned once in the programme. Perhaps your DG has seen someone playing Candy Crush.

        Glad Brian is ok.

Good Sunday morning, ladies. It's a nice sunny day here, but there's a bit of a breeze.

We're putting the living room back together after decorating it. But I thought I'd do a bit of paperwork first and one of the tasks was to log onto the database where Eva's microchip number is registered to check it was correct. Fail, fail, fail ... I can't get into it because the rescue centre have got my email address wrong! I don't suppose the Kennel Club work Bank Holiday weekend, so it will have to wait. In all the years I've had what I know is an outlandish email address this is the first time I've had a problem with it!

                Good morning!

How annoying, Daisy.I find things like that most frustrating.

Family lunch for 10 today, which should be fun.
DD3 and OH have the loan of a car from where her OH works this weekend. This means they can come under their own steam, so we only have my mum to collect.

                Have a good Sunday everyone.

Gem ,how lovely to have all the family together even if it is quite a lot of work. I do wish my family could all meet up for just a day but they are too far-flung.Christmas is the only time we are all under one roof and then it is usually for just one day.I envy those of you who are in easy reach of each other.

Daisy these things always seem to happen when you can't do anything about it.It's very frustratin

Clover, I am very lucky to have all my family with a 35 minute drive. Times like this when we are all together are fairly rare but lovely when they happen

For many years my eldest lived in Scotland, so I didn't predict them all living so close!

You energetic people with your decorating, have always hated doing it and having it done. My SR is in desperate need but I have large heavy furniture and it is a large room. Decorator said he could cope, I wonder if he is busy?

What a glorious sunny day we have, family get together at eldest DD's this afternoon. Everyone is going in character the theme being Alice in Wonderland. I spent hours making cheshire cat outfits and masks yesterday after my visit to A&E, Poole A&E such a valuable asset but now they are talking about closing it and all A&E will be at Bournemouth General. Absolute madness people in poole, Upton and further reaches will struggle to get there. Also talking about closing Poole Maternity Unit, more cost cutting stupidity. Anyway thats my grumble over, thankfully I will be excused from any boisterous garden games due to my poorly ankle. Always a silver lining

Hi ladies went to DD.s pizza lunch seemed a good idea at the time but with my health probs I have suffered through the night love pizzas but they don't like me, too much wine also a no no I took a trifle I made and a cheesecake had to have a bit of both didn't I? Up through the night with heartburn and feeling rather sick, don't think the box of chocolates I opened when I got home helped 😜didn't get to sleep till 2 this morning and awake again at 6am so taking it easy today in the eating dept, had a word with myself about my weight .
Enjoy your lovely meals you are cooking and ladies and gents with injuries and those just not feeling right enjoy your day as best you can
CLover don't feel too bad, it must be difficult to hear us talking about our close at hand families sending love

well up at cracking of dawn done all the paintwork in kitchen (Brian painted the two doors ) and dining room , SIL came and helped me take mirror down never thought of asking son to do it yesterday , have put 2 coats on all walls but will need a 3rd you wouldn't think pale lemon would be so hard to cover , giving it a couple of hours to dry before do 3rd coat then it's just cleaning and put it all back together tonight then start Sitting room in the morning . I find its all the prep that takes the time masking up and I covered all my new work tops with thick layers of newspapers and wrapped the tap in a plastic bag then realised I couldn't fill the water filter jug to make a cup of tea 😲 had to go upstairs to do it 😊
