Afternoon ladies, after a little shower this morning the sun has decided to make an appearance so I am going to put the kettle on, make a drink and then sit outside with a book.
DD is still in hospital, waiting for results of even more tests poor love I can't help but worry about her.
I had to go to the drs on Monday as I have been having the most horrible chest pains after eating, we think my hiatus hernia has become lager. The dr has changed my medication and for the next two weeks I have to write down everything I eat to see if I can see what is triggering off the pains. I tell you what, when you see the rubbish you eat written down on paper it makes you think. I have gone from Monday's meal of fish and chips to today's of veg burger and salad.
I have to go back to the drs with my written evidence. What she will make of my diet I can only wonder !

Well that was quick !
I made a drink, opened my book and then .... you are ahead of yourselves ...no it didn't rain.... the very nice man who laid our lawn and put up the garden fences turn up to put up a small privacy panel from our kitchen wall to the shed. There are saw's, wood and nails all over the place so I thought it best to come inside. I can hardly sit there like her ladyship sipping tea, reading a book while he is hard at work. !
When this panel is up we will no longer have to endure the next door neighbours staring into my kitchen window and we won't have to look at all the rubbish piled high in their ( so called ) garden. Mind you , unfortunately we will still be able to smell it on a bad day

Walked on Long Mynd this morning despite getting caught in the rain it was beautiful. Nice pub lunch followed now have a restful afternoon.

We decided to go to Masham at last minute I wanted to see the church my friend is renewing her vows in, it was a beautiful country church I could picture her there, had a pub lunch despite the forecast saying no rain we have had some heavy showers not much sun, but bought some cheese from a funnily enough cheese maker, sticky toffe and apple pie flavour best of both worlds !!!

Good morning, ladies. It's a beautiful sunny morning here, but still quite breezy.

If it stays nice I'm going to put a few more plants in our new front garden, mow the lawn and tackle some weeds. But I also need to tackle the ironing pile and sort out our spare bedroom before a visitor arrives on Sunday. We're out most of Saturday, the fridge is nearly empty and I've got to make a dessert for a BBQ on Saturday night. I bet you can guess which job won't get done!!!!

Oma - hope all goes well at the hospital and you don't have to wait too long.

We walked on Long Mynd yesterday it was lovely despite getting caught in a shower. Today we're going to a National Trust property Croft Castle, this will be our third NT visit this week but whilst up this way we might as well see them and as members we don't have to pay. Going home tomorrow (a day early) I will sleep at DS's as he is going on a stag weekend and DIL would like some company as she finds the evening routine with baby quite demanding. Then off to a 90th birthday lunch in Norwich on Saturday.
