Nana - be kind to yourself. You've just been remembering your lovely Dad as well. It's all come at once. You'll be in my thoughts tomorrow. xxx

            Morning everyone.

Poor DD has been signed two weeks off work. As you know she is pregnant and so far it hasn't been the easiest of pregnancy. Top that with the fact that GS has had this horrible sickness she now has a water infection. She was so tired in work she broke down and cried in front of her manager. I wish I lived closer to her, I could help her with GS, take some of the weight off her hands, but saying that she is very much like me and she doesn't take to resting and letting someone else take over. Hopefully theses two weeks will help her. Roll on June when she starts her maternity leave.
Yesterday I had to take my iPad to the iPhone store in town as my iPad had locked me out . When I turned it on it prompted me for a new password which I thought was odd Well it wouldn't accept anything I typed in , each time I tried to enter a password I would be locked out for a given time. Eventually I was promoted to connect to iTunes via my pc which I did, this was supposed to wipe the iPad clean , reset to factory settings thus loosing all my photos etc, on the iPad. Well that didn't work so off to the iPhone store it was.
It took them just 20 mins to fix it at a cost of £20 which I thought would have been so much more. I thought I'd picked up a virus on there but no, apparently the fault was with Apple, there was a problem with their 'updates ' causing iPads and iPhones to ask for new passwords and then shutting everything down ! So be warned to all you iPad/iPhone users!
Bring me sunshine in your smile.

Hope the time off works helps your daughter to feel better. You must feel so helpless when you don't live nearby.
Also hope that GS is feeling better.

Pleased you got the iPad fixed.

Mimi - your poor DD. I do hope the break from work gives her chance to recover. Even if she's not good at resting being at home will give her a bit of a break. It's hard for you when you're so far away, too. xx

Thanks for the information on iPad locking you out. I hope Apple have sorted out the bug now. I've got to take my desktop in to get the tilt mechanism fixed.

Shopping for us this morning - and a trip to the garden centre. I'm dragging OH along to help with the grunt work steering those impossible flat bed trolleys - I need seed compost and things like that, plus some more plants for the front garden. It's still bitterly cold though, so I can't see me out there planting anything until it warms up a bit.

Nana - stay strong today. Big hug. xxx

                    Good morning all.
Your poor DD,mimi, hoping she feels much better soon.

Oma, Josh will have a great time, but his mum is bound to fret and miss him!

GD is off school with a high temperature ( chickenpox on the way??) Baby is feeding constantly (probably a growth spurt) DD feeling overwhelmed. I was going to head over there but when DD realised my reflexologist is coming this afternoon to give me a treatment she said they would come here. At least they can all be looked after!

Tonight OH and I are going to see Brideshead Revisited, at the newly reopened, refurbished theatre. I am really looking forward to seeing the renovations.

Windy cold and wet here, Spring, where did you go?!

Oma - I bet Josh will come back full of his first trip away. But we can't help worrying a bit, can we.

Gem - I hope GD isn't sickening for Chickenpox, your poor DD has enogh on her plate without a poorly daughter - plus not nice for your GD. I think there are times when babies just feed constantly, but you at least if you're breast feeding you've got to sit down, relax and go at the baby's pace. Enjoy the theatre tonight.

We went shopping as planned this morning. OH dropped me off at Sainsbury's while he went to DIY places, then we went to the garden centre and I got quite a few plants for the front garden - they'd better grow or else! We spent a small fortune. We also got potting compost etc for seeds and small plants in the greenhouse. At the checkout we were offered help getting it all in the car, but OH said he'd be fine. But he wasn't. As he bent down to pick up the first sack his back went! He's been hobbling round every since counting down the minutes until he can have more Paracetamol. I think he'll be having a quiet week-end, poor hubby.

Good morning, a bit of frost about, but it doesn't feel as cold as it has been over the past few days.

Oma, I bet Josh has a lovely time.
Gem, hope GD isn't too poorly with chickenpox.
Oh Daisy, poor hubby, hope he isn't too much pain.

                          Good Saturday morning everyone.

The sun's shining here, but it is still quite chilly. I bought some tomato plants yesterday, so today I'm going to enjoy the sun potting them on in the greenhouse. Poor OH is still suffering, I don't think he'll be painting the garage floor today, which is what he'd planned to do.

                              Good morning everyone.

                              Poor OH, Daisy!

GD was really quite poorly yesterday, with a high temperature. It remains to be seen if it is chickenpox. Her throat isn't sore, but for that I would say it was tonsiltis, which both her mum and I were plagued with. She is supposed to be seeing 'Joseph' with her Grandpa tonight, and has a long dance practice tomorrow for her upcoming dance show. Not sure she will make either

We loved seeing the newly renovated Theatre Royal last night. We did, however not enjoy Brideshead Revisited. Boring and a lot of the time very difficult to hear. Most disappointing.

Later today OH will be playing golf. I am looking forward to a relaxing afternoon caching up on TV, so long as DD2 doesnt need me. Tonight DD3 and I are eating out together

Hope everyone is having a good weekend and that all poorly folks are feeling a bit better. I've had an interesting? morning today. Went down gym and had a good workout, then came home to find the downstairs cloakroom flooded! No sign of leaks anywhere, so went off to have a shower. OH came rushing up telling me to turn water off as it was coming up the toilet downstairs!! Got dressed and we went and inspected the drains which seemed to be blocked. Anyway after much prodding and pulling the water started flowing again but started backing up the pipe again. Finally went and got or neighbour and his rods and we cleared the blockage which was much further down the pipe! Much gunge etc cleared out!! Anyway neighbour says we should maybe just clear the storm drains while we're at it, so spent time carrying more buckets of rotting vegetation and finding places to pour it out of the way. However, drains are clear and cleanest they've been for a while, but I now have the utmost admiration for plumbers and drain cleaners!! A change of clothes and another shower were in order after that lot I can tell you. Relaxing afternoon now!
Believe you can and you're halfway there.
