Oma I'm glad you had a reasonably quick session today. Those poor nurses must have been exhausted as well as the patients having to wait so long yesterday.I presume it was a computer melt-down. Just shows what can happen when we are so dependent on them.
Gem I hope you have a wonderful time this evening.
I've had a busy day getting ready for a long weekend with DD and family. Haven't seen those GC of mine since Christmas. Lucy has just got back from a school skiing trip so I'm looking forward to hearing all the details.
On top of getting sorted I spotted a poorly Mummy Blackbird in the garden. She was just sitting looking sorry for herself only having the occasional peck at the food I put out. She kept shifting to sit in the sun. I went out and managed to get close enough to see she had an injured wing. We are very lucky here as the Gower Bird and Wildlife hospital is less than a mile away. I rang them and they said to take the poor thing in to them but could I catch her?No I could not!She shuffled off at a rate of knots despite her injury into a brambly overgrown bit at the bottom of the garden. I scrabbled around as much as I could to catch her but she kept scuttling just out of reach. In the end she disappeared altogether so I had to reluctantly re-ring the hospital to tell them .I feel awful as I could have helped her if I could just have grabbed her.As OH said I tried my best but it just wasn't good enough.

Good morning all, another day , another backache. I'm beginning to think it will never go away, it's been almost constant since flipping Christmas. My hips are now aching, it wakes me in the night, what with that and needing to spend a penny about 3times a night I'm completely worn out. But every cloud has a sliver lining, I've put the slow cooker at 6 am this morning so a chicken casserole will be waiting for me when I get home from town . PLUS tomorrow is when DD finds out if she is having a boy or girl in July .Bring me sunshine in your smile.

Good morning everyone. Our weather forecast is for cold but dry, so if yours is the same, Nanto you should be able to get your washing out.
Mimi - Ouch - that sounds very painful, no wonder you're worn out. What are you hoping for - a girl or a boy?
Plant - it's amazing how many small pieces one bottle can go into. What a waste of good wine, too.
I need to go and do some shopping today. I've never done my supermarket shop online, but it's becoming to look more and more attractive!"Joy is what happens to us when we allow ourselves to recognise how good things really are. "

Good morning
The sun is shining, its looks lovely outside
Usual Thursday with my mum. I'm not planning to do much else, as I have bit of a sore throat and headache. DD2 and GD have a cold so I think I have caught it!
I was going to ask the same question Mimi, any preferences?
Clover, you tried your best for the blackbird, which is more than many people would have done.“A grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.” – Unknown
