OH is ironing, I'm on here I will do some at some point this week! I have a few domestic chores to do this morning, I shan't be sitting here all morning!
GD is back at school, so I will be picking her up as usual. I haven't seen her since Boxing Day, I have missed her! We have Mary Poppins as our talking book for the journey back this time. I love those books so am looking forward to that too

I stood on my reading glasses (not the new expensive varifocals, thank goodness) The left lens fell out and although I put it back the frame is all wonky! I'm hoping if I pop into Boots opticians tomorrow they can improve them.

don't say a word but we have gone all day with out it raining . ( Well in this part of the country at least ) And we also had some sunshine at some stage.
We popped to town today to pick up a few odds and ends and we came home with a sofa !
Not literally you understand, its being delivered in about 4-6 weels time which gives me enough time to try and sell our old sofa.
When we lived in our old house we had a very large corner piece but it proved to be far to big for our little flat so we had to sacrifice the middle and end piece so that we could 'make' a sofa with the remaining two pieces. It has served us well but it is still a little too big for our lounge. We did promise ourselves almost two years ago that we would get a new sofa so its hardly been an on the spur of the moment purchase .

Nice to get a new sofa isn't it sometimes it takes weeks or months to finally decide to look never mind find what you want , will it go with your curtains etc MIMI or will you have to renew them too 😊

It Iwill match everything perfectly, as we spent a lot of money on this flat when we moved in we didn't want to have to turn around buying curtains, carpet, cushions etc .

I used to make my own Clover, with vegetable suet, but I have to be honest and say I buy frozen one's now.A neighbour of ours used to make hers with margarine.

Another rainy dull day but we are promised very cold weather for next week, well that will teach my daffodils and wallflowers to be in such a hurry to burst in bloom ! Joking apart though I know my flowers may well suffer in winters late arrival, it has to be more of a worry for our British farmers who rely on our weather being seasonal. I've heard the crops like early fruits and asparagus are likely to suffer the most.
Back to my sofa, the colour is graphite, grey to you and me. My old sofa is black/grey so it's not to much of a colour change. In the lounge we have a feature wall that is ...... Red ! It's not as bad as it seems it's not a bright red, it's has a brick fireplace surround . The other three walls are in parchment, cream to you and me ! We have a cream carpet , cream curtains with red poppies on and two matching scatter cushions . So the new sofa should match perfectly.

Hello everyone.
Early start today, I had to be out by 8.30 to look after GS, left there early afternoon there to take mum shopping etc. Fish and chips for tea, which I stopped off for on the way home. At last time to come online

Freezing windy day today. Had a lovely swim in the new leisure center, it is an amazing place. I am ATM at my Ds and Dil house supposedly looking after my two GS but as one is sixteen and the other fourteen I think they are looking after me, I am only sleeping here and feeding them. I shall go back to my place after they go to school and the eldest is off to camp tomorrow I will collect his brother after school and go back to my place for one night and then back here for Sunday night. Their parents are in New York until Monday. It is not a very warm house and I am freezing, I have my socks and a cardigan on in bed and I am still cold, can't wait to get back to my bed tomorrow and I will make sure the heating is on and very high when I sleep again on Sunday

Good morning all. I've been awake at stupid o'clock with random thoughts going through my head , things like, will my three quarter sleeve silk jacket that matches my dress I wore to my DDs wedding be warm enough for an April wedding and should I wear my matching hat, will other guests be wearing hats I wonder or will it just be the mother of the bride. Plus should I buy new shoes as I recall the ones I wore to DDs wedding cut my feet up something rotten. That reminds me I still have a dress and jacket I wore to DSs wedding 14 years ago and sadly can no longer fit into it, should I sell it on eBay, is it easy to sell things on eBay, oh our sofa , I must try and sell that, perhaps I will do that on Facebook....... and I wonder why I can't sleep !!!!
