It's a sad day in our household today. Yesterday OH brother passed away. Although he had been diagnosed with Alzheimer's well over a year ago and he had to give up living in his bungalow and live in a care home his death was sudden. Over the weekend he picked up an infection which had made the symptoms of Alzheimer's even worse. He had also lost the ability to walk. OH was very close to his elder brother but at the moment he seems to be coping ok. I do worry what effect it will have on him as he has been so depressed since his heart attack and it's only been these last few seasons weeks that there as actually been an improvement in him.

Mimi, I'm really sorry to hear about your BIL. I would have posted this before the post to Daisy, but I came across her post then replied. I then went to the following page where I read your sad news. I just didn't want you to think I'm insensitive to your news. Love to all.
Oma, I'm a little behind with the news on here as I didn't know they were keeping Brian in hospital. The last I read he was coming out Monday a.m & going to hospital in the afternoon. So pleased they've identified the problem. Wishing you both well.Last edited by Nana; 20-10-2015, 02:18 PM."Good friends help you to find important things when you have lost them....your smile, your hope, and your courage."

Mimi,I'm so sorry for your loss and hope your OH copes well with it.
Oma,what made you think of my OH I wonder! He's going on okay at the moment but the last diagnosis he had was Alzheimers. Thank goodness the problems on his head were a few years ago now.
If Brian is getting bored he must be getting better.
Love to all poorly ladies and please look after yourselves.xx

One of our friends has skin cancer on her face and is to be treated soon. She is real sun worshipper, and doesn't seem to protect her face. As she has had breast cancer and cancer runs in her family, I always thought she was unwise. Hopefully all will be sorted out though.“A grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.” – Unknown

I also seem to be a bit behind here. I think I have wished Oma and Brian well. I have missed some birthdays and commiserations/condolences so I apologise. I haven't been feeling myself. Husband says it is anxiety with the end of my secondment and the going back into my "real life job". I seem to be combining the two at the moment and probably not very successfully. Just heard that on the last working day before my holiday my meeting has been changed from 1.00 until 4.00 to 1.30 to 5.30 which means M25 at around 7.30 by the time I get home and car loaded and depending on traffic and probably 9 ish before we reach hotel. I shouldn't really but I think I might swerve the afternoon meeting. Problem is I have to leave early from the one late November because of a Princes Trust event which I have been asked to speak at.
Mmmm I think I will have a gin and tonic and have a think about it.............If you want to go fast go alone, if you want to go far go together

Good morning everyone
Zizi, you need that holiday, once you get there, or even into the airport lounge, you can relax and recharge your batteries a bit.
This morning I have a huge pile of ironing to do. OH and I normally share, but with her right arm out of action it's all down to me (as is all the cooking, driving, hoovering, bringing up the morning tea etc etc etc!) This afternoon I pick up GD from school as usual. This week it is my GS, her cousins, birthday! OH will come with me to pick her up and we will go from there to playbarn to meet GS and his mum and dad for some birthday fun“A grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.” – Unknown
