Yesterday our little G was here all day and today, im looking forward to a visit from DS, GF and Baby, nearly 2 weeks old, I will get my cuddles, thankfully mam is one of those mummys who let you hold as long as you like, I wont keep him all to myself will share him with his Great Nana she is calling in too, so going jump in shower and be ready.....

Bruddy cold and raining here. Going out shortly as have to do some interviews for the homeless charity I work with. Tomorrow is my big event 8am to 10.30 then clearing up then off to a roof garden project as a site monitor and after that to Roehampton Uni students Union who are restoring a 100 year old apple orchard. Both projects are very obviously outside and guess what? It is going to chuck it down all day!!!
I am going to be a drowned rat by the end of the day. Today is also drowned rat day...........If you want to go fast go alone, if you want to go far go togetherComment

Remember my friends DS being killed in a road accident seems but they will never know that it could have been on purpose, turns out he was in massive debt and the police said it would be very bad luck that someone driving at 80 mph would hit a parked truck in a lay bye it was on a road in the countryside fields all around. I did find it strange that at the funeral one of his friends had commented that the past 3yrs Richard had changed somewhat I thought it was on odd thing to say now I guess we didn't know him. I spoke to OH who was a mechanical engineer many year ago and had to go out to these vehicles to bring them back to the garage and he said it happens a lot that people drive into other vehicles at great speed to commit suicide, I am gobsmacked what a way to go!
I saw his widow the other day she has bought a dog, I suppose its company for the little girlComment

Have just been and bought some new curtains for dining room. Found some really nice ones in Dunelm. So one set is up, but I can't be bothered doing the big ones, so they'll have to wait until tomorrow.

It was a cold, miserable and wet day here too. Definitely not Spring!!
I had my annual MOT at the surgery this afternoon, and it's official - I'm definitely getting younger every year - BP, cholesterol and weight are all down - not much, but better than being up! At this rate I'll have to change my details to Age: 21 and you'll ban me as an impostor Granny!!!

Very cold here yesterday too.
Tonight OH and I are eating out with our closest group of friends. We all go out to eat near our birthdays, and birthday girl is treated to her meal. As our 2 birthdays are only a month apart we can usually only fit in a joint one, which is tonight. My eye has got worse and worse ...back to doctor this morning - now she thinks its shingles and I have to go to hospital eye clinic for
them to check it out. They have rung can't see me until Monday .... it is very painful.
