    Good morning. Hoping for some decent weather today, I'm itching to get the grass cut.

    Oma, having a new carpet leads onto changing other things.

    Mimi, your garden project will be lovely when it's done.

    Dinner is cod in breadcrumbs, baby potatoes crisped up in the air fryer, vegetables and parsley sauce.
    Sometimes I forget to like posts,but that doesn't mean I don't like them.

      Today I have invited my friend and ex neighbour T for lunch. I will pick him up before midday and drop him off again on my way to collect GS2 from school.

            Plant, my back is in need of a rest by Friday so never at it's best. Lots of picking up baby on Thursdays, and this week Wednesday afternoon too!

            DD2 is dropping off GS's Nintendo Switch for us to play after school. He has seen some Grandparents Vs grandchildren thing on YouTube. Wish me luck!!

              I dreamt about you last night , we were sitting in the waiting room of our local Eye infirmary and I was saying it was far too far for you to travel for a eye appointment, but you said it was the nearest eye hospital to you .
              So I insisted you stayed the night with us before you drove back home 😁

              Been to MILs , it was a nice visit she was on top form. We taking her out for tea on Tuesday as a Mother’s Day gift as we never know what to get her.

              Its Dark and dreary here and a bitter cold wind , we popped into B&M and Iceland on the way home
              I was glad to get in and put the heating on.

                Yay, I got the grass cut and hubby did his jobs. Even though I say it myself it looks good.

                  Well, I've finally read back over all your posts, but as always if you miss a few days on Chat it's hard to comment on everything. Thank. you all for your kind comments and good wishes - I really appreciate every one of them.

                  I've posted in YEO, feeling I've been on an emotional rollercoaster this week. I forgot I booked Sainsburys for early tomorrow (thinking we might be going to visit OH's Sister and BIL) so another early start. I'm off to bed! Night, night everyone.

                    Good morning.

                    Looking a bit dull this morning, but that's how it was yesterday morning, then the sun came out.

                    Car booked in for MOT later this morning.
                    ​​​l'll go with hubby, then we have a walk round the village, then go back for the car.

                    Dinner is a chicken tikka for hubby and I'll have a cheese omelette.

                        Free day today. It has been a bit of a busy week for various reasons, and I have looked forward to today! I will be popping into M&S foodhall at some point to buy muffins to take to the brunch at DD2's tomorrow, but that's all.

                          Good Saturday morning, everyone. The sun's shining at the moment, but rain is forecast. On the bright side, the sunshine and showers seem to be bringing on the garden nicely.

                          Nanto, I hope the car passes, and you've had a nice walk round the village. Do you have good shops in your village?

                          Gem, you've certainly had a busy week, so you need a free day to catch your breath and relax a bit. I'm sure you're also looking forward to brunch at your DD2's tomorrow. Enjoy your week-end. x

                          I did sleep well, thank you, Gem, and feel much better today. No particular plans for me either today. Some washing and a bit of tidying up, I suppose. If it's dry enough I'll get out and do some gardening.

                            Did my usual Saturday clean through although not much needed doing ,
                            We then popped to Lidl , needed some Lasagna sheets , be making home made Lasagna for tea.
                            Although I’m not a lover of pasta home made lasagna I can eat a small portion of with a nice side salad.

                            My niece the one who had to have the stoma after her bowels perforated , was rushed into Hospital yesterday with another bowel blockage ,
                            She was in a lot of pain , they rushed her in for a scan then put her on a IV drip and pain killers and something to shift the blockage ,
                            I haven’t heard yet this morning if her stoma was working again but at least she’s in the right place .

                              Oma, I'm so sorry to hear your niece isn't well. She's such a brave lady and has done well dealing with her health problems. I hope the blockage has cleared and she can just rest and recover.

                              How is your new carpet? Did it put a smile on your face this morning? I've never made a lasagna - it looks like one of those never ending processes with so many different ingredients to prepare and assemble! Perhaps I could pop up and join you for tea if I promise to bring a selection of M&S flavoured hot cross buns with me?
