Good Sunday morning, and happy Mothering Sunday and happy Mother's Day to all our grannies and their DDs and DILs.

Plant, I only saw a couple of snippets of the rugby, but yes, the last few minutes were incredible. You certainly had a busy day celebrating GGS's 7th birthday. Doesn't time fly - it hardly seems any time at all since we were welcoming him as your first GGC. Yes, cataracts can cause weird light effects. I hope you can have it fixed soon.

Oma, I hope the horrible weather won't put a dampener on your Mother's Day breakfast. Enjoy your day off.

Gem, it will be quite a gathering at your DD's. Even if SIL3 doesn't make it, at least you all know he's safely home.

Nanto, thank you for the lovely graphic. No, they never listen, but it's lovely that he got you a card. Enjoy your day.

I caught up on sleep last night - didn't wake up until 10 o'clock, so just off for a shower. We've got sunshine (I'd share it if I could, Oma) but it's too wet to get on with the garden. Perhaps later!

Good morning, Plant, the parcel contained my new specs! I expect, if they don't show up, that the company can claim for the delivery firm. I will phone tomorrow, see if I can chat to a human! There are so many complaints lately.

My friend next door is going to the eye clinic this week about the cataracts, she is having trouble driving etc so I hope they can help her.

Quite a party then, 7 already as Daisy said doesn’t seem that long ago.
Maybe your cataract is ready to be removed now , Im sure they will advise when you go for your eye test,
Isnt it strange I dreamt about you being in our Eye infirmary the other night 😁

          Daisy
          You needed that sleep.

Good afternoon everyone. I hope you all enjoyed the day.

Lovely to see you Enfys, I'm sorry you have been under the weather.

That long sleep will have done you good Daisy.

That sounds a lovely morning Oma, plus bonus text from DS!

We had a lovely time and felt very spoiled. OH got lovely cards of her own from all 3DDs too.
From them all I have an Escape Room and lunch to look forward to! I'll let you all know if I escape this time
Plant it was a crowd! OH, me, 3DDs 2 SILs, 4 GC, SILs parents, my ex and his OH! DD2 does have the biggest house in the family so there is plenty of room. SIL3 made it despite his long trip yesterday.

Gem, that was lovely for S to get cards as well.

DS2 put some scratchcards in my card.

                DS1 brought a card,scratchcards,forrero rocher and a cherry pie.
He brought the pie in case i hadn't done a pudding, but i'd done rhubarb crumble.
I'v put the pie in the freezer, and i will do it next time DS1 comes for dinner.

I'm envious of the Ferrero Rocher Nan2!

OH was happy to get her cards, one Mother's Day, one saying Bonus Mum and one Lovely Stepmum. She is a good 'extra' mum and grandma, but it's lovely to be recognised.

Gem, what a fantastic gathering, and I'm so glad S was pleased with her cards.

Nanto, if any of your scratch cards come up trumps I'm sure your DSs will help you to spend them. Seriously, lovely day for you, and the bonus of a cherry pie in the freezer.

Enfys, I hope you're feeling better now and enjoying the signs of Spring.

Oma, it's always nice to have flowers, isn't it, and you must be pleased that DS got in touch. The candle sounds lovely. I don't think they're easy to make. Was it a scented candle?

Lizzie, how frustrating that the parcel was your new glasses. I hope they can be replaced quickly.

I had a lovely (cheeky!) card from DS1, and I'd just rang to say 'thank you' when the doorbell went and there was a huge bouquet of flowers from him. So I rang again to say thank you for them. I spent a happy half hour or so organising 3 vases of flowers.

We ended up not seeing DS2. GD1 was on an orienteering course in Dorset for her Duke of Edinburgh Award, and it was over two days, so had to be ferried backwards and forwards each day. Three parents were doing car share, but one had to drop out because of family illness, so GD's mum and dad did the extra journey to bring the girls home. So I'll see DS2 sometime in the week.

I didn't do much - a load of washing this morning. I made some biscuits this afternoon and then took Eva for a walk.

A belated Happy Mothers Day to all you lovely ladies! I spent the morning watching GS playing football in the rain! it was their final match which they won and which took them to top spot in their league. Bittersweet win as my Sil ,who's coached the same lads since they were 5, has decided to give up. I'm Scottish Granny to a lot of them and it's kind of sad that i won't be going to cheer them on, but it's difficult to field a team some weekends because some are working etc.

As I said it was a bit wet and I'd decided to walk to the game, about 3km away from me. I was OK until some idiot drove too close to the kerb and gave me an unwelcome shower! When I got home the wet clothes went in the machine only for it to die on me .

Plant.... I just want to warn you that if you hear the church bells being rung not very well in the morning blame me! The class I help with reading are on a visit to the church tomorrow and I've been told there will be an opportunity to play the organ and try bellringing! Should be fun!!!

Hope everyone has been thoroughly spoilt today. Sleep tight ladies xx

Good morning. That bird in the graphic doesn't look very happy.

Hope you all had a lovely day yesterday.

I hope we have a better day weather wise, it was miserable yesterday.

Just the usual kind of day today, always end up with something to be done.

Dinner is tomato sausage, mash, vegetables and onion gravy.

                            Good morning everyone.

That's a cardinal I think Nan2. It reminds me of the time we saw one in America. OH was so thrilled you would have thought we'd spotted a unicorn

Very annoying Lizzie! I'm glad you have them now.

Daisy, what a lovely surprise those flowers must have been!

                            Happy bellringing WG

Aqua class this morning, not sure if either of my friends will be there for coffee. No other plans today.

I hope everyone was thoroughly spoiled yesterday. My Sil cooked the roast dinner for us all.

Lizzie, pleased to hear the glasses have turned up.
