Nanto, I don't think I'd enhance the world of ballet if I joined in with your young dancer! Isn't it good to have an really easy meal sometimes!

Oma, It's dull and has been pouring down here. Does Storm go to the dog cafe with DD? I seem to remember him having a visit when he was quite a young puppy - or was that something else?

Lizzie, whatever that bug was, it's certainly knocked you for six, so I'm glad you're finally feeling better. Yes, the newcomer to your Aqua class would benefit much more from one-to-one sessions. The ride through the park sounds beautiful. Spring flowers are such a treat aren't they.

Plant, very happy birthday to your DD. I hope she has some treats lined up. GD must be very relieved that the dentist didn't say the wisdom tooth needs extracting.

Gem, poor S must be so fed up with the golf course being closed. The one my friend goes to (where we meet for lunch) is just as bad. She's played two rounds of 9 holes since before Christmas. It's not doing the Golf Club finances any good at all.

The dentists practice was having 'one of those days'. There was chaos on both the M3 and the M27 this morning, which I think made a couple of members of staff late. I was only seeing the hygienist luckily. We had our usual bit of chat and she went to put the angled light on - and the bulb went. She had to get the dentist to come in and change it. It was very wet getting into the dentist - there's an unmade very narrow access across a wide grassy area which was full of puddles, and you had to choose where to park if you wanted to keep your feet dry! OH is there at the moment, so I'll be interested to see how he gets on today.

Earlier on I was watching 5 pigeons having a great time splashing about in the puddles in our cul de sac. At least someone appreciates the weather.

Just about to make a sandwich for lunch and then I'll do some baking. We're going up to DS1's for a couple of days tomorrow - it's DIL1's birthday. Her mum has organised a cake but I thought it would be nice to have some other goodies. Crunchy flapjacks are a favourite with the GSs and DS1.

Yes Storm goes but he’s not impressed he ignores any other dogs ,
Hes the same on a Sunday morning when we go to the garden centre Cafe ,
Lots of dogs come in he lays down and doesn’t give them a second look even if they bark at him 😁

Hope the boys like the Flapjacks ,
lady who worked with my DD many years ago maybe 30 years ago now when she ran a day care centre made amazing flapjacks ,
when they had a open day it was the first thing everyone went for . I still all these years later remember them 😁

I made a lemon drizzle cake this afternoon and then was torn between making crunchy flapjacks or something very similar - more like a cross between flapjacks and ginger cake. So I decided to make the crunchy flapjacks but put ginger in as well. I haven't tried them yet!

I had just got everything out of the oven and tidied up ready to take Eva out when it poured with rain again. It's also gone cold as well. Still, we managed to get a walk round the block without getting too wet.

Certainly no chance of any gardening.

Oma, Storm is very good round other dogs! Eva's getting better. Today we saw Barky Dog and she just looked but then ignored her. I wonder how that lady made her flapjacks - they sound wonderful. The recipe I use gets the 'crunch' from crushed cornflakes.

Daisy you are making me hungry!

Busy day tomorrow so if I'm not around much that will be why!
Taking GS1 to school, then to aquafit and quick coffee with my friends. Home for lunch and shower then reflexology. A short gap then off to collect the baby from nursery. He and his mum are staying the night as daddy is away .

              Good morning.

Daisy, ginger flavoured flapjacks sound good. We like anything flavoured with ginger.
Enjoy your couple of days with DS and DIL.

Busy day indeed for you Gem.

Dinner is steak and onion pie, mashed potatoes, both from the freezer, but both homemade. Veg and gravy.

Gemini, very busy day for you but don’t overdo it.

Daisy I used to make flapjacks when I fed the family, mine were always chewy.

No cleaner again today, once a fortnight is okay but I expect it will be another fortnight before she comes again. If my GD comes today I will get her to help me change the bedding. Board games this afternoon. No news as such on the house buying, GD and her partner have put in an offer for the asking price but the owners want to give their present purchasers a bit more time to sort out their problem.

                    Good Wednesday morning, everyone.

We had a frost overnight, but the sun's shining now. But no time for gardening, as we're off to DS1's after lunch sometime. Before then, I've got a few jobs that need doing, and I overslept this morning. I'll take Eva over to DS2's about lunch-time.

It's DIL1's birthday today and I haven't even wrapped her presents yet!

We're back on Friday afternoon, but I'll pop in when I can.

                    Gem, enjoy your busy day.

                    Nanto, what a lovely graphic.

Plant, oh dear, I hope you don't have to wait another 2 weeks for your cleaner.

Oma, I bet your new carpet will look lovely. But you're right - lifting heavy furniture is a youngster's job.

Oma, No mention of the tooth having to come out. Lovely new carpet, useful having a Sil who is in that trade.

DD and sil have turned my mattress, the bedding in the wash, who needs a cleaner! Sil has put the furniture back in my new sunroom, took some arranging as this one is octagonal so no one straight wall to put the settee on but we think we have found the best arrangement. I will finish putting the blanket covers on the furniture. I might have a look for some new furniture, something with fabric cushions, it was very cheap furniture when we bought it.

Not good morning but good afternoon from me

GS1 safely dropped at school, aquafit, coffee with friends and reflexology treatment all done! Cuppa and laptop time before setting out to collect the baby from nursery. He and DD3 are staying the night. She will come here from work.

                        Pretty morning graphic Nan2.

Plant, is the new cleaner a bit unreliable?

Be careful taking that carpet up Oma!

Daisy I hope your DIL has a lovely birthday and you a couple of days away.

OH has gone with DD1 to look at a car. Fingers crossed! I soon get through the petrol with all this ferrying around of children!

Plant, dosappointing for the cleaner not to come.

Oma, new carpet sounds a nice colour.

Hubby wanted something out of the understairs cupboard this morning.
So,everything had to come out. Its been cleaned and hoovered.
I didn't put everyhing back in,sorted some things to go to the air ambulance collection.

Had plenty of sunshine today, just been in the garden in the sun trap having tea and cake.

Hallo everyone, it has been a lovely day after a very foggy start!

You have had a busy day Gem, hopefully DD will soon get another car, is there no school bus GS can take to school?

There is a huge, two language, school being built near here on the grounds of the school my DS's attended. In fact it is 3 in one, the original school will be in the same building and then a child care centre as well. It should be open for when the schools return after the summer holidays.

It will be busy with traffic as many of the children are brought from out of the village, mostly CD children.

Daisy, enjoy your few days away.

Oma, I hope the carpet fitting went well, as you say, we can't move heavy furniture nowadays! I have a light in the kitchen and I used to get it down regularly to clean it, I daren't do it anymore, DS2 has done it a few times for me, I do have the notion to do it, I get the steps, get up to the top, that all goes well, then, decide that with my arthritis hands I wouldn't be able to get it back up again, or drop it whilst doing it. I had an idea at the circuit training, one of the men mentioned he had stopped his part time job to get more time in his allotment, which is quite close to me, so, I was very forward and asked if he could come one day and help?? do it for me! He is going to do it.

I am going to do coffee, it will be very busy for us all next week, the men will be filling the tax return forms in, I will be there 3 times on the Monday and then the once on the Wednesday, the men go to other centres during the week so they are extra busy!

Gemini, It as been a bit hit and miss from the start. The cleaner works for a type of Agency. I am booked to have her for two hours once a fortnight, so if she can’t came for one reason or another, I have to then wait another fortnight. I am getting a bit fed up with this arrangement but she is so good I am reluctant to throw in the towel and find another, good cleaners are like hen’s teeth. I pay £38 for two hours once a fortnight which I don’t think is bad at all, not sure what she gets.

Maybe you can speak to the cleaner and change days if it’s not easy for her that day,
MILs cleaner found she didn’t have time to always go to MIL on a Tuesday , they had a chat and she now goes on a Saturday morning once a fortnight .

I hope DD gets sorted with the car it will be easier all round wouldn’t it ,

I bet you feel better getting the cupboard sorted, I keep putting of sorting under our stairs ,
Mainly because I get it sorted and within a short time it’s a mess again as B opens the door and just puts stuff anywhere he can find a space 🙄

We got the carpet up then decided to paint the skirting boards and Radiator cabinet,

Tomorrow we will go shopping first then B has a DRs appointment ,
After lunch SIL will come put the carpet down.
This means we won’t be going to MILs till Friday this week ,
We won’t have the dog on Friday, my week is all out of line 😳
