Morning Nanto,everyone

nice to have a no plan day Nanto but I bet something turns up.

Just had Storm for a walk in between showers ,
Its rained so hard it’s like a bog out there ,
The grass is hard to walk on and areas are flooded

got towels in the wash and I will go to see to cats and fish about 10 , I need a rest and a cup of tea first .
It was the same last year DD was away we had massive thunder storms ,

Its so dark and dreary .
Will spend a while sewing all his murdered toys back together today , this boy keeps me busy 😁

We have had a few sunny days, sorry my friends in the North. I shall be watching the tennis and football today, not a good day for folk who hate watching sport. The GGC won a few prizes for their entries in the village show yesterday. H was anxious to get home and eat the krispies she had made.

Oma, busy lady, walking Storm and feeding cats. Loved the pics of Storm opening his presents. He is such a character.

Well the black clouds are rolling over after a sunny, warm morning! I was booked on a papercutting class this afternoon but as I didn't want to be coughing and wheezing I arranged to pick up the templates etc before the class started and do it at home this afternoon. Needless to say, I haven't !

It's the village picnic on the Common, not sure how well attended it's been. I didn't bother going as there didn't seem to be a lot going on!

Plant, thanks for offering to pick me up, but at the moment, I'm trying to avoid passing this infection on. Maybe we could meet at the nice cafe on The Parade when I'm feeling better? I've finished with my reading duties for this year. Hopefully, I've helped some of them! Covid lockdown really did have an effect on those little ones who should have been starting school.

I found some overripe fruit in the fridge, so I'm going to go and make some mixed fruit jam with it! I shall report back how it turns out!

St Swithin's Day tomorrow! It'd be nice if we had no rain, but looking at the forecast, it's unlikely! This Summer has been a washout so far! DS tells me it's in the 30s in Slovakia. He's going to get a shock when he's back later this month!

Ooo WG can't beat homemade jam.

Plant, i hate cooking. Thats why when i make meals,i make a couple of extra for the freezer.
I would much rather clean something than cook something.

Nan2 I always think people who enjoy cooking are lucky. There are very few housework jobs which you NEED to do every day, whereas cooking is every day apart from eating out or takeaways.
I'm glad OH and I take turns with the main meal, but it still comes round to my turn too often!

It was my OH’s birthday on St.Swithins Day. WG. I think my family were going to that picnic, at least it was fine. When you are feeling better and I am back from France, we must arrange a meet up.

I have had a fall going up the two steps going to my sunroom, as it was sunny I thought I would watch the tennis final in there. I wouldn’t be able to tell you how it happened. The things I was carrying scattered everywhere. I managed to send a message to my DD on my I pad, she and my Sil arrived to help me up. I have a large bruise on my shin and felt s bit shook up so I watched the tennis with them.

Nanto, you always sound very well organised with your cooking I am surprised you don’t like cooking, just well organised.

Oh Plant I’m not surprised you were shook up ,
I fell down the last two stairs the other day ,
GS came rushing into the hall to help but I was ok just hurt my knee that was already playing up.

Just As well you had your iPad and DD saw the message , are you ok now ? Xx

No plans today apart from tidying up and doing the ironing. Could do with putting a load of lights in to wash.

A nice start to the day,
Dog walker picking storm up at 8.30
I will then go see to cats while he’s away.
Not a good nights sleep , I jumped out of bed at 2.30 thinking I heard him choking, rushed downstairs and he was asleep.
I must have dreamed it. Couldn’t get back to sleep till gone 4 and up again at 6 so I’m tired before the day starts.

Plant, I hope you're ok after your fall yesterday, and that bruise on your shin heals quickly.

Oma, it's all go when you're looking after a small zoo. I bet you spoil all of them. I hope you've got time for a rest this afternoon.

Nanto, our washing basket is overflowing, but with rain forecast all day it will have to wait! Enjoy your fish and chips.
