Love the hair what a lovely photo 😍

    Gem
Hope you don’t have to lift baby today , how is it after the heat pack has it eased any?
maybe less kicking in Aqua for a while xxx

    Plant
GD doing your cleaning will benefit both of yous, you can tell her exactly how you like things done and it’s a little money in her pocket to help out , no doubt H will help too 😁
Hope the Dr can be of help with your breathing , it’s horrible when you feel out of breath like that xx

    Daisy
Obviously Eva wants to know if she’s missing out on a bed or two 😁
Storm comes in and has to lick his new bed all over , I have no idea why ,
He gives it a good old going over then settles down on it, didn’t do that with his old bed.

I don’t think B could just sit about all day he likes to be doing something even if it’s just cooking and baking , that’s fine by me 😁
We try to go out every morning even if it’s just for bread to get out of the house , I sometimes marvel at how well we adapted during lock down when the most we could do was go in the garden ,

Went to B& Q this morning I want to change the sitting room main wall paper ,
We couldn’t see anything we liked,
We are now thinking maybe have it panelled, we have it up the stairs and I love it ,
DD has her long sitting room / Dinning room main wall done and it looks good,
Then it will just be deciding what colour to paint it .

My hands are so much better today , a little sore still but more flexible and less pain ,
I managed to do the ironing without too much trouble so definitely getting better.

Lizzie, it is years since we met up but you haven't changed

Oma, that's exactly what I am telling myself today. Don't do all the back kicks next time !!
Its not too bad, but it ached a lot when E and I went for walk, luckily a short one! The heat really helps so I will do that again this evening.

Little E has been his cute and adorable self all day. We went for short nature walk (him pointing out all the flowers and leaves ) before his lunch. I'm glad we went then as it was torrential rain most of the afternoon . OH came in very wet!

Plant, my apologies - I didn't see your post when I posted this morning. I wasn't ignoring you. x How did you get on at the doctors? The breathlessness must be very unpleasant, so I hope they can give you something to help. I bet your GD1 did a great job on your housework, and no doubt little H kept you entertained at the same time. How is she getting on at pre-school?

Oma, perhaps Storm's new bed just tastes nice! Or he's trying to get it to smell like his old one. Eva is a very 'sniffy' dog - she tracks and air scents, and walks take forever as every blade of grass is a new delight to her.

I'm so glad your hands are feeling better, but take it easy on that ironing - you don't want them hurting again.

There wasn't much to show for my gardening today, but I'm quite pleased with what I have done. It's always nicer getting plants unwrapped after the winter than it is the other way round in the autumn. I've also sown a few seeds and put some in the summerhouse and some on the kitchen window sill.

I'd just finished when a neighbour called round. Had I got a minute to go and see something in her garden? Well of course I had. They had recently put an owl box up in a mature oak tree in their back garden, and they already have a resident - a tawny owl has been sitting at the entrance since yesterday. We were both so excited! Apparently she/he (we don't know which) went off to hunt at dusk last night but has returned today, so we're hoping it's a lady owl and she might make her home there! We watched from the friend's kitchen window for ages!

          Good morning.

Oma pleased your hands are getting better.
Hope everyone else pain and ache free.

Daisy, how exciting about the owl. Looking forward to hearing any updates.

It's breezy again, but its quite bright.

Hubby out for a couple of hours this morning.
I'll be doing some tidying up then get the ironing done.

Homemade fish and chips for dinner today. The battered fish is courtesy of captain Birds Eye.

            Morning Nanto -ladies

            Another wet day here.
Dog just arrived he’s had his treats so now in the garden he won’t stay out long in the rain.

            Daisy
How lucky to have a nesting owl, I hope it’s female and you see baby owlets 😁

            Nanto
We we’re just talking about fish & Chips yesterday , we buy the Aldi extra special fish in beer batter , lovely with chips and mushy peas.
I do like them from the chip shop on occasions but find they a bit greasy and stay with you quite a while , every time you burp you taste them again .

Im having a cup of tea then I’m going to clean all my cupboards doors in the kitchen and the dreaded knife draw AGAIN😳

Pulled the fridge out yesterday , my god it was disgusting under there, and we counted 20 different tablets that had dropped on the floor rolled under never to be seen again ,
I was ashamed of myself , although to be fair they not easy to pull our all the time are they
Well that’s my excuse and I’m sticking to it 🤣

              Good morning everyone.

Dull but so far dry here.

Daisy, I have never known anyone with an owl box. How lovely!

Nan2, it's not at all bright here, in fact it's now raining!

Oma, it's reassuring to know that even you have neglected under appliance areas!

Free day today. No school pick up as GS2 has something after school, and the friend I was meeting for coffee had to rearrange.
OH and I are going clothes hunting for her, and we will have lunch out.
The boiler man is here to fix the fault on our new boiler, which should only take 15 minutes.

Oma, I am frightened to move my fridge, it is so old I don’t want to take any chances it might not like it. Whatever do you do with your knife drawer? I hope your hands are less painful now.

Daisy, how wonderful for your neighbour to have an owl in her owl box. Dr still puzzled about my breathlessness.

Gemini, enjoy your free day shopping with S. Hope you find some bargains.

GD did my housework yesterday, she cleans very well. H was so tired after 3 days at preschool she had a long sleep. Whilst I was in the doctors, which backs onto the common, GD and H took a football and had a kick about. I was so tired after they had gone home, got something to eat and just sat and watched television, then retired to a lovely clean, freshly made bed.

Nanto, Lovely greeting from Mini. Don’t work too hard, can I bring my ironing?

I’m sure crumb gremlins come in during the night and make a mess of my knife draw 😁
Pleased to hear GD did a good job of your cleaning ,
Have you got a follow up appointment with your Dr about your breathing? There must be something causing it.

Good Friday morning, everyone. It's dull, windy and chilly here - but at least it's not raining. At this rate I'll have to start watering the garden!

Oma, I think you should be kind to yourself about anything under the fridge - I'm sure you're not supposed to keep moving them! But as for the knife drawer, I really sympathise. The culprit that inserts crumbs into it is definitely a little gremlin who creeps in in the wee small hours, and uses each knife in turn to slice crumbly, crusty bread and puts the knives straight back into the drawer and then sweeps the crumbs in as well to hide the giveaway mess on the work surface! There is no stopping this gremlin and all you can do is accept it as a fact of life.

Plant, I'm glad your GD did such a good job. Little H must be putting all her energy into per-school to sleep like that. Has the doctor suggested any tests etc to get to the cause of your breathlessness?

Nanto, homemade fish and chips sound wonderful. I hope you get your jobs done. I've still got a pile of ironing.

Gem, how lovely to have a free day. Enjoy your shopping - I hope S finds something she likes. We have a friend in the village who makes bird boxes for charity, and he was recently asked to make an owl box for the first time. The one our neighbours have is from the RSPB and looks very sturdy. They've positioned it very high up a mature oak tree with a clear approach path to the entrance. We'll all be watching eagerly, hoping for babies.

Daisy, Dr said it is either my heart or lungs so she is going to make a final test and send me to a clinic where they test the lungs. I just hope it isn’t at Stoke Mandeville. It is my DD who is wanting answers for my breathlessness, I feel it is just old age.

Had a few hours at DDs tonight ,
SIL has had a huge job on today and yesterday , a big new 6 bed house , every room needed carpets and flooring , it’s taken all of them 2 days and he’s in the shop tomorrow, bless him he’s shattered .
They were coming out with us tomorrow to celebrate MILs birthday but he will be too tired.

DD is going in with him to help out with paper work etc .

Daisy them gremlins get everywhere, glad it’s not just me they visit 😁

Oma, it can be very tiring running your own business.

Lots going on here today. Man came to fix the boiler fault, then I had a long phone call with a lady from the FB knee replacement forum. She had contacted me asking if I would talk to her, which I was happy. She lives locally and will be having the same surgeon as I had. She was referred by her GP 9 months ago and hasn't even got a date to see the consultant so heaven knows how long she would wait for her operation. She is considering going private.
Then OH and I went to Primark, M&S and Boots, then to lunch.
This afternoon friends called round OH to witness a signature and stayed for a cuppa and chat.

Plant, I agree with your DD - there is an explanation for your breathlessness, and I'm sure treatment will be available.

Oma, your SIL will need a week off after all that. x. I bet the gremlins go round the country invading innocent knife drawers with their messy crumbs.

This morning I decided I really had to clean the main bathroom. Eva kept coming in to me - she flings the door open with her nose. She must be desperate to go in the garden, I said to myself. So I dried my hands and took her downstairs. She ran out into the garden, all excited, with a huge tug toy in her mouth and turned round to look at me. Her expression was clearly - 'look a game of tug will be much more fun than that boring cleaning'. . I've put a little video on Granny Support.

Good morning everyone, Daisy, I saw this yesterday and thought it was interesting for you, the man lives in next village to us and has got the award for the worlds best wedding photography! https://www.trouwfotograaf.nl/en/recent-weddings/

It is still so cold here, at least it should stay dry today.

I can imagine Eva wanting to play when you were busy cleaning.

Gem, about the photo, it must be almost 15 years ago that we last met, I remember being in York when GD2 was a baby.

                              Oma, SIL will be shattered!

The GC have another week at school then 2 weeks "May" holiday, last year at this time I had GD1 one for 10 days for her to study. They are going to Spain, 4 nights in Barcelona then on to Tarragonna, DS1 is there regular for his work so he knows the area. He was in Munchen last week, due to arrive home late yesterday evening.

I am going on a nature walk in this part of the village this afternoon, a lady I know from the gym is chairwoman of the local group, they have placed plaques through the area explaining nature information etc, they are being launched this afternoon during the walk. Tea and coffee after the walk!

Good morning. Bright here, but will it last.

Daisy, lovely photo of Eva. Playing is better than cleaning.

Oma, I can't clean under fridge without hubby to help move it. When I tell him it wants doing he always says why bother, nobody can see it. But I always get my way with it.

Plant, hope you can get answers for your breathlessness.

Going into town today. Not for anything special, but it gets us out. I do want to get quite a bit of stuff from the butchers. We will eat out.
