    Good morning ladies.

A wet and possibly slightly less windy morning here.

Cheesy mash is one of my favourites Nan2.

Daisy, how lovely to have your GDs coming. I take it your school Easter holidays differ from ours, as my GC return to school tomorrow.

No plans today until we go out at 2.30. I may have a bath. It's always a question of whether the pleasure of soak in the bubbles is outweighed by the most weird and uncomfortable feeling of resting the knee joint on a foam pillow to get out! Baths are rarity now for that reason.

    Have a good Sunday everyone.

Morning everyone from a dark wet Washington.
We had sun first thing but big black clouds and rain quickly followed.

I wanted to get in the garden to get all the leaves from behind the shed and to bring the pots with the Lillie’s out ,
That doesn’t look like it’s happening at the moment.

      Gem
Hope you have a lovely afternoon ,
A nice bath is worth the few weird moments 😁

Ive watched is it cake , some of the things like trainers lap tops etc look so real the fruit bowl I saw was amazing even the bowl itself looked like pottery.

      Daisy
Hope J is a lot better today , The girls will love the hawks Im sure, what are you going to see at the Cinema?
You managed a good bit in the garden yesterday didn’t you.

      Nanto
Back to being Cinderella for you then 🤣

Ive had a good go through this morning and put two wash loads on , had a shower now the towels are on a hot wash ,
I seem to always have towels to wash , at least 3 times a week 😳

Im going to slice some lemons and put them on a low heat in my oven,
The bulb went last week and B put a new one in ,
Turns out it was the wrong one and it had a plastic sleeve on

Yesterday B put the oven on to self clean and the bulb melted ,
My whole house smells of burning wires ,
Ive had candles on in kitchen and sitting room , switched my plug in air fresheners on and had the back door open since yesterday and can still smell it .
Im hoping the lemon smell will help .
Im not fat just 6ft too small

Oma, I hope the lemons do the trick. I rarely use my oven but it could do with a clean now.

Nanto, back to cooking now for you, nice to have a day or so without having to think what to cook.

Daisy, have a lovely day with the GD’s. Our pop-up cinema in the village hall is doing well. They have just installed something on the walls and ceiling to help with the sound. It is a very large hall with a very high ceiling. Pleased to hear J is feeling better.

Gemini, I would just love to have a bath, I do have a motor operated chair to lower me into the bath but I have to fill the bath nearly to the top to get more than my legs covered. It belonged to Sil’s mother.

WG, I expect you will see the family, pushing the pram on the way to school next week. Pleased to see you are having a good time. Nice to meet the possible Dil.

The new baby’s parents are very laid back with No3. GS1 was around last evening to borrow a tool he needed to do a job in the garden!

THey have 5and a half and a four year old! I'm exhausted now! They've just fund out J is pregnant again and I said Well, new house new baby! G looked at me very seriously and said Well I think having sex had something to do with it too!
Visited a modern art gallery on an island in the Danube yesterday. Not sure that modern art is really my thing but it was interesting and an absolutely beautiful setting. tomorrow we're going to visit a town somewhere! It looks very pretty from pictures I've seen.
Hope all sick people are feeling better and that everyone has a good start to the week. xx

WG, definately bikini weather for you. A day of sun and showers for us.

Been a quiet day really,Bro in law from the bungalow came up for an hour.

I had 3 baking potatoes that needed using,so i microwaved them then put them in the freezer.
Also made extra cheesy mash,so 3 lots are in the freezer.

I've read everyone's posts, but forgive my lack of comments tonight. I'm shattered and have an early start tomorrow.

The weather has actually been quite good - a bit windy, but sunshine as well - dried the bedding lovely. Just finished getting GDs' room ready - I needed help to get the second bed out. OH is feeling much better and wanted a stodgy dinner. We ended up with jacket potatoes, bacon and baked beans, followed by home-made rice pudding (that's the one where some of it got spilled).

Night, night one and all. xx

Good morning. Just seen the local weather on TV, she said we are in for a wet and windy week.

                  Daisy, glad OH is better.
Have a lovely time with the GD's.

No plans today, will just go with the flow.

Dinner is chips, egg and beans. One of hubby's favourite meals.

                    Good morning everyone.

More of the same then Nan2! It didn't rain here yesterday, but made up for it during the night.

I hope you get a decent sleep Daisy and are less tired now. Have a lovely time with GDs

We are glad you at least are having nice weather WG! I sounds as though you are having a lovely time

Plant, it sounds as if baby number 3 has slotted into the family well. My children were 12 and almost 10 when our baby 3 arrived and she fitted in well and easily.

It was a lovely pizza party for GS2 yesterday. All the extended family (Minus poor SIL3 who had a bad cold) making 16. Luckily DD2 has a large main room and we put up trestle tables to make one long one, and OH and I bring 5 folding chairs to add to the mix!
Aquafit this morning. I have a few random emails etc to do this afternoon.

Have a good week ladies, I hope the rain stops!

                      Morning Nanto
Im with your hubby can’t beat chips egg and beans , really the only time I enjoy eggs,

                      Daisy
Hope you have a lovely time with your girls ,

Im a bit stiff this morning , I did what I said I wasn’t going to do again but I hand washed the bathroom floor,
Doesnt sound a lot but as it’s a wet room it has that none slip flooring and too me never looks clean after mopping,
So I got a soft scrubbing brush and gave it a good scrub , took ages , doesn’t look a lot different I must admit but at least I know it’s clean.

Just popping to Sainsburys for a few bits but not much else planned,

still trying to get rid of the burning wire smell,
Its not so bad but still I can smell it ,
At the moment I have a pan of very hot vinegar in the oven fingers crossed it will absorb some of the smell .
Im not fat just 6ft too small

Oma, I hope you manage to get rid of that smell. I don’t have a sense of smell, quite dangerous at times.

Daisy, I am not surprised you are tired, I hope nit too tired to enjoy your time with the girls.

Gemini, that sounds quite a party, lovely to have all the family together celebrating.

The new addition to the family seems very laid back, he cried when he had his heel pricked for a blood sample. The other two are being kept amused by the family. My plans today are to load the car and make a trip to the tip, very exciting.

Good morning, everyone, time for a quick post! It has been so warm the last few days, the hottest start to April, ever!

I have got the table and chairs ready on the balcony etc.
Oma, try a dish of ammonia to soak up the smell, always works with paint smells etc.
Daisy, enjoy the time with the GD's.

WG, it will be lovely in Bratislava, I loved it when I visited.

Plant, my ex MIL had no sense of smell at all, could burn a pan until it melted and wouldn't smell it.

I am going to Aqua this afternoon, the office work should be finished by now but with it being so busy they have added 4 weeks to the agenda, I told the lady last week I wanted to go swimming for a change and she said it was fine, she would do the coffee etc, only, a pit bull attacked her yesterday and threw her in the air, she landed on her head, poor woman, she broke her neck 10 years ago when thrown for a horse so they have to do a scan and make sure that is not damaged again.

I had an interesting session with the doctors physcologist last week, I have to work on what she told me!

Good Monday morning (well it was morning when I started to type!).

Gem, we had rain overnight, but it's nice now. I bet the birthday boy had a wonderful time yesterday. I hope SIL3 is soon better - there are some horrible bugs going round.

Nanto, you can't beat eggs, chips and beans. Do you do your chips in the air fryer? What a lovely cheery bouquet of flowers for a Monday morning.

Oma, smells like that do hang round, and I'm sure we can still smell them even after they've really gone - it's just the thought isn't it. There's something about actually scrubbing a floor that beats any mop, sponge or steam system. I used to scrub our kitchen and utility floor at one time, but couldn't kneel for that long these days - it has to make to with steam cleaning. I hope the stiffness has worn off now.

Plant, an exciting trip to the dump - you do live it up! Master T sounds a very placid baby, but I don't blame him crying when he had the heel prick. I'm sure the older two will help to keep him entertained when he's a little bit older. My GD1 has no sense of smell either, and I was making hot chocolate drinks for them earlier and commented how nice hot chocolate smells, totally forgetting she has no idea.

Lizzie, you've been great giving up your swimming/Aqua to do the coffees, so you definitely deserve a day off. I do hope the lady is ok - that sounds like a nasty attack. It sounds as though the doctor's psychologist has opened up some new thoughts and avenues for you. I do hope they're helpful.

Just off to make lunch before we all head off to the cinema this afternoon.

That poor lady hope she’s ok , very scary to think what could have happened.
Is your GD still enjoying Lidl? Or is it only in the holidays?

                              Daisy
Mustnt be nice your GD not knowing what chocolate smells like
Is her taste ok still ?
How is Jdid his stodgy meal go down well 😁

                              Plant
We were just talking about this the other day , B was saying wouldn’t you think in this day and age heel pricks and immunisation for baby’s could be done other than by needles
Horrible to see them hurt isn’t it.

The smell is going gradually I think ,
I put a pan of very hot vinegar in the oven and left it , Im hoping that will work
We shall see but it doesn’t seem so strong , either that or I’m getting used to the smell 😁

We went to Tesco instead of Sainsburys,
We seeing Finn on Friday and I didn’t want to get him a egg ,

We bought a Tesco delivery van it makes the engine sounds and beeps then doorbell rings ,
It has little delivery baskets in the side and the headlights flash.
The noises will drive Martin & Clare mad 🤣🤣🤣

I have been to Aqua and enjoyed it. Been on the bikes, so warm!

Oma, GD1 works usually on a Friday afternoon/evening then one day over the weekend, she could work both but her parents said she needs to enjoy her life! She usually does the bakery, she can name all the selection! She does do the desk etc when not doing the baking. She is pleased she got in there when she did. Forgot to mention that if they are short staffed and she is home then she will go for a couple of hours, she has no school this week so could be working more.
