Oma, I can imagine the reaction to your lovely ball gowns! Prom season will start soon, so I bet lots of girls are out looking for their fairy-tale dress at a bargain price. Some cards are really hard to find. Yesterday I was looking for a funny 80th for a life-long (male) friend. Nothing at all, but he'd think I'd lost it if I sent him a sensible or cute one.

Hallo everyone, it is very cold here as well Oma, hail, thunder etc. I have just been to the village and was frozen!

I have actually sold a pair of Doc Maarten boots for the girls, another pair to go! (Never worn)

DS1 phoned, he is on his way to Munich, he said GD1 loves her trench coat, and, if I see one the same for GD2 she would be very grateful!! Not the extra long one though.

Oma, they would be pleased with the ball gowns in the shop.

Gem, I have never heard of dodge ball.

I bought a hub for the Mac, it is really neat and comes with the colour of the Mac, well, I tried to wipe it yesterday and it scratched, I wasn't very pleased, so through where I ordered it I got the address of the firm and sent them a sad mail explaining what I had done, I received a mail from a man this morning and he is posting me a set of new ones, very nice of him, I won't scratch it this time.

Daisy, you must have the same cold wind that we have here.

How nice of him to send new ones .
I must admit I like trench coats I had a cream one for years,
One of the coats I took to the charity this morning was a dark green trench coat that had served me for many a year ,
I think it’s time for a new one.

My DD loves Doc Martin boots , she has just bought a beautiful burgundy pair from a on line vintage shop Brand new still in the box with tags for Β£35 she’s thrilled with them , she only takes a size English 3 . She has about 6 pair that I know of 😁

I have just cleaned the fridge out it’s all sanatised clean and ready for when I go shopping .

Oma, I'm sure the gowns will soon find good new homes.

Lizzie, well done on the replacement.

Well this morning didn't go quite as expected!

I arrived at the library to find the systems all down for a second day, meaning no computers or phones. There was a trolley full of returned books from yesterday and being added to this morning. All needing to be shelved but we couldn't do any of it. You can't tell if they are for the shelves in our branch, for another branch, on on reserve for a customer. We always put everything thought the machine before shelving, so no shelving until the system is back up. Most frustrating .
The librarian was reduced to tidying shelves in the children's library with nothing else she could do. They hadn't phoned me to say don't come in as there was a note to say I wasn't in today! There is another volunteer with the same first name who volunteers on a different day and we presume it was her. I stayed for a chat then left, as there wasn't enough for paid staff let alone a volunteer.
I went went shopping and bought a new toilet brush and holder (to go with the new bathroom floor!) and a couple of other things. I came home, did some dusting and cleaned downstairs loo. If I had known I was free all day until 5 I would probably have done something like go to the cinema.

Just received a mail, my parcel has been delivered!! Strange carry on.

Oma, I have a beige trench coat, it must be 37 years old now I do wear it as well.

Your DD has a very small foot!

Gem, I hope that all is sorted at the library now.

Been to the hearing place, young lady who fitted them, retuned them and explained what the various buttons are for (she didn’t do that before). In the sound proof room they were fine but as soon as I sat in the car and closed the door, they started buzzing. Now I am home and sitting here they are fine. Grrr Grrr. I will see how they go but will go back next week if they are not okay. In the meantime I must get my ears syringed. H had her second day at pre-school, came home with a painting of her mum?

Oma, I bet they were very pleased to have your gifts at the Charity Shop. I hope they found their way onto the rails (sorry to be cynical). I hope B has got rid of his cough at last.

I had a cream trench coat too.

His cough is so much better ,
just when he lays down in bed it starts so propping him up with extra pillows at the minute .

I hope the hearing aids settle down for you .

Is H going in to pre school ok or are there tears at first ?
I bet she was very proud of her painting 😁

Thats what B said about the dresses , he thinks they will be taken by staff if they have teenagers going to prom .

Lizzie, your'e certainly getting plenty of weather to keep you guessing what's next. We've had cold wind, sunshine and hail today. How kind of the man to replace your scratched one. I bet your GD looks very stylish in her trench coat - no wonder her sister wants one as well. What a pity about the Doc Martin boots, though.

Oma, your DD is so petite and pretty - and still looks far more like your GS1's sister than his Mum - so her dainty feet are in keeping with the rest of her.

Gem, what a pity they didn't let you know the systems were down at the library - but if they had a note that you weren't going in, that would explain it. You are living the high life - a new toilet brush! .

Plant, my hearing aids are pretty good, but they do whistle or pick up odd sounds sometimes. Not enough to irritate me, though. It's just feedback I think. I hope yours settle down now. I can imagine H being so proud of her Mummy painting.

I seem to have been busy all day, but not much to show for it. I took Eva out for a longer walk this afternoon, and the paths were much drier. OH rolled the lawn and got rid of some of the lumps and bumps.

Good morning. It's a nice bright morning.

Gem, steady on, new loo brush and holder indeed.

Plant, hope the hearing aids settle down.

Lizzie, very good that they are sending you a replacement.

I've got 2 trench coats, a grey one and a beige one. I do wear them.

DS1 has a day off today, so he's coming for dinner.
I'm going to do a full English.

Aquafit this morning and coffee with my friends. Back massage this afternoon. I have these monthly now and it's worth the money as it helps.

Have a happy hump day as the Americans call it!

Lovely and sunny, no wind. Just been visited by my friendly Robin, asking me for some food to be thrown out. H was very proud of her painting, she was a bit reluctant to go the second morning but was fine. Board games this afternoon, Waitrose delivery this morning. Hope my aids behave today, never had any trouble with my old ones, these have more buttons.

Oma, pleased to hear B is getting better.

Gemini, enjoy your Aquafit and coffee with friends. Is the toilet brush and holder just for show.

Nanto love the flowers, very cheerful. Enjoy your lunch with DS.

Will pop in again later, must get dressed before Waitrose delivery arrives.
