Plant., putting different words into the search box gives you more interesting graphics. Like cat, dog, friends or whatever. Also remembering that it's an American site so trying 'Americanisms' !βA grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.β β Unknown

Just had a heavy shower, but its been mostly dry if windy today.
Nephew has been twice,i think he must have been at a loose end.
Brother in law came about 5ish and stayed for an hour and half.
Not really been a busy day, just a matter of tidying round.
Got the dishwasher cleaned though.Sometimes I forget to like posts, but that doesn't mean I don't like them.

Good morning.
Looking bright out there.
Expecting a few visitors today, its hubby's 75th birthday today.
Not doing anything special today. Going for a meal later in the week when other people can make it.
Granddaughter 1 was going to come yesterday, but they have all got a sickness bug, so she's sending her present with her sister.
Plant, well done with the graphic.
Not sure yet what is on the menu, but we finish with the rest of the rhubarb pie and custard from yesterday.Last edited by Nanto2girls; 17-07-2023, 05:27 AM.Sometimes I forget to like posts, but that doesn't mean I don't like them.

Good Monday morning, everyone. The weather's looking ok here as well, Nanto, but I was shocked to notice this morning that the leaves of the horse chestnut tree outside our house are already turning brown!
Very happy 75th birthday to your OH. I hope he has a lovely day.
We're off to DS1's for the day - OH is helping DS1 with the next stage of a garden project he's doing. I'm struggling to do anything at the moment. I've hurt my right arm and it's very painful. It's just muscular - no bones broken - but so painful I can't use it.. I cut the lawn yesterday which made it worse.

Good morning all.
Happy birthday to your OH Nan2. Poor GD2, those sickness bugs are miserable.
Oh Daisy do protect that poorly arm
You got it with the graphic Plant.
GS1 did very well in his play last night and enjoyed it. They all did well but a lot of them where overawed by the size of the stage and accoustics. An awful lot of the dialogue was inaudible! The audience was made up of families of the actors though, do no one would have minded. I sat between DD and SIL and that went fine.
Aquafit this morning, and a meal out with friends ( the ones I worked with) tonight.βA grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.β β Unknown

Morning Ladies
Happy Birthday to your OH Nanto xx
Daisy
Dont do anything today to make your arm worse , how did you hurt it ?
Is it the hand you hold Evaβs lead in , that will be awkward if it is .
B just being dropped off as I speak by SIL , he had to have the car in garage by 8.30 some computer update needed so SIL followed him down to bring him back .
Been out to sweep the drive and we have a small path at both sides ,
notices two pavings have cracked , we will have to replace them but they have been down a long time so we wonβt get a colour match , But as B said they will weather in no time .
GS coming to be fed ,one week on holiday and heβs missed us π
Apart from that nothing planned x
Gem our post crossed ,
Im sure parents didnβt mind as you say , very diplomatic sitting between DD & SIL πIm not fat just 6ft too small

Daisy, try and rest that arm, how did you do it?
Oma, I am sure he has missed you and your meals.
Gemini, awkward situation dealt with the seating watching GS and his friends. Pleased the play went off okay. Enjoy your meal out this evening.
Nanto, although I am getting the hang of the graphics, I donβt know how you manage to find the large ones with appropriate words.
GD1 has just been in to ask if I had some elastic for a mask for H, of course GM has everything. H has gone off to frighten GP. Yesterday DD and sil cooked for 3 of their children and partners and all 3 of their GC . I went in later to watch the tennis. What a match!. GD1 likes to involve everyone in her imaginary games, GS2 was the favourite, he was put to sleep on the settee but drew the line at a dummy in his mouth. What is life if full of care we have no time to stand and stare

Plant, in the search box i just type the word for what i want. Some graphics are bigger than others.
I typed in your name and got this one. There are several others though.
Hubby says thank you for the birthday wishes.
Its been a strange day today. Visitors coming and going.
Knowing people would be coming, i settled for an easy dinner.
I had frozen half of the colcannon mash i got from M&S last week.
took it out of the freezer this morning. put in the microwave and some beans, and cooked bacon in the air fryer.Sometimes I forget to like posts, but that doesn't mean I don't like them.

Good Tuesday morning, everyone.
The weather looks ok at the moment, but there are some interesting clouds around.
Nanto, I think you'll be ready for a quieter day today after yesterday's birthday celebrations. That's a very chilled-looking kitty!
Plant, your DD and SIL are very hospitable - they always seem to be busy. I bet your GGCs had a wonderful time. It isn't always easy to tell how big a graphics picture is going to be!
Oma, I'm sure you are as glad to have GS1 back home as he is to be home. He will miss you when he's at Uni. I hope B's car is ok. My DIL1's father had a problem with a battery and he couldn't get into it at all. The garage said it was because he doesn't use it enough! B's right - it's surprising how quickly new paving slabs blend in.
Gem, I'm sure all the parents enjoyed their youngsters' performance, even if they were a little quiet. A good plan to sit between GS1's mum and dad, and very good for GS1 that they were both there.
I still haven't sorted out Glamm's access to the forum, but I'll try a different way today.
We had a nice day with DS1 and DIL yesterday. It was warm enough to sit in the garden, and OH and DS1 had a boys' outing to B&Q! They've sorted out what they need to do for the garden project, so DS can order timber etc and get it delivered. DIL and I had a chance for a good chat, and her Mum called round to say 'hello' as well.

I think I've pulled a muscle in my upper arm. I've done it before (some people never learn) and it's painful enough to keep me awake at night! I'm trying to rest it as much as possible, plus ice packs which seem to help, but it's surprising how many tiny jobs need two hands! Oma, I had to smile about your comment about walking Eva. She isn't well disciplined on the lead and walks whichever side has the best sniffing places! But at least she doesn't pull like she used to!
So, I'm planning a quiet day today. OH has got to have a wisdom tooth out this morning, so I don't suppose he will feel like doing much this afternoon. A right pair of crocks, we'll be!

Poor J I know how that is , if you remember I had to have dental surgery in January to get mine out ,
Your poor arm , you will need care assistances coming in to look after you both soon if your not careful πππ
Its overcast and we have had a few drops of rain ,
Went to Iceland this morning , GS coming again for lunch wants chicken nuggets and chips with peppercorn sauce ,
typical I had no chicken nuggets in.
As we were leaving the house our elderly neighbours were leaving to walk over to our shopping centre .
Its only a 5 minute walk but she is in agony with her hip and knee so we took them there first before we went to Iceland .
She was a Ballet dancer for many years even when she had her children but now her feet and joints are shot , on top of that is her age and Specialist donβt seem in any hurry to help her , she now has one leg a couple inches shorter at the moment because of her age they only offering a built up shoe to balance her out to try to relieve the pain .
Its shocking but happening all to frequent to people these days .Im not fat just 6ft too small
