Gem, was the final good? I can't watch Dancing on Ice - I'm on the edge of my seat all the time in case they fall badly and hurt themselves!

Oma, I think I've asked before about potato bread, then forgot to try it. This time I will have a go.

Mimi, is hubby likely to choose an eye-catching colour oris he a 'natural fence colour' sort of chap? I'm glad to hear you're taking it easy.

Well, the weather put paid to any thoughts of gardening today! It rained all afternoon, and came down extra hard when I took Eva out for walkies. It was very quiet - we only saw Barky Dog today!

I did gammon with jacket potatoes and vegetables for dinner - nice and easy, and enough meat left for tomorrow. Opticians first thing in the morning, so I'll pop in here later.

    Sleep well everyone. x

Daisy it was very good. We have been to see the live tour twice. Even more nail biting!!

Dog walkers can't escape the rain can you?! Hopefully it will be fine tomorrow.

        Good morning everyone.

Very windy here. I hate the wind when the trees are in blossom.

No plans today. After a busy weekend that is no bad thing. I know OH wants to go clothes shopping at some point, so that may be today.

Have a good day and week ladies.

Sunny atm don’t know if it will last. I am going to spend the day with GD1 and H, we will probably go to a soft play centre, she loves it. Dog a bit better so the pressure is off atm GD2 is still here, she will be going home to South London later today. I was going to clean the bathrooms but a day with GD and H won. I will pop back later as I have to get myself sorted.

Plant, a day with GD and little H would definitely win over housework for me.

Hallo everyone, very windy here, 11 degrees though, I almost got blown away on the roundabout this morning, I know it is windy there so usually go another way, I didn't think about that this morning.

It must be awful to be completely deaf Oma like your neighbour, I hope that there is something that can be done.

Gem, enjoy the shopping,, if you don't get blown away. I sorted wardrobes out yesterday, yet again. I must say they are tidier now.

My old neighbour has just been, they lived here when we moved in 45 years ago!! He is 83 years old, it was his birthday on Saturday. He lost his wife 7 years ago, he was telling me about it all, sad. I see him when I go to the training on Wednesday, he goes twice a week then he and his friends have coffee and lunch together. He also still plays tennis, he does a lot for the tennis club as well, keeps himself occupied.

The other (ex) friend spoke to me this morning, apologised for not speaking etc. He told me he has cancer of the lungs with it spreading to his bones, he has to go to the hospital tomorrow to see if there is anything that can be done for him. I have thought for a while that he looked ill. It is his wife with cancer of the pancreas, that is going fine, it is 6 years ago that she had the operation and one of the longest living in Holland with cancer of the pancreas. She goes for a scan every 3 months.

                  Cheerful today.

We are going to the pool in the car as I don't fancy being blown away.

Plant, enjoy the play centre, I used to take the GC when I looked after them.

They still sell it Gem. I bought some a couple of weeks ago. We like it with mashed potatoes.

Lizzie, sad about your ex friend.

hers is in the freezer till Thursday 😁

So sad , both my Father and Sister died of Lung cancer , my father was 50 and my sister 52
His wife is doing remarkably, I always say each day the medical world comes up with something new so never give up hope xx

Good Monday afternoon everyone. We've got hazy sun and a howling wind here! But it's 11C and feels ok. We've had to put bricks on the dustbin lids to stop them taking flight, though!

We were out early to go to the opticians, so I took Eva for a walk first so she'd settle down and sleep while we were out. Then we went to see DIL2 in the shop (DS was working from home). We had a cup of tea with her and a chat, between customers. She is a talented artist and has recently started 'pouring' acrylics. She's put some up in the shop to sell and they looked lovely. It was great to see them on display.

We're both feeling lazy this afternoon - definitely a go with the flow time!

Oma, my DS2 grew turnips last year - his first season of growing veggies - and they were really tasty. I should think they're good with mashed potatoes as well, Nanto.

Lizzie, it was sensible to use the car rather than take risks on your bike in this weather. How awful for your friends both suffering from cancer. Your elderly ex neighbour is doing well to keep himself busy. Long may it continue for him.

Oma, I hope your neighbour's hearing comes back. It must be a shock for her. Hopefully new hearing aids might help. I'm sure GS1 will enjoy his meal! He's such a lucky lad! x

Plant, I hope you're having a lovely day with GD1 and H. She does love the soft play, doesn't she! Pleased to hear the dog is feeling better.

Gem, I should think you're quite happy to have a free day after so much going on at the week-end. Has S got a long list for clothes shopping?

Nanto, a lovely graphic. It makes me think of a rather smart but also welcoming cafe with everything done "proper".

Weatherwise,we have had sun, rain and hail, with constant wind.Colder than it was yesterday.

Hubby went to the clinic this afternoon for his MOT.
I went to the Co-op across the road. I wanted a Black Magic Easter egg.
Couldn't see any Easter eggs at all,so i asked if they had any. I was told its too early for them yet.
All the supermarkets and other shops have them in now.
Asda are doing 4 for £10,and i bought 4, but they didn't have any Black magic ones.

Well the shopping was not a success.
I was suffering with sciatica this morning, then when getting into the car felt a terrible sciatic nerve pain which actually radiated round to my groin.
I managed to get into the car then out again and walk from the car park into M&S holding OH's arm. She couldn't find any jeans she wanted so was fed up with that, and I was struggling to walk much so we aborted the whole trip and came home. We had planed to have lunch out Hopefully we will have a successful trip another day. It's wet and miserable so we are content to have an afternoon in.
