Good morning everyone.
Oma it sounds as though your MIL has got over her spell of reasonable behaviour. I can imagine you must both dread going.
Well done on meeting the doorbell challenge Daisy!
That's a pretty graphic Nan2.
Reflexology for me this morning and school runs this afternoon. I am on the last cd of a gripping audio book. It has made driving around very pleasurable over the last 2 or 3 weeks.“A grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.” – Unknown

Oma, what is wrong with that woman, your Mil? Surely she realises that your visits last longer when she is pleasant. I wonder what she will say when she sees your new car.
Gemin, you sound as if your life is getting back to normal. I am sure S enjoyed getting on the golf course again.
Nanto love the graphic. Simple dinner for you today
Daisy, I hope your Broadband is behaving itself.
I am going down to GD’s flat to keep her company as she is resting her leg and H still has spots.Last edited by Plantaholic; 03-03-2023, 09:37 AM.What is life if full of care we have no time to stand and stare

Good Morning ladies what a busy week we have all had.
Love the new car Oma very posh indeed.
Plant I don't use my oven very much now prefer my air fryer which DS1 treated me to it saves on time and energy,I am going to try some recipes for cakes during the week-end its not the bigger doubled drawer one that DD has but it will take a medium chicken & veg just big enough for my tastes.
The children have been excited this week with World Book day and the mummies have worked so hard with their costumes even the new baby was treated to a little outfit for when he went to mum & baby group at the nursery with his brother.
Emily the rescued bulldog has certainly made herself at home we go out twice a day and she certainly does not rush anywhere fast she just plods along slowly,I can't understand how people can be so cruel to them her "undercarriage" is slowly returning back to normal after being so badly treated having litter after litter, she is just now lazing in the sun by the sofa gently snoring .
I have my concerns about Jim next door he doesn't want any meals cooking anymore as he has no appetite to speak of his niece & carers are just serving him light snacks and sometime he not even eating them he certainly does not want to go into respite care its such a shame.
Off now to shops for a little browse I need some fresh flowers for my kitchen and maybe a couple of pots of bedding plants for front garden tubs,so will catch up later xx GlammaKeep Calm,You're Fabulous

I had a relaxing reflexology session and catch up with my reflexologist.
I feel nice and relaxed now!
I'm sure your GD will be glad to see you Plant .
It can be difficult to get older people to eat, Glamma. Getting my mum to eat much is always a challenge for the care home staff
Emily has found a good home with you.
Oma, this is the audio book (on loan from the library) . It's fascinating. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Second-Chil.../dp/1786493357“A grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.” – Unknown

Hello everyone - a bit too late to say 'good morning'! I don't know where this morning has gone.
Nanto - you chose the perfect graphic - it is a beautiful morning. Sunny and warmer than recently, and lots more flowers peeping out in the garden. I'd love to do some gardening today, but need to bake for the week-end.
Plant, I'm sure your GD will be very pleased to have your company, and some help with little H. Chicken pox spots can take a while to fade, can't they.
Glamm, poor Jim. It sounds as though he does need extra care, but nobody can make him eat. You've been so good to him, you must feel sad that he's not eating. It makes me very angry when I hear about these awful puppy farms - I really can't understand why it seems so hard to close them down, but I suppose that takes time, money and the will of the authorities to do it. Emily sounds delightful and is probably just so relieved and happy to be in a good, comfortable home being well cared for. I saw the photo on fB of your little ones in their World Book Day outfits. They looked amazing. My GD2 went as Matilda. As always she was really excited having a 'special' day.
Gem, it must be a bit of a relief you with life getting back to normal. Enjoy your reflexology. I used to like having audio books on CD in the car. There's no CD player in this one, though, and I haven't got into setting up audio books through my phone.
Oma, I don't know why things have to be so difficult either! I still haven't had time to reconnect Ring on my own phone, and have only just changed the Wi-Fi on it. I'll get round to it soon, I hope. By the way - I did J's phone purely by luck. I have no idea how I did it!! Is your kitchen back to normal now?

Hallo everyone, late today, very busy!
Glamm, you must feel like you would like to help your neighbour, it seems like he is giving up on life. You will get as much pleasure out of Emily as she gets from you!
Daisy, it is a good thing that you can get everything working yourselves, good for your brain as well!!
Plant, you keep active visiting your GD! I have just helped a lady out of the flat, she was always active but now has something in her hip, maybe a tendon she mentioned, she is having treatment but it is very painful walking, someone brought her home, she had been playing whist , I gave her my arm and helped her walk then took her to her front door, that is the good deed of the day!!!
I went to pick GD2 up at 9am, I was going to do the coffee for the art group, the man had said she was welcome, she sent me a message to ask what time!!! I told her if she could be ready in 10 minutes I would go and pick her up so I did. She loves drawing etc, she was telling me that all she has made in the art class at school has been put on show for the open days. The schools have open days here so that children can make a choice of which school they want to attend. We arrived in time for the class, she had a look first to see what the ladies were doing then when one asked if she wanted to sit next to her and paint what she was doing she decided she would. She really enjoyed it, got the drawing done and most of the painting then the lady said she could take the paint etc home with her to finish it off then I will take it all back next week! We came back here, after lunch she finished it off then I took her back home. One proud girl (and Nan)!!

Lizzie, I love your GD's painting, and she looks as though she's enjoying it. How kind of the lady to help her.
Oma, I'm not at all sure you should be kneeling on the floor and painting the skirting boards after your forward roll the other day. Please take care!
Nanto, isn't it nice to get the grass cut at this time of year!
I spent the afternoon baking - some for DIL1's birthday which we're celebrating tomorrow afternoon, and some for our own cake tin. I've only jut got back from walking Eva, but ready for bed now!

Good morning.Chilly but dry.
I've just put a load of towels in to wash, again.
Just supermarket shopping today. Hubby wants to alter some of the fencing today.
Apparently our new neighbours are moving in today across the road.
They are moving to here from Salisbury.
The old ones moved out yesterday, but they have only moved a couple of hundred yards away.
According to the weather forecast, there is some very cold wintry weather on the way.
Hubby has asked for a chicken tikka today, so that will be a ready meal.
I'm having some mash and sausage, leftovers that i froze.Sometimes I forget to like posts, but that doesn't mean I don't like them.
