That’s a good idea we will do that next week even if it’s only a couple of those very small bottles .

Enfys, I'm glad the visit to the doctors went well, and hope you've enjoyed a nice easy day. What a pity your family history group is reduced because of the room size. Perhaps they'll eventually be able to give you your original space back. Your poor friend, she must be in pain and well as suffering from shock. It's lucky her daughter is able to look after her, because she must be feeling really low, and if you can't move around because of pain it's easy to get cold this weather.

Oma, what a good idea of Gem's to hide some milk in your MIL's freezer. I hope you don't get snowed in! Glad it was ony the battery and nothing more serious.

Lizzie, the new class sounds fun as well as being good exercise. How is your GD managing on the crutches in this icy weather?

Gem, it must be so hard when your Mum keeps asking about going home with you, but hopefully she had a bit of a sleep after you'd left. The tree/light sounds very pretty.

OH's car passed it's MOT - just an advisory for the bushes on the nearside front suspension before the next MOT - I don't for one minute suppose that's got anything to do with the appalling state of the edges of our local roads! I did a bit of housework (not much). I really find it hard to get motivated in this cold weather, although I have just spent about a quarter of an hour playing tug with Eva - out in the garden. I blame the Labrador in her - this cold weather makes her quite giddy!

        Good morning all

Oma How's your back . I notice that you are managing to get around one way or another, I know it's best to keep moving but take care not to put too much strain on the muscles, be mindful in what you are doing.

Gem your mum's tree lamp sounds lovely.

Glamm your poor DD . I hope she isn't in too much pain .

Enfys good to hear that the drs appointment went well but jot so good for your poor friend, a fractured shoulder sounds painful.
We have got bulbs peeping through the soil here also , it's lovely to see something cheerful in this horrible cold weather.

It's been a busy week, podiatrist and the dentist all done and thankfully both appointments were paid for before Christmas so no nasty shocks there. OH went to Birmingham hospital for his usual appointment so that's done for a few months now.
We have arranged for a painter to come and paint our kitchen ceiling It needed some attention to it when we moved in but we kept putting it off . Unfortunately he can't come until March as he is so busy. Well, that's fine, I'd rather have it done when the weather is warmer .
Yesterday I phoned our broadband provider as our contract is coming to an end to see if I could get a better deal. At the moment our broadband isn't the fastest because when we moved here fibre broadband wasn't available but since then it's been upgraded, we just haven't been connected to it
I was surprised to find that my call was answered immediately no waiting in a queue.
I was told that I had picked the right day to call as for one day only they were offering special deals for their loyal customers (rolls eyes, I have heard all this mush before) and I could have their fastest, all singing, all dancing with all the bells and whistles that is far better than any other provider fibre broadband for a bargain price. And, if I care to hold the line, he would go and speak to his manager to discuss an even better deal because I an such a special customer.
By now I had rolled my eyes so many times with all his sales patter I swear that at one stage I had to pick them up off the carpet but if it means I get a better deal that's fine by me
Anyway eventually I got the the fastest broadband available with a reduction in price and £10 off BT sports. We have an appointment for it to be installed in February.

Tesco grocery delivery this morning and then a stroll to the chemist to pick up my repeat prescription

        Keep warm everyone
Bring me sunshine in your smile.

Good morning Mimi and all who follow.

Cold again.I heard it would be warmer today, but our part of Yorkshire doesn't seem to have been told.

That was a good deal you got Mimi.
Hubby always rings when ours is due to run out. Get all the sales patter, but always get a reduction.

Oma,glad it wasn't anything worse than the battery.

Daisy, i agree, they are very clever at creating the graphics.

Jacket potatoes for dinner today. Will mix some sweetcorn in the tuna mayo, will probably have some cheese with it as well.
Sometimes I forget to like posts, but that doesn't mean I don't like them.

            Good morning my dears.

Nan2, my part of Yorkshire hasn't had the notification of warmer weather either. Very hard frost here.

Mimi, these people think we are all taken in by their 'special customer' treatment don't they? As you say if you get the deal you want in the end its worth putting up with the nonsense!

Daisy my car had an advisory for those brush things too! I had to ask OH what they were.

Today my task is to try to find a family villa for the summer holidays. A really nice one, affordable, with sufficient bedrooms and bathrooms for 7 adults, 1 teenager, 2 boys and a baby!
We had one in mind but all the August days booked whilst we were deciding and the available week at the end of July is only for 6 nights. I am free today so have offered to search.

No school pick ups today. DD2 has been away all week so wants to pick them up, and they will be here tomorrow for a sleepover.

            Keep warm everyone.

last time we bought a leather sofa we went in and picked one and the young man on the shop floor started all his talk about cleaning kits etc , I put my hand up and informed him I had been buying leather sofas since before he was born and I didn’t want his sales patter , B said he looked very deflated as it was obvious he wasn’t getting commission selling it tome 🤣🤣🤣

              Nanto
We have just been talking about Jacket potatoes , wondering what to prepare for tea and B suggested Jackets so great minds think alike , he will have cheese with his I will have beans .

Feel loads better today , back is a bit sore but 1000 times better than it was and one of my stitches fell out last night so mouth well on the way to normality.

Sunny and frosty here, lovely day for a walk, across the fields, I wish. I want to clean my windows when the sun is off them. H is here today so hope to see her.

Oma, pleased to hear your back is getting better, can’t keep a good woman down for long but just take it easy. I wouldn’t know what bushes are on a car.

Gemini, some task you have to find a good villa for all the family. Pleased to hear your mum liked her lamp.

Nanto I love your graphics, where do you find them?

Good morning everyone. Sunny and frosty here.

I"ll be back in a mo - just letting Cooper out! It sounds urgent.

Good morning, it was like an ice rink here this morning, in fact, it still is on the footpaths. I "skated " to the gym, almost came home but carried on. I have just been to do the coffee etc and walked home on the road. I messaged DIL early to tell her it was icy as she would be taking GD1 to school, maybe GD2 would go with them, I just received a message thanking me and that all went well.

Gem, I hope you can find a villa, I wouldn't know where to start.

Daisy, I was promoting that "movement" lesson at the art class this morning, one of the ladies is interested.

Mimi, you did well with your internet connection, what would we do without it????? The friend that was here the other day is my age, well, I am 3 days older, she has all the forms etc to fill in for her license, she was saying where would we be without all the "on-line' forms etc.

Oma, I have no idea what bushes are on a car, something to do with the brakes?? Pleased your back is improving.

Nanto, your meals always make me feel hungry!

Haha, it was urgent for Cooper - there was a pigeon on the patio! He stands perfectly still watching them, and as soon as they start to fly away he half-heartedly chases them.

The sun's shining and I had a lovely drive over the Forest this morning to collect Cooper. Everywhere was frosty and sparkling in the sun. The roads were mostly ok and traffic was going very slowly.

Mimi, you must have worked some kind of magic to get your upgraded broadband sorted out so quickly. We are clearly not special customers as the provider has had 3 failed attempts to send the information to Open Reach so they can do the connection from the pavement to our house. We're waiting to hear if the 4th one has got through their chaos.

Oma, I can imagine that poor lad's face when you explained about cleaning leather sofas!! I'm glad to hear your back is getting better, but I hope B is making sure you don't start scrubbing the skirting boards! Take care. I'm sure you must have been delighted when that stitch dropped out. How many more to go? You'll feel even better after having your hair cut. I've got two graphics of Yetis on my car - perhaps I should have your photo as well.

Gem, where are you thinking about for your villa holiday? I do hope you find the perfect place to meet everybody's needs. I suppose school summer holidays get booked up very quickly.

This sunshine is showing up all the dust in the living room. I think I'll have to get busy with the fluffy yellow thingy and my new hoover!

Been a very bad accident between 2 cars just over a mile away from us.
Hubby and DS1 were going that way,and had to wait ages before they got through.
DS1 said it looks bad.Haven't anymore yet.

We enjoyed our jacket potatoes, then we had rhubabrb crumble and custard for afters.

Nan2, how horrible I hope the casualties will be OK.

Oma, no overdoing it since your back is a bit better!

Daisy, Spain or Majorca. I think I have persuaded them Majorca is the better bet. Less mosquitos than mainland Spain and slightly cooler as its an island. Myself, 2 of my DDs and my GD are mozzie magnets!

Good grief I am going goggle eyed looking at villas!!! We have very short short list now.

You will be goggle eyed Gem! I hope you can decide on one. One of the men from the gym has just been to see his old neighbours villa on Corfu, apparently they moved there a few years ago and have now bought a villa to rent out. The man lost his wife last year, very young, they were going to do the same on Ibiza when she became ill. He did enjoy the holiday he said and is doing his best to come to the gym again twice a week.

Well, I have my wellies!!! I ordered 2 pair, one pair came the other day and I liked them but I wanted to see what the second ones would be like before I wore these, which I could have done with this morning! The others came this afternoon and I have decided on the first pair. They arrived in such a huge box, it won't fit on my bike so they are being picked up on Monday morning, I don't usually do that but this is handy.

It must have been a bad accident Nanto, DS1 was in Blackpool this afternoon so I hope he travels safely back to Leeds, he flies home tomorrow morning.
