Plant, that was lovely to accidentally meet WeeGranny.
Sad that you won't be playing bowls anymore.

Told hubby no more going up ladders.
But, if anything needs to be done,he likes to do it himself.

Plant, I'm so sorry you have have to give up your bowls - you always enjoyed it, especially outdoors. Would you go and watch and perhaps go for tea/coffee and a chat afterwards? I'm sure your bowling friends won't want to lose your company.

Plant and WeeGranny, I bet you both enjoyed your 'little' chat. xx

Nanto, my OH still climbs ladders, and it worries me. He'll be 77 next week, but I always try to make sure I'm there adding ballast to the bottom rung. Like your hubby, he likes to do things for himself. At least he wouldn't go up on the roof these days!

I've had a bit of a day off today. Out for coffee this morning, and then after lunch I took Eva for a lovely long walk in the Forest. It was much warmer than I expected, and not as windy either. Came back and cooked roast chicken with roast vegetables, cauliflower etc, with strawberries and ice cream afterwards.

OH has finished decorating his playroom and it looks so much nicer. I can't wait to get the carpets down and get everything tidied up.

Bumping into WG certainly cheered me up, I also fed the ducks and little ones from the nursery school who were out for a little walk and to see the ducks enjoyed watching them gobbling up the food

                Good morning all.

Oma, which vaccine did you have? I was saying to our friends over the weekend that I knew people whom hadn't had side effects (everyone they knew had) They said it depended which vaccine you had.

Nan2, we also had chicken casserole yesterday! Big coincidence as I had no idea what OH was cooking

GS1 school run today, and back here as usual. I will go shopping first for GDs birthday present and a couple of other cards.
My turn to cook but I will defrost a shepherds pie I made a week or two ago, so just gravy and veg to prepare tonight. GS can't have that as he is vegetarian but we generally eat after he's gone. He is very easy to feed, loving pizza or tortellini

Good Tuesday morning. The weather hasn't made its mind up yet. I want to wash a duvet but it's cloudy and the local forecast keeps changing.

Gem, it's nice to have an easy meal night and getting something out of the freezer is the best! Enjoy your afternoon with GS1. Will your GD be 13 this birthday?

Same for you Nanto, an easy meal.

Oma, I'm glad you haven't had any side effects of the jab. I've heard some horror stories of how ill people have been after it.

Another day of trying to get the ironing done for me and perhaps some gardening if it stays dry.

                    it was theModerna jab ,
not even a sore arm , I did have a headache on the afternoon but I hadn’t slept well the night before so I knew it was tiredness.

The Flu jab has left my arm stiff and sore and so is Bs but I think everyone has that with the flu jab .

Are you all set for tomorrow ?
I bet you can’t wait to get sorted again but it’s all the lifting and placing again isn’t it,
Beworth all that effort though 😁

                    Nanto
You can’t go wrong with a casserole can you , tasty and filling and a one pot meal.
We had Chilli last night but to be honest I didn’t enjoy it, I wasn’t in the mood for chilli.

GS for his tea today he wants Cheesy lasagna 😁

Forgot to ask Gem how is your mouth today ?

My father would have been 101 today 😊

My Jab was a Moderna too Gemini, just a sore arm. Flu jab in the other arm, all done now. I hope your dry socket doesn’t give you pain.

Oma, Cheesy Lasagna sounds yummy, what is his favourite meal?

Nanto must get some chicken thighs to make a casserole.

Daisy, carpet fitting getting nearer then you can sit back and admire your work.

My head feels like cotton wool today, couldn’t settle to sleep, shoulders painful and spots itching. Had to get up and find some cream to calm the itching spots and sort the pillows out to stop the pain in my shoulders. Finished the tablets for my spots, no change there, I have a doctors appt on Thurs. Going down to GD’s, I am sure H will cheer me up.

It was a lovely surprise at the cafe yesterday when I realised Plant was behind me! Only problem was, she's spotted that I'd bought a slice of carrot cake!! We had a lovely chat and watched the worst bit of parking I've seen in a long time! It caused quite a conversation and a laugh with the people at the next table. I hope the cafe owner will move his tables indoors otherwise it'll soon be too cold to sit outside.

This morning I've been to my first exercise class in a very long time, I'm sure I'll pay for it tomorrow! During lockdown, I did her classes on Zoom, but as she lives in this area, I thought i'd go face-to-face. i did enjoy it and had a lovely chat with her afterwards and caught up with her family news. No gym bunnies there, only ladies of a certain age!!!

Hung the towels out, but I'm not sure if they'll dry very much. It was damp earlier on, but it's brightening up a bit now. They may need a quick blast in the tumble drier when I bring them in. Got to make up the spare bed and put the ironing away this afternoon, but I've got several phone calls to make this afternoon as well. We'll see how it all goes.

My next door neighbour's GD was 7 last week and I dropped in a little present for her. She brought me round a slice of birthday cake and two drumstick lollies...remember them ? I'm not sure my teeth will be able to cope with them now! Maybe I'll just have to suck and not chew!

Plant, hope you're feeling better and less itchy and sore today!

Enjoy the rest of the day ladies xx

Hallo, a lovely warm day here again, how I would have liked to have been out on the bike!!!! Instead, I have had a walk.

I am going out for lunch tomorrow with friends from the pool so that will be a change for me.

Gem, I hope your mouth is better now, our new dental clinic opened yesterday, just up the road from here, our dentist, we have been going to him since 1983 has sold his practise and now it is a clinic in the new building, he will still be working there a few days a week and his daughter is a dentist there as well.

I do remember the drum stick lollies WG, 2 colours?? You would enjoy meeting Plant in the cafe.

Oma, you will be busy with the cheesy lasagna.

Daisy, if the weather is like it is here you will be busy in the garden.

I got the pattern paper whilst I was out. I will get it done one day, too nice at the moment, I keep going outside to sit in the sun.

I haven't heard anything about the flu jab yet, usually November.

He likes anything with cheese on , but he is partial to Crispy Duck ,or Ribeye steak with peppercorn sauce
Also anything he can have thick gravy on, must be thick enough to stand a spoon up in.
He prefers my gravy to even grandads 😁
You need to put cream on tonight before bed so you can have some sleep, it must drive you mad itching all the time xx

                            Lizzie
Make the most of the sun it will soon go and you will have plenty of time to do the pattern then.

                            WG
I don’t think I could eat them lollies now either,
We bought toffee apples last week and I had to chop mine into bits, they were too hard to bite into 😁

Drumstick lollies, are they the toffee ones? Definitely not for me too many fillings.

Lizzie, we have to make the use of the sun, I quite like the winter sun too. Time enough for you to be indoors sewing.

Feeling more cheerful now, spent late morning and afternoon with GD1 and H, We had lunch in Marlow and then went to see Harriet’s GGM, she is in a home now as her DD is so ill. H was on good form and kept her entertained, she was very pleased to see us.

Yesterday at the cafe on the green, we have to sit outside since Covid and it is almost next to the First School and some of the children passing were giving GG a shy smile. I hadn’t realised it was our local school she was helping with reading.

Ooh I loved the drumstick lollies WG, no good for the teeth though!

Oma, tooth is sore and I'm still taking regular ibuprofen. There is some of the paste still in. I will wait until tomorrow and if the pain is still bad I will phone for another emergency appointment to have it redressed.
It sounds as though you are the gravy queen!

Plant, what is the problem with your shoulders? I wonder if you need good massage or to see an osteopath?

Did any ironing or gardening get done Daisy?

Lunch with friends will be a nice change for you Lizzie.

It is raining now but GS and I got in before the rain. His main topic of conversation these days is his birthday! (October 21st)
I didn't feel like shopping today, so just nipped into a shop near GS's school for some more ibuprofen. The rest can wait until tomorrow or Thursday.
