Did you get any cards written Daisy? That reminds me I have to address the ones for the post. Stamps are coming in tomorrow's Tesco delivery, so I can post them on Wednesday.

Two out of three trees up
We we have small prelit one for the front doorstep but I don't count that one. Just the white twig tree for the hallway to do. It takes only a few minutes, I will do it later.

We still have the lights around the porch to put up but leaving that till after Wednesday when they are coming to put the car charger in and have to go over the porch roof .

GS just gone home , came for tea and get his pocket money , it helps with his petrol .

Well I got a lot done today.
We went to Lidi this morning on the bus taking advantage of our bus passes. The bus picks up just down the road from us, stops outside Lidi and on we only have to cross the road to get another bus back. Its so convenient.
We were able to buy 3 mini Christmas trees to put on the graves next week. Although that's all I planned buying we also came out with some chocolate, Kitchen roll, spreadable butter and some crackers ( for cheese)
For lunch we had some left over beef stew, and fortunately/ unfortunately, which ever way you look at it , there is plenty left over for tomorrow. I'm firmly in the unfortunately camp as I am sick of stew at the moment.
After lunch I posted some more Christmas cards and when I got back in I cut / shaved OH hair , washed the kitchen floor and the put lights on the two small trees outside either side of the front door. They are now looking very festive
I think I have done enough for today.

Oh and yes I did tweak the tree , a few times in fact .

Mimi, I think you are Star Busy Bees here today. Still, it's very satisfying when you get a lot of different jobs done like that. I hope you're relaxing now.

Plant, my car sometimes comes up with a tyre warning message and it's usually (always, so far) just been a computer glitch in the car, and there's nothing wrong with the tyres. But still good to get it checked out.

Oma, it's not just Eva's paws and muddy undercarriage, it's the towels she sits on in the back of the car! I don't like leaving them damp in the car, so bring them in and wash them. How is Storm getting on? I bet your GS feels a lot of his money goes into his car's petrol tank! My GS1 says the same.

Nanto, it helps if you can get a decent night's sleep, doesn't it. Still, I hope your cough is soon better.

Gem and others, I'm so impressed by all these multiple Christmas trees. They do look lovely but for the last couple of years we've only put our main one up. We will get our decorations up before Christmas, but I want to finish the cards and get some shopping done.

Mimi, what a convenient bus service for a trip to Lidl's . Extra chocolate I understand, but buying kitchen roll, spreadable butter, and crackers - well that's really living the high life! Substitute rice pudding for a stew, and I feel the same! Last night I made a 2-pint rice pudding because I had a lot of milk in. Looking at it today - it's an awful lot of rice pudding for two people!

I got just over half the Christmas cards written this morning, between giving OH tech support to download photos for some eBay stuff. Microsoft seem to keep changing their software on a whim and it drives OH mad. After lunch I took Eva out for a good long walk. I let her off lead when there was no-one else around, and she disappeared! I called, and called her, but she'd gone into a wooded area by the river and I think she couldn't find me and panicked. Eventually I saw her racing past but quite a long way off, but she did a sharp turn and came tearing back to me. I was so relieved. When we got home and I sat down she jumped up on my lap and nuzzled in to me really hard and fell asleep, exhausted.

OH is out this evening, so I'll get a few more cards written.

Im off to Dental Hospital for 9 to see if they are going to finally take this root out that my Dentist couldn’t do back in July .
Ive been living with a packing in since then , luckily it hadn’t hurt but the gum is healing over the packing ,

I am feeling a lot better today, I usually have a sore nose and a cold sore, thanks to my friend next door and her honey cream, none of that.

I want to get a list made of what I need to cook on Boxing Day, there will be 7 of us for the meal.

The sun is poking through the clouds so it could be a nice day.

I am going to get myself dressed, not like me at all.

Lizzie, good to hear you are getting better. So many at OH's golf club are down with bad colds.

I am going out to lunch with a friend today (our mutual friend, Lizzie) As I missed her 50th birthday in February I think lunch better be my treat! We were to meet in summer, but with my illness etc, it got delayed.
I will go by bus which means collecting GS1 from school and bringing him here by bus. I must find out what a child fare is, I just tap my bus pass!

OH has a hospital appointment this afternoon. It's not till 4 o'clock and it always takes him longer to recover when it's late in the day.

I need to get some washing on, and walk Eva. I'd better get a move on.

Well Im back , took X-rays and had a look and has decided maybe need to remove a small bit of jaw depending how hard the root is to get out ,
So he suggested we leave it to 10th January so as not to spoil my Christmas , He said it will be swollen and painful as they have to cut the Gum fold the flap down and take it out from the side then stitch it all up again , sensible really.

Will you be taking the trees to the cemetery this week ? I seen on morning TV to water them with sugar water to keep them fresh , it’s worth a go

B is still coughing badly he has a permanent headache with it , he slept in the recliner chair last night to keep elevated ,
We have a profile electric bed in the spare room that he could do that in but he was concerned he would keep me awake bless him .
