Good Sunday morning, everyone. It's not properly light here and a bit drizzly.

All this talk of delicious slow-cooker meals, flans and bread and butter pudding is making me feel hungry. A bowl of Rice Crispies isn't going to cut it this morning!

Gem, I'm glad you enjoyed your evening with C and P, and I hope C can gradually get back to her usual activities. I can understand P wanting to wrap her in cotton wool, though. Have a lovely cuddly day with GS3, and DD and GS1 if they make it. I wonder what GS3 wil make of all the Christmas decorations and lights for his first Christmas?

Nanto, what a cute graphic. Since you can't do the freezer in the outhouse I think you should put your feet up and relax!

Mimi, it made my blood run cold just reading about the theft of your OH's identity. There are some very wicked people about and I wonder if they have any idea how devastating identity theft is. They probably don't care, but it's terrifying even to think about the consequences. I agree about casseroles being better the next day, but I don't very often follow that good tip of cooking them the day before!

As for Christmas, my OH doesn't think about it until Christmas Eve, and it's only because I have so much to do that I think about it this early! In fact I must start making mince pies this week.

I hope everyone has a peaceful, happy, relaxing Sunday. Do you remember when it used to be called a day of rest!

Daisy my ex OH (very generous with his gifts I have to say) did all his shopping on Christmas Eve. It made for some unusual presents sometimes!
My present OH does begin a bit earlier, but she only has me and her 3 great nephews to buy for

        Morning ladies
        Had a busy morning ,
Done a dark wash then the towels , gave the bathroom a really good clean after my shower still wrapped in my towel ,
Didnt intend too but once I started I couldn’t stop .
        did my cleaning
I then rearrange the Christmas tree , I wasn’t happy with some of the bauble placements ,
We then went to Morrisons for a few bits .

        Gem
So nice to hear C is ok but it is easy to wrap them in cotton wool .
Enjoy your day with GS3, all those cuddles I’m jealous 😁

        Daisy
Its amazing what you find in the back of cupboards ,
I try to check packets and jars regularly but there is always one little blighter that gets missed 😁

        Mimi
I think casseroles and soup taste so much better the next day ,
Gives it time to blend all the flavours and thicker up .
How lovely together snow globe , I’ve always wanted a nice big Christmas one ,

        Nanto
Lovely Graphic I want a basket of them pups 😁
We went to Rome on our cruise too it was packed but we got to see so much in that day .

We had Storm From 6 till 11.30 last night ,
I hand fed him some chicken but he didn’t eat much and never even sniffed at the Turkey I had for him .
Still not 100% bless him .

He lay stretched out on my feet ,
B was laying on the sofa watching TV and dozing I was watching YouTube on here ,
Then the smell hit us ,
Storm had wind and believe me the smell was horrendous

We ended up sitting in Kitchen while he slept happily through it oblivious to the fact we were trying hard not to throw up 😱😂😂😂

when I say it was a green mist a mixture of rotten eggs and rotten meat you can get the gist of how disgusting it was ,
        🤮🤢🤢
Even fabreze had no effect .

DD said it was bad but I didn’t expect that 🤣
Im not fat just 6ft too small

Mimi, that was a dreadful thing to happen, someone stealing your OH’s identity. Good job the bank was on the ball. I like snow globes, how kind of your DS and Dil to bring you one.

Gemini, enjoy your day with GG

We had a lovely day with baby GS, he was a little angel. He loves us to sing to him and we both did that a lot. We took him for a short walk but it started to rain so we weren't out long .
GS1 has a cold so DD didn't think it wise to bring him over today.

Oma I always keep rearranging the tree decorations too! I think we will put ours up tomorrow as I have a busy week and GC staying next weekend.

Gem, well done to your ex for getting all his shopping done on Christmas Eve. D: What a lovely day you've had with GS3. He sounds such a little sweetie. I hope GS1's cold is soon better. There are so many bugs around at the moment. I think it will be a good job when the children break up for Christmas (although I'm sure there will be harassed parents and grandparents who won't agree with me!)

Oma, I had to laugh at you and B sitting in the kitchen while Storm's tummy did its thing. I suppose it will take time for his digestive system to settle down again after being so poorly, but it's not the best weather for sitting with the windows wide open.

I seem to have had another busy day, but not quite sure what I've achieved! I did a couple of loads of dog towels, cooked and then diced liver for dog treats, walked the dog. There seems to be a bit of a pattern, doesn't there! I also had a chat with DS1 and DIL1, made a rice pudding for tomorrow, and made soda bread to have with soup tonight.

Mimi, I'm sure your tree does look fine, but equally, I'm sure it will look even finer when you've rearranged the decorations.

Good morning, another one full of cold! I woke in the night and was sneezing so much I thought it was an allergic reaction, it wasn't, I had an awful sore throat etc yesterday, with it being the present game at DS1 I did think of not going, I went in the end, tissues etc with me! I did manage to enjoy the game, we all did, DIL had snacks etc and I managed the softer ones as my throat was like sandpaper. The throat is much better now, I slept well, just the head cold to get rid of now.

I will catch up on the posts later, no plans today, I will have to give aqua a miss!

I had a Lidl box to pick up on my way so I took it to DIL so she could get out what she wanted, DS1 couldn't believe how much was in it for the price I pay!!

Its a dry start to the day.

Lizzie,my cold wasn't too bad,but its left me with one heck of a cough.

Mimi, i'm another one that tweaks the tree decorations.

Gem, glad you had a lovely day with GS.

                          Good morning Nan2 and everyone.

Oh dear Lizzie, there are a lot of colds about at the moment it seems. I'm glad you manged to enjoy last night. Take it easy today.

Today I plan to put up the main Christmas tree. We have 2 smaller ones and I will probably do those and other decorations over the next week.
I'm not sure when OH plans to do the outside lights. As we drove home from dropping off the baby last night we noticed a lot of houses had got their outside Christmas lights up.

Have a good day ladies, avoid the bugs and germs!

Good Monday morning everyone. The start of another week, but this dismal weather, coughs and colds and dark days, it's not the best week of the year!

Lizzie, take care - I know what Gem would say, plenty of fluids, keep warm and rest.

Nanto, you too. Coughs can be so tiring. It's dry here as well, but very dull and dreary. Hopefully the cold weather forecast for this week will kill off some of the bugs that are circulating at the moment.

Gem, a lot of houses round here have got their outside lights up. They certainly brighten these cold dark days.

I'm getting down to writing Christmas cards today! Plus a couple of loads of washing. OH has a hospital appointment tomorrow and DS1 and DIL are coming for the day on Thursday, so with dog training on Wednesday the week seems to be pretty busy. Oh, and I've got a dental appointment first thing Thursday morning.

I have a warning light on the dashboard of my car saying I have a flat left rear tyre, Sil has checked it and put some air in it but it is still saying the warning not to drive. I must get it to our local garage but I expect Sil will want to have a look at it first, othwise no plans. I have just about finished my present buying for birthdays and Christmas. I expect my DD and Sil will be very tired today after the family onslaught yesterday. I was pleased to get back into my quiet tidy annexe. They had toys and dirty dishes everywhere.

I hope the cold sufferers will feel better soon and the Christmas tree tinkerers will be happy with their trees.

                                Will pop back later
