Oma, it just shows MIL can be on her best behaviour sometimes. I bet every job takes twice as long when Storm is 'helping'!

Plant, your new boots sound perfect - keep your feet nice and cosy. Have they got good non-slip soles as well?

Gem, I bet GS is even more excited today. How lovely to be that age. Thank goodness you all got home safely after your meal out. I hope aquafit was fun.

Nanto, I hope you and OH have a wonderful day and the best steak ever tonight. Fifty-four years! Wow. xx

I'll write separately about our day out yesterday. Quite tired today but will take Eva out for a quick walk before dog training this afternoon.

Hallo everyone, I just had an emotional moment! The man came from the provider to fix the super wifi, such a nice man, worked well and explained it all, we had coffee and I was telling him that it was 21 years ago today that my husband died and that is was also my GD's birthday, I told him we are going out for a meal later on. When he left I had a walk to get my bread, I met a neighbour and she told me that someone had delivered flowers to me and that they were at a neighbour, I was wondering all way home who they could be from, it was the wifi technician, congratulating me on my GD's birthday and telling me to enjoy the meal. It left me in tears. I can't even thank him unless I meet him again in the area.

I could be allergic to the flowers but will deal with that if it happens.

The patio men arrived on time and are working well. I had a good aquafit class and quick coffee with my friends.

Oma, what a shame MiL behaved. It is so funny to read about her extreme behaviour but I’m guessing not so funny when she is contrary.
Gem, how was the reflexology? It’s been a long time since I had some. I may have to treat myself.
Today was the day for digging hoss muck. It was dry even underneath the pile so not too difficult to deal with and DD1 helped me put the buckets in the car. All spread on the veg patch now, waiting for the worms to get to work.
There has been filming of a new TV series around this area. My friend lives in the next road and her house was used for a ‘drugs bust’. She said they took her front door off and put a false one on to ram! All very exciting.
Off to wash flower pots now. How mundane 🙄

We have had good news ,
Clare was at consultant this morning
She is back to where she was with her Brain tumour before she got pregnant and came off her meds ,
it’s shrinking slowly but getting there .
so her meds are working , no more appointments for 6 month ,
she still has awful headaches but manages them well and Consultant was very pleased with her results ,

Cant ask for better than that can you 😁

I haven't been in touch with C today. She is someone who really doesn't like a lot of fuss, so it's a fine line between letting them know I care and being Too Much! I will probably message her tomorrow.

Reflexology was good Grauntie, I have a monthly treatment, sometimes more often if I have specific problem.
The filming at your friends house sounds most exciting!

Lovely afternoon with DD and baby. I gave him his bottle and had lots of cuddles. We are having him for the day on Sunday, so lots more cuddles to come.

We off to MILs soon with her meals ,
Sweet & Sour Chicken with rice , BBQ Chicken with green beans and Roasties , Lamb Hot Pot, plus two Apple Puddings with little pots of custard and a Chocolate muffin
That will keep her going for a few days ,
SIL took her a roast dinner on Monday and we took her out Tuesday so she’s well fed this week 😁

A dark and wet morning today.
OH is on the way to a golf competition near Leeds, not the best weather for it.
I'm not sure if the patio men will finish today. They will definitely finish the the patio, but we need the first couple of feet of our drive renewing as it has cracked over the years with us driving on it ( ) We asked these guys to do that as part of the job. It will be a pain as we wont be able to park on the drive for days, but it has to be done.

I need to do some shopping this morning, and it is my afternoon to visit my mum.

Oma, your Mil is certainly well fed, how old is she? We are going away on Sunday, overnighting in Poole ready to catch the boat to Cherbourg the next morning. Your little one is growing fast. GS3 moved into his London flat last weekend, haven’t heard how it went. Good news about Claire

Gemini, Don’t envy your OH playing golf if your weather is like ours this morning, very dismal.

I have nothing to go out for today, will start sorting out what I want to take on holiday. DD and Sil had both GGDs yesterday, they are so funny together. GD’s Mil passed away yesterday so that is the end of her pain. Such a lovely lady, loved her GC.

How exciting Grauntie having a film made near to you. I hope you have a bumper crop of veg next year, do you grow rhubarb, it is supposed to be good for that.
