Nan2 it looks cold on those Santa fun run photos but a worthwhile cause indeed.

Finished the the Christmas wrapping apart from one present for GS 2 . I am waiting for it to arrive via royal mail but I'm not holding my breath as the postal strike may well hold the delivery up
As it was a cold wet day yesterday we didn't do much. After lunch we settled down to watch a Christmas film on Sky , well when I say watch a Christmas film what I really mean is I watched the film and OH slept most of the way through it !

Not a lot planned for today, just having a general tidy up and if I go really reckless I may well wash the kitchen floor.

Nan2, a Santa Run sounds a fun way to raise money.

Steady on with such recklessness Mimi. GS2 and I watched Elf yesterday. A third of the way through he changed his mind and we switched it off. I was enjoying it! I left the DVD in the player so I can watch the rest again later.

My friend M is coming for coffee this morning. Tonight I am going out again! Both my Christmas nights out happen to be on consecutive nights. Tonight is with my two ex work friends. OH drives me in for this one each year. I am very glad as my back is bad plus sciatica. I think I would struggle to walk far. I had to drive to the restaurant last night even though it is only 5 minutes walk
So I think I will be taking it easy most of today.

B busy defrosting the car we off to a outlet centre not far from us this morning , it doesn’t open till 10 so no hurry ,
They have a Lindt chocolate shop there so going to get some nice treats for the family .

The snow is quite thick but the main roads are clear so shouldn’t be a problem ,
I will look for something for MIL while I’m there , she is the only person left on our list as we never know what to get her , at this rate it will be a box of fresh air , even that she would turn her nose up at 🙄😂.

Good morning. Very cold and frosty this morning. The snow is still here and the roads and pavements look very dodgy. I’m so glad I don’t have to go out today. Cooper arrived in style, well wrapped up and carried in like a little lord! He has had a good nose around the garden and is now in his fa ourite place…asleep on my bed. He’ll be there most of the day, he’s not stupid 😀.

I feel like it might be a soup making morning, something nice and spicy. I have knitting to finish too so will keep myself busy in the warm. Have a good day everyone ⛄️

Good morning, it is very cold but still dry.

I will go to pool in the car as the water will be very cold today, even colder than usual, the pool was used for competition swimming yesterday and they practise in our pool, it has to be cold!!!

I hope your back isn't too bad today Gem. They asked at the class I have just been to if I wanted to join the lunch next week, I said no as I am doing coffee that day then pool so no time for lunch, plus, I have a few meals coming up in the next 2 weeks.

Oma, I hope you find something for MIL, Lindt 100% for me please.

We have had about 2ins of snow fall overnight so that is me snowed in. The main road will be fine but I have the drive, track and an uncleared road before I get to the village road which might be clear. I was going shopping today, I deliberately let the fridge run down. I haven’t seen DD and Sil, I hope they are feeling better.

Enfys, trust a dog to find out where to get warm.

Mimi, I feel like drawing the curtains, turning on the heating and watching a film. If my OH were alive we would have a roaring fire and a glass of sherry and a mince pie.

So sad that 3 of the 4 children who fell through the ice have died , those poor families .

I read about that Oma, my nightmare!!! We have so so much water here and with the Dutch loving the ice it is temptation for them to try it before it is thick enough to skate on.

I went to the pool, the water wasn't too bad, only, the heating in the building wasn't working, oh dear, when you were above water it was freezing cold!! Luckily I went in the car and we were soon home.

GS turned up for Tea so a quick scramble to make something for him ,
He had just gone when doorbell went , my neighbour who we took the parcel in for was standing with a beautiful winter bouquet of flowers for me , a lovely surprise ,

There is a very frosty fog falling it’s going to be another bitter cold night .

Good morning ladies. Another cold one.

Hubby going into town to meet his pal.
I'm going with him,but will go round town on my own.
DIL to be is working,so i'm going to the cafe where she works.
Need one or two bits from the butchers. Don't need any christmas shopping though.
We won't be eating out,so i think it will be fish fingers and potato croquettes done in the air fryer.
