Oma, I've watched the packers at the supermarket as well. Some are ok, but others don't seem to care, but how can a perishable item be left in the chiller for over a month! There must be someone who is responsible for checking dates. A couple of weeks ago we had a dairy item that was a couple of days out of date, and that was bad enough. We'd ordered bacon this week as well, as I needed an extra packet for bacon butties in a couple of days. It was in date, but a shorter date than the packet I had had the week before, so it had been on the shelf for at least a week.

I hate leaving the ironing to pile up, but I still let it happen! There's a big pile at the moment.

Daisy, a nurse will be phoning before I have the operation to explain everything to me. It is just that I have looked at a few site (USA) and got some information.

I am pleased that you enjoyed your evening with the neighbours, Eva will forgive you!

Knit and Natter at the library for me this morning. More nattering than knitting ๐Ÿ˜€. The lovely ladies keep us supplied with tea and biscuits so a nice relaxing couple of hours. Theyโ€™d also had a big clear out of books so I picked up one by Robert Galbraith (J K Rowling), the latest in a series for 10pโ€ฆ.bargain.
Just waiting for a friend to phone, I had a missed call this morning then itโ€™s either ironing or readingโ€ฆ.I wonder which will win ๐Ÿ˜€

I don't feel ill, just very tired and got a headache.
Not made many loo trips so i think it's eased off now.
Went to the supermarket and all the shopping is away now.

Nanto, hopefully now the shopping id done and put away you can relax and rest.

Enfys, I bet most knit and natter groups could be called nattering and knitting groups, too. Even the tiny one I did with GD1 when she was poorly was more chatting than knitting. Although Im pleased to see she is still knitting as a form of relaxation. You certainly got a bargain with the book.

                  Good morning everyone.

I hope you are all OK.

Last night on the dessert buffet there was baked Alaska. Something I have always wanted to try as sponge cake, ice cream and meringue are some of my favourite foods. I had decided to avoid the dessert section entirely last night and choose fruit ( of which there is a fantastic selection) Once we saw the baked Alaska that plan went out of the window! You rarely see it on menus so I had to have it. We shared a slice, then went back and each had a generous slice of our own! Just fruit tonight...... maybe.

Talk to you all later. Breakfasting ,reading and swimming to be done

Good morning, I saw that on FB Gem, I have never tasted it, it did look good though.

Very hot here yesterday, I went for a walk at 7pm and it was still very warm. I even found a dogs lead, no dog attached!

DS1 will be home later today and DS2 is on his way to the French Alps, he goes as a guide with a cycle group, he has done it for years, missing the last few years of course. There are 2 guides, one day they get to cycle and the next they drive the van etc.

I may have a bike ride but never keen on a Sunday morning, too busy with race cyclists.

Oma, DS1 was saying he will be on his way to Sweden again, tomorrow or Tuesday I think he said. I often message him and ask where he is!!!!!

Have a look in the cupboard, if you can't be bothered, close the door!

Just looking at the forecast, 29 degrees again tomorrow! The rain has moved to Tuesday now.

Very late getting up but now showered and dressed. Today all the females are going to a local eatery for a Hen party, it is a tea I gather. This is just a family one, the bride to be has already had a hen party with her friends. GD1 has arrived with H and we are expecting GS1, his wife and the 2 children. GD2 is here for the party and she wanted to see all her siblings and the little ones.

Lizzie, take care if you go out on your bike. Your boys certainly get around.

Oma, I am sure there isnโ€™t a cupboard in your house that needs tidying, just shut the door. The trouble is that when you start one job, it leads to another.

Nanto, I hope your problem is over and you will get more sleep.

No rain here, not sure what the forecast is.

Gemini, that Baked Alaska looked good, good job you had some, it would have melted otherwise. Fruit salad tonight?

Turned out quite warm after this mornings rain. Its 22 degrees here.

That must be why you felt tired maybe Nan2? I'm glad neither of you are poorly and hope it stays that way.

I am still down at the pool but heading up to the room now for a shower, cup of tea and Scrabble. OH went up for her shower a little while ago. 32 here today. It has been 30 or 31 since we got here. As we are right on the sea there is usually a nice breeze which keeps it manageable.
