I am trapped in my sun room, raining outside. We have had ver mixed weather today after the storm last evening. Surprised to see we have some Quince on the tree for the first time after ten years. Looked up when to pick them, apparently in October or when they are completely yellow. Then I have to wrap them and store them in the dark until they are softer. I love Quince with stewed apple. It has pretty flowers in the Spring too.

Oma, that GS of yours knows where to go to get fed, I am sure he loves your company too. I am a sucker where my GS’s are concerned too.

Plant, thank goodness you got that stitch removed at last.

Nan2 phew, I would miss Wilko.

        LOL @ your GS1 Oma!!

I hope the TV arrived and was efficiently installed WG.

Cycling along the lake sounds nice Lizzie. So does your meal!

Only one sea swim for us today. We must be getting lazy

Hello. It's rather late in the day and I haven't read back properly yet., but Plant, how lovely to have quince fruit. When we lived in Worthing we had a productive quince bush in the garden that produced loads of fruit. I didn't have the straining bag etc to make quince jelly, but I did make jam out of the fruit. The recipe didn't explain about how ripe they had to be, and it was like peeling snooker balls. The jam was lovely, but the effort was huge.

We've had a lovely day with DS1 and DIL who arrived later morning and left about an hour ago. Ready for bed, now. It's been a lovely but very busy day. I'll catch up in the morning.

Daisy, glad you had a lovely day with DS1 and DIL.

I have never tasted quince, don't think i've seen any.

Got a few jobs to do,one of them being a bit of ironing.

Cod in breadcrumbs, boiled potatoes and mixed veg for dinner. Oh, not forgetting parsley sauce.

Good morning, we had heavy thunder storms during the night but it is dry now, still very warm though.

I have just phoned the doctor and I have an appointment on Friday morning, I have arthritis in my foot, 2 of my toes are so swollen and painful, one nail has turned black so I thought it was time I saw the doctor. I do have special soles so I don't have to bend my foot, maybe they need renewing.

I was just talking to the neighbour, it was her daughter that had a difficult pregnancy, her son was born yesterday by C section, 9 pounds.

Good morning everyone. After raining on and off yesterday, we've had more rain overnight and a heavy shower this morning. The sun's out now, but more rain is forecast. I'm relieved that we seem to be getting 'proper' rain at last, and the gardens and Forest are very grateful, too!

Oma, between spoiling GS1 and Storm, you are kept pretty busy. Is GS1 having a party for his birthday on Saturday? I hope the electrical check gets done today.

Lizzie, your toes sound very painful. I hope the doctor can give you something to help. Your cycle trips always sound lovely and peaceful.

Nanto - your dinner sounds lovely. I do like fish with parsley sauce. What a pity about the Wilco stores. We haven't got any conveniently near enough for us anyway, but I know a lot of people like them.

Plant, you're right. We all seem to spoil out GCs, don't we. But if we grans can't spoil them, who can!

Gem, your holiday seems to be flying by but I'm so glad you are enjoying it.

WeeGranny, no I'm sure your neighbour didn't realise about the noise, but it was probably something you could have done without right then. I'm in awe of how much work you've achieved on your new house so quickly, and you're still finding time to get to know your new neighbourhood with walks etc.

No plans for me this morning, apart from taking Eva out for a little walk. It's dog training this afternoon, so she doesn't need a long one. I'm still quite tired after yesterday though, so a quiet morning will be good.

Daisy, it must smell lovely in the forest after the rain. Our grass is getting greener every day.

I am going to a WI craft group this morning, we are going to discuss how we are going to decorate our Christmas tree for the church this year. All the organisations in the village including the playgroups decorate a tree and they are displayed in the church. Time to go, will be back later.

Had drizzle earlier but the sun is out now,and its very warm.

Plant, our grass is greening up as well, although i suspect it wasn't as parched as yours.

Jobs are nicely getting done. Even hubby is giving the shed a good clean.

Hello ladies,Weather here has been funny the past 2 days either sun shine or heavy rain with thunderstorms I managed to dodge the worst of the rain yesterday when out shopping I passed the time browsing in a charity shop until the rain eased off and I could walk back to my car.
My car passed the MOT on Monday the garage phoned and advised that the brake pads would need changing on the next MOT so I told him to do it whilst it was with him you can't take the risk can you ?

My DGS3 also called in for feeding yesterday he loves his food Oma and is always hungry he had finished work early and with his mum working he decided to see what was on offer at nanna's,good job I have lots of stuff in my freezer & fridge he went home happy & topped up.

I'm having a day at home today going to do all the floors & glass table Oliver came in this morning and walked over all the glass so fat paw marks everywhere he is a menace I'm sure he does it on purpose !!

Tomorrow morning is breakfast with my DD& eldest DS its the first time he will be coming here without DGD as she started school on Monday it will be great to have my two eldest together they usually miss each other when they visit,it will be very strange not having DGD here I will have to arrange with DS when I am going to see her, her mother will no doubt be difficult about it but lets wait and see.

Must go now and get moving or I shall be sitting here all day chatting.xx

                            Hello everyone.

We have just done a very long swim in the sea. It's a pity we don't have the swimmers equivalent of a pedometer with us!

Lizzie, definitely time to see someone about your foot.

Nan2 don't mention ironing, we will have so much to do when we get back!

Oma I read it as the dog was having his annual electric check

I hope dog training goes well Daisy.

                            Christmas planning already Plant 🎄

I'm glad the car passed its MOT Glamma. I would have had the brake pads done as well.

After all that swimming it is relaxing on sunbeds ( in the shade) time. I may have a sangria next time one of the ladies from the bar passes by

Gem, a few ladies at the pool have those apple? watches on, they can count the steps and then the metres that they swim. I haven't got one!
