Nanto, lets hope you both stay the same with the covid, I wasn't really ill, tired and ached all over.

Oma, I get bored on a Sunday, why I do not know but I always have done. In fact I have cleaned and oiled my suite etc to keep me occupied. I have just received a message from DB2 and SIL, they are living it up in Spain! I admire them for travelling all that way by car etc, first to Dover then across to Calais, straight through France and into Spain. He does enjoy driving though, he was a long distance lorry driver so has plenty of experience.

Lizzie,we both just feel like we have a cold. Both of us have had worse colds than what we feel like now.
I'm glad we don't have to stay in now, we are allowed to go out if we take precautions, which is common sense.
I have never liked sundays either. Even when i was a little girl i didn't like them.

it came really dark about 5.30,looked like a storm was brewing, but it passed over.

          Hello everyone.

We had an early start, taking Eva out about 6.30 so she could have a good walk and a bit of time to cool down before her breakfast and then some time to digest it before she had to go in the car. We were travelling to see friends in a village in Somerset, but the most direct route was via Dorchester. Today was the County Show so the roads would have been very busy, so we took a longer route to avoid the congestion. We picked friends up at 9 am and made really good time - even had time for a coffee on the way. We've had a lovely day and a delicious lunch (the Somerset friend is a fantastic cook). We got back about 9 pm and we're both tired. Eva's had a good time as our friend make such a fuss of her.

It rained all afternoon in Somerset and we were thinking our garden would be nicely watered, but it's bone dry. I don't think there was a single drop of rain here. It's still warm enough to sit outside as well at nearly 10 o'clock.

Sun is shining, but we had heavy rain during the night.

Been to the post office and saw a lot of children starting back at school.
The little ones starting for the first time, looked so cute in their uniforms.

Good Monday morning everyone. Not long after I posted last night the heavens opened and we had a short but heavy shower of rain. I don't know if it rained later in the night as well, but everywhere looks refreshed and a bit greener.

Nanto, I hope you're not feeling poorly with Covid. I hope you've got a quiet day to get some rest.

Lizzie, I think when we were children there was never much to do on a Sunday, but now it's so much like any other day of the week. I'm not sure whether that's a good thing or not. Your BIL2 must enjoy driving to do that long journey, although I think European roads are often less congested than ours. How on earth do you keep up with your DS1 - he's a real globe trotter.

Oma, I'm glad you shut the door on the cupboard. I bet it was perfectly tidy when you checked. At least you've got dinner planned for today. I hope the weather is more comfortable for you.

Gem, the weather sounds perfect. Those temperatures are lovely when you've got a sea breeze as well and haven't got to do anything much more strenuous than turn the pages of a good book. I think getting away to the sun at this time of the year sets you up a bit for the winter ahead of us. It's my favourite time to go abroad.

Plant, how has your week-end been? I hope all the hens have enjoyed themselves. x

I'm out for coffee this morning - it's the little group of neighbours in our cul de sac who started meeting up after lockdown. Sometimes we go into the village, but today one of the neighbours has invited us all to hers. I also need to get a few jobs done and do some baking. DS1 and DIL are coming for the day tomorrow. I'm going to do a roast dinner (big deal for me!) and also the house needs a bit of TLC. Eva is really tired after yesterday so I'll walk her later. She's had her breakfast and gone back to bed.

I hope the week starts well for everyone. x

Oma, our posts crossed. Yes, thank you we did sleep well after yesterday. Aww, Archie looks so grown up and super-cute. It doesn't seem 5 minutes since he was a newborn. I hope he enjoys nursery. x

Oma, love the photo of Archie.

We aren't too bad with covid. Its like having a cold and we get the odd hot flush.
But symptoms can vary from person to person.
Both of us are glad that you don't have to stay in now.
You can go out if wearing a face covering. Hadn't planned on going out today, but we are going into town tomorrow.

Nanto, pleased to hear you are not feeling too poorly with covid but take things a bit easy or your energy level will drop.

Archie looks ready for nursery Oma, love the goggles

Daisy you are a social butterfly, poor Eva you have worn her out. Enjoy your visit from DS1, I am sure they will enjoy a roast dinner.

The ladies had a lovely tea, so much to eat. Under two weeks to go now, last minute arrangements being made. Feeling slightly anxious today, H is going to a childminder, I wonder how she will find it. My DD can’t cover all the days so this has to be an arrangement now her other GM is so poorly. Good news from GS3, he has found a flat to share with friends in London, I am so pleased for him, he hasn’t had it easy because of Covid. I had a bad night, can’t seem to wake up properly. We had a noisy storm in the night and some good rain.

                        Happy Monday to everyone,
I was up bright and early today well before 7am which is early for me,the man from the garage was due at 8.30 to collect my car and take it in for MOT & service he arrived right on time and my little car has gone for some TLC its the 1st MOT so all should be good (fingers crossed) they are bringing it back about 4ish.

Its so so warm here we just had a rainstorm on Saturday it was good for the plants but everything dry again.

Oma I bet your cupboards are so tidy and in order look again next week !!

My friend is coming to stay again next week she is coming on Monday and we are off to B&Q for wallpaper as I am changing the kitchen paper although I love the paper up now (remember Oma pinkish bookshelves) I have decided to have black & white so it looks good with the black & white flooring I am going to change the kettle etc to red to give a splash of colour so we should have a nice day browsing the shops may even get as far as JL in Liverpool for some little bits and bobs in red.

Oliver has just turned up this morning he has been staying out at night time everytime I go to pick him up and bring him indoors he runs away into the bushes he is just a menace so naughty but cheeky he waits until I go to pick him up before he bolts away. He can manage the cat flap very well so I am not too worried about him being outdoors.

All sorts to be done today as I can't go out without my car so bedding changed and washed/brush front drive way as covered with acorn droppings from the big tree right outside/feed the birds again so must get started then shower and wash hair today, still contemplating having a mauve colour on my hair just need the courage to do it .

                        Bye for now xx glamma

Good morning everyone from sunny Majorca ☀️
I am posting from my sunbed overlooking the sea.

We had a light rain shower earlier, but it's as hot and sunny as ever now at 11.30.
We heard there is a burst water main, hole in the road and road closed in our village at home. It's not a road we have to use but I'm sure it will inconvenience a lot of people.

                          How cute Archie looks Oma

Good news about your GS's flat Plant. I hope H had a good day with the childminder.

Getting together with friends for coffee Daisy, one of my favourite things!

Nan2, my GC go back to school tomorrow.

Let us know if you go mauve Glamma. Maybe you could just have a little streak done at first to see what you think of it.

                          Are you cycling today Lizzie?

Hallo everyone, Gem, Monday is my sports day, first the gym, then synrgy circuit, come home for a coffee and then on the bike to the aqua! Now, I am shattered! I do enjoy it though!

Oma, I love the photo of Archie and of the farm, did you have lunch there! When I was in the UK by DB took us to a farm shop/restaurant in Hutton Cranswick, we all had a delicious lunch there and SIL did some (pie) shopping.

It is warm here, humid with it.

Glamm, you have huge plans for you kitchen, it will look nice though in black and white.

Plant, how did it go with baby H with the child minder? You will all be getting excited about the wedding.

Daisy, I don't know what it is with Sundays, I can do things like any other day, but, different really! As you say, we never did much at all on a Sunday when we were young.

I hope you enjoyed your lunch today. Your visit to your friends in Somerset would be nice for you all, a long day though.
