Two sea swims for me today, one for OH.
Hard to tear ourselves away from the sea for the last time!
It's very sad about our dear Queen. Where there is life there is hope, and she is a tough lady.
I feel however that the fact that we are being told that she is so poorly means that the end is near

Good morning, it is very dull here, I think the rain that has been forecast will start to fall soon.
I have been to the doctor, she pricked my finger for blood to have it tested to see if it was a bacterial infection, it wasn't and I now have tablets to stop the infection, if it isn't clear in a week I have to go back. The toe where it started, the nail has turned black, that frightened me, it did the doctor as she thought my toe was black! She said it will be from the pressure of the swelling. I am now hoping it soon clears.
We always gave the doctor a hand when we went into the surgery, with the covid that stopped of course, I asked her if they shook hands or not now, she said if she is given a hand she will take it, but, all doctors, specialists etc have decided it is better not to shake hands, not only because of the covid but of other bacteria's, germs etc. She said that patients arrive with all kind of illnesses so it is better not to shake hands. There is something in that.
Good Morning on this sad day ladies,Gems your holiday has flown over have a good journey home it is fabulous to go away but so much better to come home again I hope you have both had a really good time.
Yesterday I enjoyed a couple of hours with my DD & DS we went locally to a little Bistro for a late breakfast they get on so well together and it was lovely to be in their company DS will be going to stay at DDs house when the sale of his house goes through later this month.Yesterday was the first day DS had come on his own as my DGD started full time school on Monday it was very strange with out her even Oliver noticed she was missing as he stayed indoors all morning he usually he runs for the back garden when she arrives.
Today will be quiet my DGD is coming to do some weeding and tidy up the bin store for me she is a good girl and knows how hard I find some jobs with this painful back she is funny and good company.
I have given up trying to hang washing outdoors these past few days with the intermittent down pours of rain the thunder claps have been really loud but there have been some really lovely rainbows to be seen afterwards.
Morning ladies

Its a sad day
we were up watching the news from early dawn ,
just been to Asda ,
Two young Black people who patrols the disabled bays outside were both wearing Black arm bands ,
So respectful and nice to see ,
I did tell them how it was good to see the respect they were showing .
I didn’t wake up until after 10 this morning, I was watching the news until quite late. Nothing to rush for today, I need to go to the post office to post a parcel and I expect H will be here today. GGD 1 was here too yesterday, they get on so well. I wish it would stop raining now, we didn’t like it so hot now we have constant heavy showers.
Gemini, although you are sorry to come home, I am sure you can’t wait to see the baby and your DD. Safe journey.
Oma, I presume Mil was reasonable as you haven’t commented on your visit.
Glamm, It must have been lovely to have your DD and DS together, DS needs his family to give him support. I wonder how your GD got on at school.
Daisy, as you say, it seems a strange day.
My DD and Sil came in yesterday evening to see if I was upset at the news. I was very sad but knew her time was near after seeing the pic with Liz Truss. Her fingers were white and she looked so frail but did her duty to the end.. Someone posted on Facebook that it was already known in the media that the Queen had died earlier, 3.40?
Did you see the tribute by Justin Trudeau, he was in tears.
What is life if full of care we have no time to stand and stare
