Glamma, I wondered what you were up to recently
How lovely to have a good friend who can also wallpaper for you! good news about the eye clinic, and Oliver staying in more.

Sewing ability obviously runs in your family then Lizzie.

I am pain free!!! For the first time in over a week. I saw my dentist this morning, and she rinsed and repacked the socket and said the area is generally healing well. Hopefully if this come out in couple of days there will be enough healing for the pain not to return. It certainly feels good not to be in pain all the time. Even painkillers didn't get rid of it fully.
OH drove me and just waited in the car as it was a quick procedure. We then did a little shopping for GD's birthday. Primark voucher (on her list) plus some Sanctuary stuff which she loves and Lindt chocolate (which she also loves, like her Grandma!)

We are looking forward to the theatre tonight, and the rain is due to have stopped by then, a bonus.

He's talking about going to Screwfix tomorrow, and wants me to go as well. oh the joy.

Gem, glad you aren't having as much pain.

Please forgive me not commenting on your day today - I am up to my neck in moving stuff from one room to another, before we can even go to bed. The carpet fitter had worked his socks off today and finished the three bedrooms. Just the lading and stairs to do tomorrow.

I haven’t been around much recently as we have been here, there, and everywhere visiting friends and rellies. I will try to keep up from now on.😁
A friend in Yorkshire sent me home with 2 huge boxes of apples. Today I made apple chutney. We have had apple cake, apple purée, baked apples, and now I have wrapped the remainder and put them in the garage.
I keep threatening to get the knitting out but haven’t managed it yet.

Good morning everyone, a lovely sunny morning, it is warm as well, I have been to the shops, had a few chats along the way!

Daisy, another busy day for you , but, it will be worth it when everything is back in its place!

Gem, I hope you enjoyed the theatre and that your mouth wasn't causing too much pain.

The friends picked me up yesterday, we had a lovely lunch then went to the Makro for a few things they needed, I enjoyed it all, even the Makro. I was waiting for them down in the hall, I had my body warmer on, I got quite a few compliments in the few minutes I was waiting! Gem, I only had to learn to sew when I came to live here, when I was at home my sister did it all for me, then, when I arrived here I had to learn it myself.

Plant, you must be very pleased with all that is going on in the village hall.

I will have my coffee out in the sun this morning.

Plant, is Rummikin the one with number tiles? I took over from someone in the middle of a game of that during the weekend away if so. I found it confusing!

Very cold here Nan2, and windy. Screwfix is no fun to visit at all, as its all catalogues!

I hope MIL is on good form Oma.

Grauntie, we have SO many apples. I made crumbles last week , I must get on and make more apple things!

Daisy, the end is in sight for you with carpet fitting. I hope you can put your feet up soon

We did enjoy getting out and going to the theatre, but it felt odd as that is the most crowded environment we have been in since pre covid times. A full house, no distancing now and no masks worn. The play was a tad confusing towards the end, and we couldn't always hear, but it was good.
My tooth remained painfree all afternoon and most of the evening . A dull ache returned and I got up at 6 for painkillers. It will heal soon, I am looking forward to that day!

I am collecting GC from school today instead of Friday this week. I will also collect a boy in GD's class as they take turns with the school run. I know him, a nice lad who went to primary school with GD. He lives near GS's school so I will drop him off as I park . This week I am looking after GD and GS2 at their house. GS will be excited. He loves coming here, but also loves me going there as it doesn't happen as often.

                      Have a good day ladies.

Gemni, yes it sounds like Rummikin,it is played with tiles and you can add onto tiles that have been laid. It is a very popular game. There are still only 7 of us apart from the husband and wife who organise it and teach us the games, they also keep us supplied with drinks and goodies. It must feel strange to sit in a theatre or a cinema after so long.

I have a doctors appt at 12, I made this about a month ago. Apart from the spots I am going to ask if I can see someone about the pain in my neck and shoulders.

Oma, I hope your Mil is in a good mood and appreciates the lovely food you take her.

Daisy, the end is in sight, I didn’t realise you were having the stairs done as well, quite an upheaval. Eva will be pleased to see her friend again.

Lizzie, Lovely to have someone admire your work.

Plant, I was assured I would enjoy that game once I go used to it!

Well, we were in bed, me on the laptop, OH on her phone, just thinking about getting up when there was a knock at the door! It was our hairdresser, we had both completely forgotten about our 9 am hair appointment Our hair is cut now anyway, and now we can have breakfast!

Just as well I was up this morning, Boots rang to offer me an appointment for my flu jab. The original appointment wasn't until November, so it was a quick dash in the shower and down to the parade of shops. All very simple and over in a couple of minutes. Hopefully that's the last of injections for a while! Treated myself to a coffee and muffin when it was done.

I should have been joining an art class today, but got a phone call to say the tutor has Covid. This is the third week it's been cancelled, the other two, the tutor was away. I was none too pleased, but I was assured the missed classes would be made up!! As DD said it'll be next year before they are.

Got someone coming round this afternoon to advise me on what can be done with the garden. It's not big, but there are a couple of very large bushes which need removing to open it up. The decking is in a sorry state and I think that'll need replacing, not sure whether to go for paving or decking. Will wait to see what is suggested and what the cost'll be!

Promised to make something for the MacMillan coffee morning tomorrow, so need to get on with that. Otherwise, I'm not sure what the rest of the day will bring.

Whatever you're up to ladies, enjoy ! xx
Believe you can and you're halfway there.

WG, were you at the Boots in Park Parade, I was there at lunch time and had lunch in the Cafe and bought some meat from the butchers. Good luck with the garden, you just need it to be attractive and somewhere to sit outside I suppose.

Gemini, good job you were awake when the hairdresser arrived.

My lovely doctor said I have tendinitis and she has arranged for me to have an injection at the end of the month, can’t have it before as I have just had my flu injection but I am mystified what that has to do with it. I am very sad as she told me she is leaving our practice to work at one nearer to her home. Here we go again!

Been a busy but good day.

Hairdresser came at 9.30, both of us been shorned.

Then we went in the garden to finish a job hubby started on tuesday.
Couldn't finish it yesterday because of the rain.
After dinner, we were back in the garden. Hubby tidied round,i cut the grass.
Kept threatening to rain, but it held off.

                                Went the day well.
