Oma, How worrying for you all, I hope baby F will be better soon.

Lizzie, good to know you have arrived safely, have a lovely time.

Aqua for me later, not sure if I should be in the pool, psoriasis still not clearing up. Baby H next door with Sil again, her other GM is seriously ill so can’t look after her. Sil is so good with her, loves her to bits.
Not sure what is going to happen when DD and sil go on holiday at the end of July.

      Will pop back later

        Good morning everyone.

Oma, poor baby Finley and poor M and C These things are so worrying. He is in the best place though and they will be doing their best to rule things out. I hope he is better and back home very soon.
My GS1 was in hospital at a few weeks old having all sorts of tests including a lumbar puncture. It was scary but he remembers nothing and they never got to the the bottom of it.

Enjoy your break Lizzie. You can tell us all about it when you get home.

        Welcome home Glamma.

Just another day of the same here. I'm hoping the Dr is calling me today. It will be two weeks tomorrow since all this started. I have given up hope of ever feeling well again.

Hope Dr can give you something to pick you up otherwise it’s a long slow process isn’t it .

We went to MILs took food for next 3 days and some other bits ,
Came out went to Morrisons then Aldi ,
Came home had some lunch then into the loft to get the last of the rubbish out , it’s all packed in the car ready to go to tip in the morning .

I'm so sorry Oma. Treatments these days are so different to years ago , now they know they will start him. I'm sending all my positive thoughts and love to that little family.

I saw a Dr this afternoon. I am to send in a stool sample in the morning. If anything shows over the weekend they can treat me next week.
My BP and temperature were normal so that's something.

Oh Oma, thats terrible news. Can't imagine how his parents must be feeling.

Gem, thats a start, your BP and temperature being normal.

I'm only just catching up with today's posts, and Oma I'm so shocked and upset to hear little Fin has meningitis. Is the drip IV antibiotics in case it's bacterial? Will he still have some immunity from the viral form from his mum? Poor little chap, and I can't even begin to imagine how C and M must be feeling. Sending you all love, hugs and prayers.

Gem, two weeks is a long time to be feeling as you are. I hope your BP and temperature being normal means that horrible bug is on its way out of your system, but you must be feeling drained and totally fed up. Do get better soon. xxx

Plant - it's lucky your SIL is able to help with looking after baby H, even with one arm out of action. It's going to be a worry for your GD what will happen when your DD and SIL go on holiday. Will they be able to take some time off work? How are the preparations for the celebrations going? I hope the weather warms up a bit (but not too hot!) Perhaps the aqua class will do your psoriasis good. I wouldn't think it would do any harm, anyway.

It's bee a busy day today. I had arranged to see a friend from college this morning for a coffee, but hadn't seen GD1 on Tuesday because she wasn't well enough. I reallyt needed to see both of them today to leave tomorrow free. (I'll tell you why in a minute.) So in the end I went to see my friend earlier than planned, which she was quite happy with. We had a coffee and a good long chat, and I got to GD's just before lunch. She seemed pleased to see me, but Cooper was a bit puzzled because I hadn't taken Eva with me! DS2 suggested I should run round the garden barking with a ball in my mouth. Needless to say, I didn't! So we had a lovely natter and did a bit of knitting - I finished a multicoloured scrunchie for GD2.

The reason I need to keep tomorrow clear is that we've finally booked a caravan holiday - a week at East Fleet (overlooking Chesil beach and the Fleet Lagoon) from Sunday. So just two days to spring clean the caravan and sort everything out, plus the usual packing dilemmas to cater for all weathers! The caravan site borders a path round the Lagoon, and it's also close to West Bay, Weymouth, Lyme Regis and other lovely places. So looking forward to a week of relaxation, nice walks and hopefully, some good weather.

Daisy we have no idea what immunity he has if any yet ,
Clare rang about 11 tonight , all these things going on in her head , did they miss something , could they have done something sooner etc , had to tell her they did nothing wrong ,
He is 3 weeks old they haven’t taken their eyes off him so they would have noticed if there was something amiss .
We feel so helpless nothing we can do to stop their anguish it’s awful .

Pleased GD was well enough for you to go she will miss you when your away ,
Sounds a lovely place , taken a long time to finally get away hasn’t it 😁.

Good morning, Oma, what a worrying time, I do hope that all goes well.xxxxxxx

Daisy, enjoy your week away, I was in Weymouth, with DS 1 and family for my 60th birthday, we all enjoyed the holiday.

I may have missed a few posts, sorry.

we went to Driffield yesterday then out for yet another meal last night with their eldest son and partner, I really enjoyed it, it was in the restaurant where we met up years ago Gem in Bishop Burton, only the coffee was like dishwater, we sent the first ones back and the second ones were no better, I told them about it, a thing I never do, they apologized and removed them from the bill.

DB is going for their new car today, I am hoping it is dry to do something in the garden. It is huge!

                            Morning Lizzie ,
All my family on my Dads side come from Driffield going back to 1700 they never seemed to have left the area 😁
All were easy to find in my Ancestry search .

Its not too bad a morning here so you may get out into the garden today , whatever you do enjoy xx

We have a slot booked at the Tip for 9.30 , The last lot of rubbish out of the loft ,

Talking to Clare during night she’s blaming herself had to tell her it’s nothing they have done ,

B just spoken to Martin , Fin slept well and he’s had a bottle , his temp at the moment is stable but we all know how quickly that can change don’t we with babies

Will pop back later see what everyone is doing today xx

Good Morning,Oma so sad to hear about little mans illness mummy & daddy must be distraught I'm sure he will pick up soon he is in the best place treatment is so good.Sending hugs to you all x

I have written an update on YEO today

All the washing now done and dried just the dreaded ironing to do now then back into suitcases until next holiday.

Oliver seems to have made himself comfy at Jims and has taken to sleeping on his coffee table all day he goes between both our bungalows to see what is best on offer for food I think,he is sitting just outside my back door at the minute deciding if he is coming in for his breakfast or to see what is on offer this morning.

Yesterday I went to the garden centre and bought some plants to refresh my hanging baskets they seem to have gone a wee bit straggly whilst I was away what a difference a week makes my neighbour was going to water them but I think she may have forgotten them for a few days,so just a little tlc needed and all will be back to normal.

                              Take care everyone talk soon.x
