Morning Nanto
l have done housework , walked the dog , had a shower and then me and Dog had Breakfast , Toast and Honey ,
Storm loves honey .
Need to go see to cats then the day is mine ,
like the sound of your menu today Nanto as I call it comfort food 😁
DD face timed from Mexico yesterday , she had fallen of the push bike they hired and split her knee open ,
Had to go to Hospital . They wanted to stitch it but after a bit of discussion they decided on Butterfly clips .
Cost her the equivalent of £4.50 . She’s ok just sore
Its a bit dreary at the minute and damp ,
As I was out before 6 walking the dog and it had rained during night my shoes were soaking and covered in wet grass
Dog loved it so many nice smells to sniff at , took us ages to get around he wanted to sniff every bush , lamp post , gate post on our route 😁
Have a good day ladies xxx

Good Monday morning, everyone. It's cool and dull here, and rain is forecast for later. I'm glad I did the lawn yesterday before we had a heavy downpour.
Yesterday we were sitting in the garden having a cup of tea after lunch when the heavens opened. It was a quick dash to cover the garden furniture, get a line full of washing in and put away various gardening tools I'd been using. Then OH remembered he'd left the large roof vent in the caravan open so he got even wetter going to close that. But at least I didn't have to water last night and the rain cleaned part of the patio up where pigeons had been having a poo party!!
The caravan looks lovely and clean and shiny now OH has washed it, but he had to move it slightly off the drive to get round it, and now we can't move it back! The battery didn't charge up for some reason, so it's stuck half in and half out of our drive (fortunately not on the road) so if it hasn't charged today we'll have to recruit a couple of strong neighbours to help us push it back.
I haven't done any painting for a while and still not finished the hare picture, but the niece I'm doing it for is coming to DS1's birthday party so I want to give it to her then. So if it's too wet to work in the garden I'll paint instead.
Oma poor DD cutting her knee - it must be very painful. I bet Storm loved all the smells so early in the morning. Eva is just the same - wants to sniff everything, but it's a way of socialising for them, so I let her - it's her walk! I was up before 7 and I thought that was early!
Nanto - I bet your windows look lovely now, and I hope you get a chance to relax and enjoy the sparkling view through them.
Plant - pleased to see your GD1's OH and baby H are better. There seem to be a lot of tummy bugs going round at the moment.
Glamm - I do hope your little GS isn't too poorly with chicken pox. I know everyone says it's good to let children get it then it's over and done with, but I remember my GS2 being really poorly with it, but GS1 and year later, GD1 were only mildly poorly. GD2 hasn't had it yet.
Gem - how was your mum yesterday?
Plant - your family know how to party. I'm sure everyone had a wonderful time. Did you sleep well afterwards?
Lizzie - how lovely that that blended family all get on so well. I remember a student as college who was one of 4 siblings. His parents divorced and both remarried and he ended up with 4 step-siblings and 4 half-siblings who all got on well. He said they had great family parties.
I'd better get a move on - I've not fully caught up with everyone, but hope you're all ok.

Good morning everyone.
Aww, poor DD Oma
I hope the caravan charges Daisy!
This morning I am going to help out at the library for a couple of hours, with book packing and labelling. Everything has to go elsewhere before the building work begins.
This afternoon our friends C and P are coming round for a catch up.
I hope everyone is well and this is the start of a good week for us all.“A grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.” – Unknown

Good very wet Morning,
What a change in the weather from yesterday the heavens opened and it just poured down in sheets from about 6am still raining now but not as hard.
I am off to Drs for 10.30 for diabetes check up so blood to be taken etc the Nurse is very good and I never feel the needle I'm just wondering how my weight has changed (if at all) the battery has gone in my bathroom scales and I keep forgetting to buy a replacement so haven't weighed myself for a while.
After Drs I am popping into Morrisons for fresh bread and a few bits I am using up the stuff I have in my freezers before I go away and start to restock when I come back.
My little GGS called me to say he was poorly (4yrs old) he said he was all spotty and if he came to my house he could breath on me and I would be all spotty tooMy DD has tried to get some camomile lotion to help with the itching but none is available anywhere.
Must dash and shower now so I smell good for the nurse

Glamm, no camomile? That is very odd, perhaps there is an alternative these days.
Oma, that sounds like a lovely sniffy walk with Storm. Sorry to hear of your DD’s accident.
Daisy, we didn’t get that rain but it wasn’t very bright here, don’t know what happened to that heat wave we were supposed to get.
GD 2 is making a dash home today to look after H for three days. GD1’s Mil who looks after her for 2 days is in hospital and my DD is away. H doesn’t know GD2 very well so I will make sure I am here to support her, I regret I cannot take the responsibility to look after her all day for three days. Her mother might decide to sleep here. When I pick GD2 up from the station we shall have to do a shop as the fridge next door is empty. All happening here, I hope she is okay with GD2 as she does’t know her very well and is a bit of a mummy’s girl atm.
Very dull here, not sure when we were supposed to have that heat wave. What is life if full of care we have no time to stand and stare

It's been really chilly here today - summer it is not! I just hope the rain forecast for tomorrow is enough to do the garden good, otherwise it needn't bother!
Plant - I do hope GD1's MIL is ok and soon home again. It's always a worry, isn't it. Looking after a toddler of H's age is jolly hard work, but between you and your GD2 I'm sure little H will be fine. There's never a dull moment in your family, is there. Don't overdo things though. You have to take care of y ourself as well. xx
Glamm - poor little GS. How sweet to ring you and explain he doesn't want to pass the chickenpox on to you. I've just Goggled Calamine lotion and came up with this, if it's any help for the poor little lad.

Mr Google also says Morrisons stock it.
I was tempted out into the garden today, despite the chilly weather, and potted on a large Agapanthus, plus a few other little jobs. I did a bit of ironing (not much though!) OH was sanding down a wooden garden table today - and didn't realise the back door was open. The kitchen was covered in dust. I took Eva our for a quick walk, but stopped to chat to a neighbour , so poor doggy was out for quite a while but didn't go far!
The ongoing work to install fibre to the property in our estate is making progress. One arm of the work is heading our way, but I'm not holding my breath as it's impossible to work out where they might dig next!
Gem - was it sad to see all the library books being packed away? How long before the new library is ready - I think you said October, but I can't find the post.
Oma - good luck for Clare tomorrow. I hope it all goes well for them - they must be excited, happy and terrified all at the same time. xx"Joy is what happens to us when we allow ourselves to recognise how good things really are. "

Glamma, I hope your GS's chickenpox clears up soon.
Plant, hopefully baby H will be ok with your GD.
Daisy, it wasn't sad to see the library packed away. It was quite exciting really. This was just the last of several temporary homes, and this a step towards the new library. Fingers crossed October, as you said.
It was quite a party atmosphere this morning! The librarian, me and 3 other volunteers, only one of whom I know as we are on the Friends committee together. There were biscuits and cake and chat and a few laughs, along with the work!
I have a day out with both GSs tomorrow so I'm hoping for no rain.
Good night everyone.

Good evening ladies! My computer is playing silly b****** at the moment and I couldn't find my password to log on via my tablet but I have now!
Don't know what the lady doing the massage did to me on Saturday but I haven't had any pain in my neck/shoulders since and I feel so much better. I'm booked in for reflexology in a couple of weeks so we 'ok see how I feel after thst.
Been and got hearing aids today. My goodness, the difference! Didn't realise my hearing was quite as bad as it was. Pick them up next Monday. Found a lovely dress for niece's wedding in July. Just need the accessories to go with it. GS got a new cricket bat. Hope he stops growing soon or he'll need another one before long.
Exciting about all these new babies!
I wish summer would hurry up and arrive,I'm fed up with this rain and cold!xxBelieve you can and you're halfway there.

Morning Nanto
it’s wet and dreary and cold here , I agree with WG roll on Summer .
Just had Storm out for his walk he’s had toast with Honey and a couple of treats so he’s now asleep again .
Not for long though we have to go see to cats and my Hair appointment is 9.30 .
Daisy Eva must have thought she takes me out then stands chatting for hours , look how many places I could have sniffed 🙄😁
Gem sounds like a nice afternoon even if it was work related 😁 Hope the rain holds off today.
Plant how is GD MIL have you heard yet ?
WG computers are great when they working 😁 sounds like a good result with your neck fingers crossed it stays that way ,
What colour is your dress ?
Lizzie did you get out for your walk or was it too cold .
Just rang Clare Shes all ready to go in but she’s nervous, because of COVID our Martin can’t go in till she’s in full labour so she’s had a few tears this morning , it’s understandable isn’t it .Im not fat just 6ft too small

Good morning everyone.
Roll on summer indeed Nan2!
Poor Clare, Oma. I hope the labour doesn't take too long to get going. Its rough not allowing partners in as induction can take a long time to get going
WG, I suffer a lot with neck and shoulder pain and am thinking of going to the massage lady who sorted OH's out.
I hope you are doing something nice for your birthday Daisy!
I have both GSs today. We are going to Piglets, which I put a link to on the GC thread last week. Hopefully they will have a good day. It would be nice to have some adult company too, but it is golf for OH.
Happy Tuesday ladies.“A grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.” – Unknown

Good morning everyone, and thank you for the lovely birthday wishes. Oh dear, another year on the clock!!!
I'm not sure what's happening today. If GD1 is ok I'll bring her, GD2 and Cooper over here for lunch, if she's not well enough to travel I'll go and spend some time with them. DS1 has an appointment with the Consultant today, so it's always an anxious wait to see what he says. OH is busy sanding and oiling garden furniture, and hopefully will be able to get the caravan moving. At the moment it's stuck half on and half off the drive because the battery didn't charge! Tonight we're going to our friends' A and M for dinner. They only live round the corner so we don't have to drive.
I've got a lovely pile of cards to open, but I'm waiting to open them with the girls.
WeeGranny - you sound as though the massage has made a huge difference, and I can identify with the new hearing aids - but aren't the birds noisy!!I'd love to see a picture of the dress for the wedding.
Oma - poor Clare having to go in on her own to be induced, although I remember OHs weren't allowed in when I was having DS2 until labour was established. I hope she starts fairly quickly. Let us know how she is, won't you.
Gem - a busy day for you, but I'm sure you will have a lovely day. I'm sure the boys will be excited. Don't overdo it with your knee, though.
Nanto - you know how to live it up - cleaning the loo and the back porch!
The sun's shining here and it's quite mild, but it's due to rain about lunch-time. Roll on summer, please.

GD2 arrived yesterday to look after Harriet, I think she is enjoying playing with her and H is full of fun this morning, she is amazing, she doesn’t really know her aunt but she is all smiles. GD1’s Mil usually has her today but she is in hospital and has refused visitors and wants to come home. I think she has an ongoing illness to do with her blood.
Oma, I am having a lot of pain from my neck and shoulders, I wonder if a massage would help. All those walks with Storm must be keeping you fit. I hope that baby comes quite soon.
