Was lovely to see Plant yesterday! I need to get some boxes emptied before I take a photo of my panelling though! I'm going to make that room my little snug. I'll can sit in there and watch the world go by and in Winter I can have the fire going!

Been a mixed bag of weather here today. Sun and rain and not very warm.

Daisy I think the classes in the village hall are mostly exercise classes, but I hope there will be an art class somewhere local that I can join. I do miss my painting! Thank you for your kind comments! Coffee and cake on Friday mornings so I think I shall pop along and meet the locals.

Oma, Clare looks blooming! Martin looks very proud!

Plant, you'll be pleased to know that I've found the battery for the vacuum cleaner. DD had put it in the bag with the tools thinking it was a good place for it, then forgotten herself! My carpet is still covered with gold stars which fell out of one of the 'packages'. I shall get round to cleaning it up eventually!

Hope everyone is well. Take care xx

Believe you can and you're halfway there.

Nanto - it was a better day than you expected. The grass is growing quickly now, isn't it!

Lizzie - we have been lucky with the weather, too. It was forecast to rain, but it's been warm and sunny this afternoon. I hope you don't have to change your sailing dates, but I'm sure you wouldn't miss your GD2's musical. Lovely to have a chat with a friend and then not have to go far to go home.

WeeGranny - it sounds as though you are settling in very well. The snug sounds perfect for cosy winter afternoons. Friday's coffee and cake sounds the perfect way to get to know your new neighbours and "nearbys". The gold stars sound rather pretty - are you sure you want to hoover them up?

I got a few jobs done in the garden this morning. After mowing the lawn I raked over the bare patches and reseeded the whole lawn. That took longer than I'd expected, and I ran out of time, so the herb box remains a job for tomorrow. The roads were very busy this afternoon and I was sitting in traffic jams going and coming home after dog training.

Gem - I hope your Mum was ok.

WG, I presume the panelling in the front room is original with the house, it will be a lovely snug with the fire lit. How old is your new home?

WG I agree with Daisy the gold stars sound lovely 😂😂
isn’t it always the same you put stuff somewhere safe then forget where that safe place is , at least you found the battery.

Daisy how did the knitting with GD go , did you make progress 😁

Nanto I would like to get some plants in but up our end it’s not safe from the odd spell of frost till at least end of May ,

B got second coat on today ,
SIL brought samples of flooring for the hall save us going to the shop , we chose one and he will fit it Monday after the plumber puts the new radiator on , The plumber is his friend so he will come over while plumber is at ours .

Have to go to MILs in the morning oh the joy 🙄

            Good morning ladies.Sun is shining.

I've been up since 4.30, love the early mornings.
Got a load of lights on the line, and done some quiet tidying up.
Mustn't disturb the neighbours too early.

Daisy, yes the grass does grow quickly.I don't mind cutting the grass though.
Its one of those jobs where i get self satisfaction.

Oma, the hall sounds to be coming along nicely. Soon be finished.
            Enjoy your visit to MIL.

Today would have been Dads 95th birthday.
            Sadly,it wasn't to be.

                Good morning everyone.
I am happy to see the return of a weak sunshine here!

Lizzie, I'm glad it was you with the sunshine yesterday!

The first birthday after losing someone is sad Nan2, but be thankful he had as many years as he did xx

I hope the tea goes well and MIL not such a pain Oma! You must be tired. It's sad that your dad died so young xx

I hope you find an art class locally WG, I'm sure you will once you are settled.

Mums review yesterday was good. They seem very happy with her. It was with Michelle the manger and Alison one of the senior carers, both of who I get on very well with.
Mum was fine when I went up to see her. Mostly a good visit with her, as long as I could steer her to the right topics, away from 'I'm not staying here but I don't know what to do next'! I am very used to this in all it's various forms now, but it's not easy.

This morning is OHs hospital appointment via Zoom. Then I am going into to town to meet DD3 for brunch. It is her birthday We are going to Brew and Brownie, where some of our members have been!
A library committee meeting at 1.30, which means I can't take the bus into town as I won't get back in time.

                Have a good Thursday everyone.

Good Thursday morning, everyone. It's a bit warmer here, but the sun is struggling to put in an appearance.

Oma - you must be tired after so little sleep! I hope your MIL is in a good mood, and happy with the meals you're taking her. How lovely to get the flooring sorted out so quickly. We keep putting off going carpet shopping. I hate it - so much choice and I never know where to start. The knitting session went well, thank you for asking. x

Oma and Nanto - I hope your memories are happy ones today. Neither dads would want you to be sad. xx

Gem - I'm so glad the review went well, and so did your visit. It must be very hard sometimes, when you have to steer conversations away from some topics you know will upset your Mum. I hope your OH's appointment goes well. Happy birthday to your DD3 - enjoy your brunch with her. Is she keeping well?

We were going to go carpet shopping today (see comment above!!!!), but the forecast is good, so I want to get on with outside jobs, while OH does some paperwork. We'll go carpet shopping tomorrow.

Good morning, dull at the moment here but sun expected later on, the streets are deserted, there are so many people having an extra long weekend, it is a bank holiday for some today to mark the end of the war.

Gem, the friend of mine always says she can put up with her room for the few months she will be there, so I just agree with her. Enjoy your lunch with DD3.

Oma, your father was young when he died.xxxx

Just chatting to DS1, love it in Gdansk, on their way home tomorrow.

Oma, you will be pleased when the hall is finished, what is the next job for B to tackle????

My legs feel like lead today, probably did too much yesterday

Weather a bit indifferent atm, dull looking but I hope it stays fine, I am hoping to go to bowls out side this afternoon, shopping for food this morning. the sun has just burst through.

Gemini, pleased the meeting went well, I expect you are now experienced to be able to fend off your mother’s questions about her leaving the home. Hope OH’s review goes well. Enjoy your brunch with DD3.

I hate choosing carpets and curtains, well anything really. The man who does my decorating usually takes over and never brings me too many colour charts.

Oma, I hope Mil is in sa good mood. You have no trouble choosing your carpets etc.

Daisy the sunshine has saved you from choosing carpets.

                        Good Morning Lovely Ladies,
I've caught up with everyones news what an interesting week everyone has had,the sun is shining through today so am just going to put out some bedding to line dry I have been Mrs Good Wife this morning and stripped the bed and put on fresh bedding.

Thanks Oma for reminding about the paint I'll go off to our local Wilco's today when DD arrives and we go shopping to our little town centre she is working from home at the forseeable future
so logs on of a morning and can take calls whilst she is out and about, talk about having a good job or what ? Whist we are out and about I am going to get my nails done then I will be ready for a new set just before my holiday a girl has got to have posh nails hasn't she

Plant those pics of my GGS are so good he is such a lovely boy he is the absolute double of his daddy my 2nd DGS those eyes just make your heart melt he attaches himself to my DDs partner and follows him everywhere,he starts school full time in September I am going to miss his little visits during the week he is busy over the weekend as he has joined the Tiny's Football team and karate with his sister who goes to dancing whilst he plays football their daddy makes sure they have lots of exercise he is a good hands on dad my GS.

Its a good job we are not going over to Liverpool as the famous Ferries are off today and the trains have been stopped due to an incident of some kind I just hope its not serious so if you needed to go to Town there is no way at all today even the Tunnel has problems, the only way over is over The Runcorn Bridge which is such a long way around as Daisy will know.

My eldest DS and DGD are due soon we are having lunch here before I go out with DD I love the two of them being here together it doesn't happen often they will have a catch up,its a shame DS2 cannot drop in aswell but he works such funny hours split shifts etc.

I've defiantly settled on Pale Lemon for my bedroom walls its a cool calming colour the curtains in there are Orche a sort of mustard yellow if that makes sense and the lamp shade is cream and gold so it should all come together nicely.

I going to put the kettle on and have a few minutes before my visitors start arriving so have a good day everyone x

                        xx glamma xx

Daisy I’m sure carpet shopping can wait for another day if the garden is calling 😁

MIL was in a good mood ,
moaned about her aches but that’s a normal conversation

Nice family day for you Glamma.

Oma, I'm glad MIL was in a better frame of mind!

All good with OHs appointment. Bloods all totally normal. Phew!
I had a lovely brunch with DD, then we sat in the park and chatted until it was time for us to go. Me to my meeting her to get ready for a massage. To me at 34 she is still that beautiful baby I gave birth to. I know we all feel that way about our sons and daughters! Baby was moving a lot when we sat in the park and DD invited me to feel. Very strong little kicks

OH has just returned from golf, so we will have a cuppa. Bye for now!

I have been messing all afternoon with my navigation for the car, maybe I don't use it often enough! I searched the web and read that I could reset it and it works again! I always have the iPhone maps but I like this. Apart from that I haven't done much today, got the washing dry and put away though. It all started with my Garmin navigation for the bike, I thought I had lost all my maps, why on earth do they keep changing their sites??? I got there in the end.

Daisy, what is that pan like that you bought???? I could order one whilst in the UK.

Gem, you would enjoy your time with DD3, they are always our babies however old they are!

Oma, pleased your MIL was in a good mood for a change.

Daisy, i don't mind carpet shopping.I usually know before we go what colour i want.
Hubby knows he's not much good at matching colours,so he leaves the final choice to me. He's learned.

Lizzie, good to hear the family have enjoyed Gdansk.

Glamma, always good when you finally decide on a colour for walls.

Been a lovely day weatherwise.Washing dried lovely.

This morning we went to visit hubby's sister and hubby.
We had a lovely couple of hours socialising. Getting quite used to having a bit of free time.
