Itching of any sort is terrible Plant. It gets you down. I hope they can sort that out really soon for you.

A trip to the UK would be good Lizzie.


This afternoon we are going to DD2's. A get together mainly so my mum could see everyone. Once she tested positive so can't come I gave DD the chance to back out. All 3 DDs said they still really wanted to do this, so we are. A buffet afternoon tea. Less work than a Sunday roast especially with half of them being vegetarian!
GD has a dance rehearsal for next weekend's show during the afternoon. SIL will take her there and see his mum whilst she's there then pick her up, so it works out well.


I hope everyone remembered to alter the clocks! Enjoy your day whatever you are up to.

Morning ladies
Happy Mother’s Day ,

up very early this morning the sun was bright even through blackout blind and heavy curtains , it comes in from the sides
Once I wake that’s it ,
Everything done , I washed my little rug I have in the downstairs loo over the tiles in the winter , it’s only a tiny one you can put in washer
I will put it away till the winter again ,
I now have all the towels in from our showers they should dry in no time today ,

We are going to our local Dobbies this morning look for new garden furniture ,
It has to be small as we don’t have a huge amount of space ,
I bought some new chairs last year but they were uncomfortable so I sold them .

I have been invited to have lunch with DS, Dil and GS3 and 4, they live about 20 mins away. I think I shall also be a consultant about their garden. My Dil tries hard to keep it colourful but has a very busy job.

So much for relaxing on Mothers day. I've been at it all morning.
Made 3 cottage pies,the freezer is now doing its thing with them.
The meat i got from the butcher is in the freezer, must admit i'm glad i didn't get more meat than i did.
Rearrange the frozen stuff in the freezer in the outhouse.
This is besides the usual housework.

DS1 called on his way to work with a card and flowers.
DS2 met us in town yesterday and gave me my presents and card.

Oma - I hope you find the perfect garden furniture. It's so good to have somewhere comfortable to sit in the sunshine. I'm looking forward to getting ours out on the new patio.

Nanto - I hope you're now relaxing after your busy morning.

Plant - Have a lovely lunch with DS and family. I'm sure you will be able to give them some good advice on their garden.

DS2 and family (minus Cooper) called round this morning with flowers, a card and a lovely box of delights the girls had put together - a pretty candle and holder, a little framed photo of OH and me, a miniature canvas painting created by GD2, cakes, chocolate unicorns made by GD1, a plant and a huge word search puzzle made by GD1. There was so much love and thought I felt quite tearful. DS1 phoned as well - we should have been with them, but of course couldn't go with OH not being well. I'm feeling very spoilt!

We're having a lazy day and I'm off out to enjoy the sunshine outside, in the summerhouse.

I had a calmer afternoon. Brother in law came,then one hubby's friends came, and at teatime another brother in law.
Our kettle hasn't been off today,and the biscuit box has hardly been closed.

Not forecast as nice today ,
Hope you all had a lovely day yesterday .
I have been up hours so pottered on and now having breakfast .
Dr this morning then go look for garden furniture ,
Didnt get yesterday by time family had been and we all had lunch , B took GS1 out in car to see how well he’s doing with his driving
B said he’s a Natural driver he thinks he is well ready for his test when he can get a slot .
I didn’t feel like going by time they went so just lazed around rest of day

Our garden furniture is now out for the summer, but I don't think that's why it rained!

What a lovely kitten Nan2!
Oma, hopefully the Dr will be able to help with the BP problem, if it's still high today.

Nothing on for me today. I had an appointment to have gel nails done for my holidays, but on Friday the lady tested positive for covid. She offered to rearrange but I daren't go any closer to my holidays. So nails by OH it will be. She doesn't do a bad job to be honest!

Happy Monday everyone. I hope we have no more members or family coming down with covid!!!

Too true Oma. We have those FFP2 masks, 2 boxes of them. They are the ones which protect the wearer not just others, and that is what we have been wearing for some time. We originally got them for flying, but since cases increased I bought a second box we wear them whenever we wear a mask.
