Gosh Gem that’s a long time , they must have been very worried

Plant I know what you mean about ironing board , I have a extra wide one it’s a ton weight and heavy just putting it up and down ,
    Hope SIL enjoys his retirement.

Lizzie how is the knee now , do you think you had been laying oddly ?

Glamm did you enjoy your brunch ,
Its good to get rid of stuff gives you room to buy more 😁

Daisy how is J doing with the painting is he finished yet , how you feeling tonight ?

went to Drs BP sky high , DR ringing in morning to discuss latest blood test results so nurse put a note on to get him to sort BP out too,

From there went to MILs I hadn’t even taken my shoes off and she said ,
I need my Duvet cover putting on and the bed making and while your up there I want the bedrooms hoovered ,
Ok but at least let me get in the door first 🙄
Did that and B put the bin out emptied her shredder .

Put some of the meals we made in the freezer and told her at least 3 times how to warm the curry as that’s what she wanted for tea ,
I finally got a marker pen out and put all the times on each meal so when she defrosts the others she knows what to do .

She then wanted me to go to Morrisons for Bacon although she is going shopping there tomorrow with Bs sister she apparently needed the Bacon now ,
So off we went got her Bacon ,

Came back then I had to go out again to take a load of books up the street to the hairdressers as she gives them to her hairdresser for the ladies mum who lives in sheltered housing and this lady shares them with other ladies .

Made sure there wasn’t anything else she wanted doing before we came home .

She has just rang , she really loved the curry and Apple Charlotte with custard so she was in a happy mood 😁

Gem, thank goodness your Mum seems to be making a good recovery.

Plant - I woke about 6 o'clock but decided it was far too early to get up, but then fell fast asleep again! OH and I can both sleep in. He's banished to the spare room while I am still testing positive so we don't even disturb each other, and Eva tends to wake up whenever either of us gets up. Best wishes to your SIL for his retirement. Has he got any plans - new hobbies or anything? What about your DD? Is she still working? How lovely to see baby H (we'll have to stop calling her "baby"!) up and on her feet. Don't you just love the look on their faces when they realise they're doing that clever, grown-up thing called walking!

A good hardware whop is a treasure. OH commented tonight that he needs some caulk so will go into the village in the morning - yes, our amazing hardware shop stocks it!

Glamm - what a good idea to have a sort out for items to go to Ukraine. One of the urgent needs our local help organisations have is for sturdy boxes to pack things into. One of our neighbours has collected over 100 so far, and counting. Henry sounds as though he's settled in really well, and I'm sure Oliver will grow to love him, perhaps not as much as your little GD does though. Ladies' Day at Aintree sounds very exciting - I'm sure your DD will look fantastic. I hope you enjoyed brunch in the sun, watching the boats going up and down the Mersey!

Oma - your GS1 looks so grown up, and I love the advice he gave to his young student. When does he take his test? ...

... (same post) Sorry, the internet went down so I posted so I didn't lose what I'd written!

Oma - I do hope they can sort out your BP. It does seem to have a mind of its own. Have you also told the doctor that you often don't sleep very well? Your MIL! You could write a book about her, but I'm glad she enjoyed the curry and apple charlotte.

Lizzie - I don't know if there's turps in paint or not. All I know is gloss is oil-based and emulsion is water-based, but I think all paint smells, some more than others. I don't mind the smell really, but it makes me sneeze! Glad your knee is better. Did you find a dress at TKMaxx?

Nanto your sunny little grahic will hopefully hold true for tomorrow as well.

It really was a lovely warm day today. I spent most of the day in the garden - working a bit then sitting and watching the grass grow! I want to get the rest of the pots planted out in the garden tomorrow and then decide what we need to fill the gaps.

We'll definitely have to get up early tomorrow for the Sainsburys delivery, so hopefully I'll get a good long day outside.

Night, night, everyone - sleep well.

Daisy not sure when his test is they hard to get at the moment but he’s doing well a confident driver ,
Yes Dr knows my problem sleeping but doesn’t really offer any advice

I buy Ever white gloss paint from Wilko it’s water based so has no smell , also being water based it doesn’t yellow ,
When do the glass panels come ?

MIL is getting more demanding these days ,
I don’t mind doing the jobs at all it’s the way she commands rather than asks
But that’s just her and we are used to it 😁

Good morning, Oma, my knee is better again thanks, it is a "bad" knee, they were talking about a new knee 10 years ago, more actually, but with the lipedema they rather wouldn't operate as it could take much longer to heal etc, that is why I started to go to the gym at the medical training centre here in the village, to get my leg muscle stronger, 12 years later they must be strong! If I kneel I get the pain or a wrong movement and I think that is what I did in bed.

You must have some patience Oma to contend with your MIL!

Daisy we are not allowed oil based paint for indoors and when the decorators were here the other week I saw they were using water based paint.

Plant, it is lovely to see a baby started to walk and explore things in life.

Glamm, your DD will enjoy her day at the races.

I didn't get the maxi dress, I tried a few on and decided they are not for me! I returned to my bike and a woman said to me "You are lucky, yours is still here", they had stolen hers, it was locked with an extra chain, a busy place and just gone! A new Ebike etc etc, I went on my shopping bike and if I go again it will go in a compound! It is so annoying.

              Good morning ladies.

I think they will need to change your BP meds Oma. Your MIL is as demanding as my mum used to be. More so in fact. At least she enjoys the meals!

It does sound as though are you are getting better Daisy. Hopefully you will test negative soon.

Maybe e bikes need a loud alarm fitted to deter those thieves Lizzie!

Usual Friday double school run and GC back here for tea for me, no other plans.
OH has a couple of hours gardening for the elderly gentlemen she works for occasionally.

              Happy Friday everyone.

Gem, they would get round that as well, they have trackers on but they soon remove them. They steal the batteries as well so we would have to take those with us, so annoying!

Got Dr ringing at 9 well they say 9 it could be anytime , what annoys me is if we were late we wouldn’t be seen but they can say 9 and I have had them ring two hours later

Good Morning ladies... another lovely sunny day her on The Wirral I was up nice and early with Henry he had now gone back to bed to finish his sleep in.

After completing the clearout of stuff I changed the bedding and before putting on the valance sheet I decided to hoover the bedroom its the only place I have carpet... I got out the hoover and I couldn't find the last piece of the pipe with the brush bit at the end so I could reach under the bed I have looked everywhere and no joy I have a stick hoover thing but I prefer this pull along hoover.I've even looked through my wardrobes with no luck I am definitely loosing my marbles.

Daisy we enjoyed our brunch DGD ate well leaving just a few chips its the only time she has chips as her mummy tends to cook a lot of noodle & rice dishes her being 1/2 Chinese she makes some lovely meals I wouldn't even think of,she never has any food waste which is good.

Off to Aldi this morning to do a big shop there are quite a few things need replacing in the store cupboard why does everything run out at once is beyond me.While I am over there I am going into B&Q to look at decorating ideas for my wetroom the part that is decorated is black and white with matching b/w shower curtain so have made the decision to change as its nearly 5yrs since it was first done I'm thinking of grey & lemon but that idea can change by the minute if I can't find the right shade of lemon.

Take care everyone and enjoy the sunshine xx glamma xx

                          Good morning, everyone.

Nanto - thank you for the reminder about the clocks - I didn't realise it was this week-end. I'm so looking forward to the lighter evenings - well worth losing an hour's sleep. Enjoy your fish and chips.

Glamm - I hope the bit of your hoover turns up - it's probably somewhere totally unexpected. Glad you enjoyed your brunch with your little GD. How lovely that she's growing up enjoying such a wide variety of foods. I had to smile - Henry going back to bed to finish his sleep! I'm sure whatever you choose for the wetroom it will look stunning - you come up with such creative schemes.

Oma - I hope the doctor rang on time! I mentioned about your sleep (or lack of it) as I remember reading somewhere that poor sleep patterns can affect your BP.

Lizzie - It's funny, when you try something on you just know it isn't for you, but what a shame - a maxi dress is very useful for the summer. Nothing's safe, is it. Those ebikes aren't cheap so I suppose they're a real temptation to anyone wanting to make a quick buck. We've had several attempted break-ins in our road recently, and a couple of evenings ago someone actually disturbed three men prowling round. She had the presence of mind to take a photo of them and their car and the police now have the number of it, but don't seem able to trace it. The police think they are after bikes and have said to beef up your security if you have bikes in your garage/shed. I can understand them saying that, but to me it's the wrong way round - we should be going after the would-be thieves not making our homes like Fort Knox!

Gem - have a good day , and enjoy tea with your GD and GS2. I bet your OH will find everything growing like mad in the gentlemen's garden with this lovely warm weather. Yes, thank you, I've finally tested negative this morning. I'm celebrating by going round next door for a quick coffee later on. Missy had her operation on Wednesday and came home yesterday. She's under sedation, but can manage a little tail wag. Keeping her occupied as she gets better is going to be hard work - she's a typical Spaniel - always on the go.

                            Dr rang at 9.30 .
My tests are still showing high went through it all again same questions same answers
Hadnt read the Hospital report so didn’t know what they had said 🙄

BP really high so I have to go for a face to face on Monday see what he can do
I did mention the lack of sleep and BP Daisy on my last review but nothing came of it .

Daisy so pleased your testing negative now , such a relief 👍 enjoy your coffee you will feel like you have escaped 😁
Hope Missy is ok , I take it Eva won’t be visiting till Missy is a little better xx

Glamm you just know that hoover bit will turn up when you have struggled without it and everything is done haha
I’m sure chips will be a treat to GD , when my children were young I worked in a Chinese restaurant, they made chips with some dishes but I remember the owners children hardly ever asked for them , they loved there noodles and rice though
Sweetcorn and noodle soup was a favourite of theirs .

Can you remember the carry on I had with getting the right shade of lemon for my kitchen Glamm some years ago ?
4 different shades and I still didn’t like it so B painted it white again 😂😂
                            Good luck with that x

Pleased to hear you are now free of Covid Daisy, it isn’t likely that your OH will have it now is it? Not sure what the incubation time is.

Glamm, it is so annoying when you can’t find something you know should be close to hand. Lovely to see the little ones eat well.

Oma, you seem to be going round and round with the medics about your BP, I hope they can get to the bottom of it soon. I am seeing my doctor next week regarding my BP readings I delivered last week. I hope she will also chase the dermatology dept. for me, I am still itching all over.

Lizzire, we have a lot of bike thefts here but we have very few E-bikes.

Oma - let's hope that the face to face with the doctor will help him to sort out your BP. It was nice to have coffee in the garden, and Missy was very relaxed in her crate. She's still under sedation for a couple of days. No, Eva didn't some with me, but she knows when Missy's crate is out in the garden.

Plant - I've been isolating from OH. We had workmen in when it started, so I just stayed in our bedroom, and OH was banished to the spare room. He hasn't shown any signs of it yet. Fingers crossed. I wonder what is causing the itchiness.
