    Good morning ladies ,
Been to our Shopping mall early ,

Lizzie the blind looks really good well done on the weight loss ,

Oh Gem so glad your aunt is ok you visiting , I think it will do her good to see someone different ,
Plus it will be nice to have little treats ,
Hope the emails etc get the solicitors and estate agents moving , keep pestering them xx

Daisy enjoy your coffee morning , you deserve it after all that gardening 😁
    L
Nanto poor you , my Sister has a heavy cold too , at least your test was negative ,

Keep warm and look after you for a change xx

WG I take it the win wasn’t enough to go live in a tax haven then 😁
Treat yourself even if it’s just lunch out 👍😂

Plant how are you today , is it today you see the nurse for your hand ?

It’s damp and cold here but not raining yet , I was going to wipe the window sills outside but it’s forecast rain about 3ish so leave for another day .

Like Daisy, I didn’t wake up until 9.15 so I shall have to report back later as I am expected down the hill to GD’s flat.

Nan2, good news about the offer, I hope all goes smoothly.
Oma, no response to either email I will be onto them tomorrow, but I have a busy day.
I'm so glad your back is less painful Glamma. Your GGD almost 6!!

Horrible dark rainy afternoon here. As we have had three lovely dry sunny days, this is not welcome!
We went to see my auntie, taking some daffodils and and an indoor picnic lunch, courtesy of M&S.
She was happy t0 see us and we stayed until 4pm. The sciatica is extremely painful right now and getting her down. I reminded her that 3 years ago she said the same as she is saying now, as in she won't get better. We and her DS and SIL had said she would but she didn't believe us. You did then and you will again I assured her!
It's terrible to be in a lot of pain and worse when you live alone. She can take Codeine once a day. That and the heated bag we bought her last time are the only things which help. This is the 4th week so I hope it improves soon.

Quiz tonight at 8pm, If it wasn't online I wouldn't be turning out again in this weather!

Well after 8 hours sleep last night I feel like a new woman! Shame the mirror tells me I'm still the same old one! Blitzed upstairs, tried to make sense of a letter from the tax man, did a washing and got it almost dry on the line and had a quick walk to get my steps in. Trying to be inspired by what I've got in the fridge for dinner, but not having much luck. It's not as if there's nothing there, it's just that I don't fancy any of it!!

Oma, sadly the win wasn't enough to see me heading off to a tax haven, but it was a very welcome surprise!

It must be the day for firing off emails. Having heard nothing from the solicitor who's doing all the probate stuff on OH's estate( that's a misnomer for a start!!), I've sent her one politely asking what's happening and another to the estate agent who was contacted a fortnight ago and hasn't got back to me. I spoke to the solicitor dealing with all the house stuff, so i didn't need to give him a wake up call! Nobody seems in a hurry to do anything these days do they?

Glamm, I think it must depend on which part of the country you live in if the NHS is wonderful or not. I have to say I'm not overly impressed it in this area. I had an appointment earlier this month, then another letter came, for same procedure, different department but in March. Phoned up to be told, first appointment cancelled as was a second, which I knew nothing about, so I should come to the March one. I asked why I had hadn't had a cancellation letter....did I want one I was asked. I just hope that I haven't gone down as a no show.

Hope your hand is OK Plant and that your cold is no worse Nanto.

                  Take care everyone xx

WG. well done on the win.

Plant, that must have been annoying, losing the post.

Oma, yes it was quick. But as we all know, when it comes to buying/selling houses, things can go belly up at the 11th hour.

Gem, glad your Auntie enjoyed the visit.
Good luck for the quiz tonight.
Been a dark and wet day here as well Gem.

All hope all goes with no hitches for you and for them

I came 2nd in the quiz - but there were only 5 of us!

By the time we left home the rain had stopped, and 6 of us enjoyed our walk into the village. We had a good old chat over our coffees, and it was lovely that a new lady in our close joined us today. OH made us a sandwich for lunch when I got back, and later on fixed the drip in the kitchen tap that has been driving me mad. by the time I was ready to take Eva out the rain had started again, and we both got wet.

Glamm - I'm pleased to hear you're feeling better. Your family are very helpful - even if your 18 GS year old still has some gardening skills to learn. I read the sentence about your GGDs's birthday twice - hard to believe that she's going to be 6!

Nanto - good news about an offer on the house. I hope you're soon feeling better - be kind to yourself. xx

Gem - how frustrating that you have got to keep chasing everybody like that. Your auntie sounds a bit fed up with the sciatica (don't blame her) but I'm sure you helped to cheer her up a bit. Well done on second place in the quiz.

WeeGranny - thank goodness you got a good night last night. It makes such a difference, doesn't it. What a nuisance that probate is taking so long. It's very frustrating.

Gem 2nd is way better than I would do , even with 5 people I would come 6th 😂

We both up , I can’t sleep and B has leg pain bad tonight .
Its there all the time due to nerve damage but some days and nights are worse than others ,

just sat in the dark watching two cats sitting under the lamp , I’m sure they having a chat ,
They keep turning to look at each other then looking away , can imagine them talking about the neighbours 😂😂😂

I think i'm going to get a towel wash on,while the weather looks decent.

Gem, well done for coming 2nd in the quiz.

Good morning, everyone. It's raining here, so make the most of the sun if you have it!

I'm out for the day - OH has promised to go and see someone and it's a long drive so I'm going with him. Eva is having a play day with Missy next door. I'll try and pop in later. xx
