Morning Nanto / Ladies .
Nanto how are you feeling today ? A bit strange I bet xx
WG something similar here , B got a text saying he had a scan at the drop in centre the next morning , he knew nothing about it as the scan wasn't for another two weeks
Couldn't get through to them to query it so just went and sure enough they had canceled his other scan and brought it forward ,
A week later he received the letter telling him the scan was canceled and another would be sent out ,
A bit late he already had the scan ,
If they hadn't text him the night before he would have missed it .
Off to MILs this morning , collect her meds from chemist on the way ,
She is adamant she doesn't want them delivered but going to tell her she must as what if we cant get one week or we are away ,
Now SIL has moved she hasn't got her to run around after her ,
What if Dr gives her some she has to have straight away , we can't always drop everything and go over ,
Why she is against having them delivered we don't know
Have a good day ladies xxx

Good morning everyone. We've had rain overnight and it looks gloomy today. We were hoping to prune the apple trees today, but it's too wet to get ladders on the garden - they'd sink without trace.
Nanto - I like the idea of springing into a new day. I'd love to be the sort of person who leaps out of bed, dives into the shower and is all fired up and ready to go!
WeeGranny - nice to have a tax rebate and it's a lovely idea to plant a tree or shrub in your new garden in memory of your OH. xx
Isn't it frustrating about appointments being changed, cancelled or made with incorrect paperwork. I find it very frustrating - it's not rocket science and just smacks of inefficiency and lack of co-ordination. It makes you wonder how many of the "no shows" hospitals get are actually caused by poor admin.
Oma - perhaps your MIL wants you to collect her prescriptions as a way of making sure she sees you? Otherwise perhaps she is just resisting change of any sort. Or maybe she doesn't want strangers coming to her door. Whatever it is, you're right. She can't always expect you to drop everything to go and collect them for you.
Our chemists texts to say prescriptions are ready for collection, but OH gave them my mobile number, so I get his notifications. He was out when the last one arrived and I forgot to tell him for 3 days. Fortunately it was over a week-end anyway, and it wasn't urgent. He's still hesitant to use his own phone!
Glamm - I hope everything went ok with your eye yesterday. xx

Oma, my MiL was the same about prescriptions. The girl who worked in the chemist's lived next door and knew what medication she was on, but MiL didn't want her knowing!!! Instead she relied on a neighbour who was always out and in and neither OH nor I trusted!
Hazy sun today, but am heading into town to get cheque in the bank! Think I'll catch the bus and save myself the drive.
Have a good day ladies whatever you're up to. xBelieve you can and you're halfway there.

Good Morning lovely ladies,I can report that I don't have to go for any more injections to my eye the eye test & scan done showed that the sight had improved dramatically form the first appointment last year so I am very pleased with the result,my appointment was at 2.50pm and I was out done and dusted by 3.30pm.
Nan2 I hope you had a good relaxing sleep last night and can go forward today and care for yourself if the weather is nice enough take yourself out for a meal treat.
WG how lovely for a tax refund and what a super idea for a tree in memory, I have a cherry tree in my garden which I planted nearly 2 summers ago for my J it is coming along slowly.
I am going to choose paint for my bedroom this week-end I have decided to carry on with my decorating after having a well earned rest after doing the lounge and kitchen a few months ago I just need to decide what colour I am thinking of pale yellow/pale green/light grey all will match all my bedding sets and curtains thing is when I go to B&Q I end up buying all sorts similar to Oma and Ikea lol.
Usually on Thursday's my eldest son comes to visit with my little DGD Willow (3) and we have been going to a local Bistro at the bottom of my Rd for breakfast but just had a call to say she has a poorly tummy DS thinks she may have ate something in nursery yesterday that didn't agree with her its strange for her to be poorly from food as she eat's anything she is given poor little girl.
I think I may go to B&Q today then instead that could be a plan.
Going now to decide what to do now i have a free day to myself.
Take care everyone xx glammaKeep Calm,You're Fabulous

Oma, I don’t think you will ever win with your Mil but she must see that you are not always there. My sister had a lovely relationship with the young man who delivered her drugs and he cried when he heard she was dying.
What a positive person you must be Nanto. Love the graphic, it is certainly a new day for you and the family.
I don’t know what is going on with hospital appts. So far mine have been fine. Seeing my doctor today about the psoriasis, I do think the original large patch is very slightly fading. Didn’t wake up today until 9.45, lovely and sunny here. I am tempted to get the sucker upper out today but perhaps not.
What a lovely idea WG to use that tax rebate to plant a tree in the garden of your new home. What is life if full of care we have no time to stand and stare

Good morning again
Nan2, it will take a while to adjust to the new normal. When all is sorted at your FIL's house you will have more time to yourself.
Oma, just insist MIL has the prescription delivered. We had a lot of nonsense of that type from my mum over the years ! I think part of it is the fear of losing all control of their affairs, but also just awkwardness! As you say if for any reason you and B can't collect it where would she be?
Planting a tree or shrub is a lovely idea WG,
Glamma, really good news about your eyes. Well done!
Hair trimmed, next appointment booked for 6 weeks instead of 8, so we are in safe time before covid testing for Florida!
I am meeting DDs 1 and 2 for lunch, and to discuss Florida plans (can you see a theme here? )
Then on to visit my mum. DD3 is coming too. No one but me has visited her this year so it will be nice for her to see someone else.
I hope all are well and have good day. Sunny here, but windy!“A grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.” – Unknown

Well got to Chemist no meds there ,
So get to MILs , she had only gone and changed it to the chemist at the Drs so Bs other sister could pick it up while there ,
No telling us ,
To say I was a bit pee’d off is a understatement
Anyway I managed to get her to think about getting them delivered , she said she would think about it and ring us later ,
I think because I wasn’t happy she thought she had better think about it .
I was annoyed as what if we had gone over just to pick them up and had other plans it would have wasted our time .
Apart from that she was fine and in a good mood
Glamm good news about your eyes you must be so relieved
good luck in choosing paint xx
Daisy it’s a sunny day here but bitter cold
WG sometimes it’s easier to get the bus than look for parking isn’t it ,will you have lunch out while your there ?
Gem hope your Mum is well I’m sure she will love seeing DD3
Plant hope the Dr can give you something else for the psoriasis you must be fed up with it now xxIm not fat just 6ft too small

Oh, Oma, you could write a book about your MIL! I hope she sees the sense of getting them delivered.
I can never decide whether it's being awkward for the sake of it, or whether changing things (anything) makes them feel out of control, or just can't understand that change can be for the better!
Gelmm - that's such good news about your eyes. You must be pleased and relieved. All the better for choosing colours for your bedroom! Have fun in B&Q. I do hope little Willow is soon better. You feel so sorry for them when they're poorly.
Gem - you're certainly planning ahead ready for Florida. I'm sure both DD1 and 2 will be as excited as you are. It will be a nice treat for your Mum to see DD3 this afternoon.
Plant - I'm glad your hospital appointments are not being cancelled or changed around (fingers crossed!) I do hope the psoriasis is fading. It seems to be one of those things that comes and goes for no particular reason.
I'm just doing the Sainsbury order for tomorrow. I cut OH's hair this morning. It's not a big job, (haha) but seems to take me ages. Anyway, he looks a bit less scruffy now, and has gone out to the shed to work on the segmented bowl I mentioned a few days ago.
I need to do some ironing this afternoon.

Hallo everyone, I have had a cleaning day! Well morning, I got the windows done outside as storm Corrie made a mess of them! This afternoon I went on the bike for my eggs and bought tulips on my way home.
Very busy on here today so a lot to catch up on, I have a physio appointment at 9pm so I have the time.
Nanto, you will both get time to relax now. Your lives will seem empty for a long time though.xxx
Oma, a lady at the coffee morning is always awkward, she has her knitting with her and there was a young school girl helping, she was showing her how to knit but the girl was left handed, I was sat opposite and saw how difficult it was for her so I got up to help, I thought, I stood behind her and held her needles etc, just as the lady from the office came in and took a photo, she asked if she could put it in the monthly news, the lady said "NO, I was showing her how to do it!!!" The lady from the office phoned yesterday and I thought she was going to tell me about it, I told her and she said "oh, she does nothing but complain, we are used to it"! It is strange when you get to that age that you still have to complain all the time. Your MIL will be like that. She likes you running after her but, as you say, if you can't get for the medicine she won't get it. Sorry, just read your new posting, you wouldn't be very pleased with your MIL!!!
WeeGranny, what a good idea to get a shrub or tree for in your new garden.
Glamm, you will be pleased with the results of your eyes.
Gem, you would all enjoy planning the holiday!!! I hope the visit to your mum went well.
