Good morning everyone.
Friday again already!
Nan2, staying inside in the warm sounds a very good idea. Very cold and frosty where I am.
GD and GS2 to collect from their schools later. SIL will be picking them up after tea as DD is going to London with two friends for the birthday of one of them.
We are eating out tonight, at friends who live nearby.

Oma, we never go to shops for opening, how quiet is it?
My friend and ex neighbour goes out to his local Co Op every Saturday for his newspaper and fresh bread (everything else on Tesco delivery) He is in the vulnerable group so started to go for 6 am opening during the pandemic. He still goes at that time as it's become a habit! He says there are usually couple of others in at that time.“A grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.” – Unknown

Good morning, a cold wind this morning. Gem, I love going to the shops early, this is nothing to do with Covid, I have always done it. The same with the gym, I really don't have to be there at 6-30am, I went later the other morning, the people that are usually there with me were just leaving, they asked why I was late!
Enjoy your time with the grandchildren. When is half term in the UK?

Back from having a stick poked down my throat and up my nose, now I am confined to barracks, even from next door. I am sure I can find things to amuse myself with, even dusting.
I don’t think I have ever been in a shop that early Oma and Lizzie. I had to set two alarms to make sure I woke up early this morning.
Lovely sunset this morning and I saw a bumble bee on my Winter Clematis yesterday. What is life if full of care we have no time to stand and stare

Good Friday morning everyone. It was very frosty first thing, but the sun is out now. It's due to cloud over later, and I really hope it will get a bit warmer!
I've just put the shopping away - I think it's early having it delivered at 8.30!! Although years ago when I was working long hours I often used to shop early on a Saturday morning to get it over and done with.
Lizzie our half-term is the week after next, but it may vary round the country. I think it's this coming week in some places. You must wake up quite early to be at the gym at 6.30! It is far away?
Gem - have a nice 'after school' with Dd and GS2, and a good evening with your friends. Yes, staying in the warmth today sounds a good idea, although I'll have to take Eva out sometime.
Plant - I'm sure you will be negative, but fingers crossed anyway.
Oma - it's our bins collection today and OH went out with the black sack and the recycling bag, then realised he hadn't emptied the recycling bin in the kitchen so had to go out a second time in the cold!!
Nanto - feet up and relaxing with a hot drink, I hope. A lovely cheery graphic to make us think of summer. x

Oma - does the cold affect your hip? Don't over do it today - no kneeling on the floor to scrub it!
I feel quite smug if I get up and out early, but it's such an effort. I like to greet the day gently and slowly!
Lizzie - I have to take my hat off to the man who walks 5km just to get to the gym. He must be very fit.

My Hip is fine it comes and goes and yes the cold makes it worse some days ,
Can have no trouble for weeks then it plays up ,
Lizzie my brother was like that man super fit for his age , till COVID hit sadly , good for him keeping himself going ,
Handy to have the gym so close ,
Gem that holiday will be here before you know it , it’s taken a long time to finally get there 😁
Daisy I did the same when I was working , I worked in a Supermarket and we could go in early get our shopping and keep it in the warehouse and cold room till we finished work then the warehouse manager would bring it out for us , very handy ,
I don’t know if they still do things like that now , Probably Health and safety would have rules preventing itIm not fat just 6ft too small
