Well, look at me, it is only 9.15 and I am on here! My bedroom electric clock was an hour fast! How can an electric clock do that. I felt really tired and didn’t want to leave my bed. I am going to have a word with it later. I am not sure whether to go to bowls this afternoon, my hand is a bit painful and I keep knocking it. Jack Frost has been overnight, when I came back from my friend’s house yesterday afternoon, they were gritting the roads.

Gemini, I hope your mum is up to signing the document so the sale can be completed.

Mimi, lovely to hear from you. The fancy dress party sounds like fun, can you send a pic.

Lizzie, I hope you make your visit to the UK this year, you are so adventurous.

Nanto, egg and chips mmmm. do you dip the chips in the egg yolk?

Daisy, I hope your plants didn’t get too cold, I wonder who left the door open, was it Eva?

What is life if full of care we have no time to stand and stare

Plant, yes we do dip the chips in the yolk.
If we have eggs, they have to have a runny yolk, unless its scrambled egg.
Very rare we have that though.

Daisy, hope you had a good meet up with your friends.

Gem, good luck for the mammogram.
Has your mum managed to sign?

Gem are you back yet how did it go ?

We don’t eat a lot of eggs but the other night I had boiled eggs and soldiers for tea ,
Didnt fancy anything else and I really enjoyed them , I had bought 6 extra large ones very nice

Got the leaves up with the leaf Blower / sucker upper , I also cleared them out of the two little borders and raked the top of the soil to air it ,
some bulbs are poking through and I can’t remember what I planted where so have to wait see what comes up ,

I must say my Cyclamen have thrived even when the snow flattened them they stood back up .

Going to have a chicken salad for tea , B having sticky chicken wings with chips and onion rings , not my taste but he likes them .

DD has finally had a negative test today , if has one tomorrow she’s free to leave the house ,

Clare sent me a scan photo today , baby is 20 weeks and doing great

Nan2 Mum signed ( impressively well actually as she can barely see)
The rest of the visit was awful. She was very down and negative and wouldn't be shaken out of it. At lunchtime she sent her lovely chicken casserole away untasted, they made her a chicken sandwich which she took one bite of and declared tastless!
Even DD's scan picture only cheered her up briefly!
At least I got her two signatures, and the manager witnessed the one which needed witnessing .

Mammogram went OK. I followed Oma's no bra tip.
If all is well that is the last of my five annual mammograms.

Phew that's a relief about Clare's scan Oma 😊 The 20 week scan is the one where a lot of serious problems can be detected. Good news about your DD's negative result too.

          I think I need a large G&T tonight!

Gem good you got her to sign , Why do you think your mum wasn’t in a good mood was she maybe tired ?
Makes things easier without your bra doesn’t it as everything more relaxed and supple 😁

She said she was tired Oma yes. She's not a morning person. I wouldn't normally choose to visit her in a morning, but due to my mammogram appointment this afternoon I had to, or it would have been the weekend before I saw her.

Sad to hear your mum was down today, but at least you got her signatures.

Oma, good news with Clares scan.

Sorry folks - every time I tried to get back on here something distracted me - phone, doorbell, OH, Eva! It's been one of those days where I've been busy without achieving anything. We had a nice morning with our friendsG and I put the world to rights, I got lots of cuddles from their Cavalier King Charles and OH and R did wood-turning stuff.

I've read everyone's posts today, but I'm just off to bed - an early start again tomorrow, with Sainsbury's between 8 and 9 and a new mattress arriving for our bed between 8 and 12! I meant to clean our bedroom properly today but ran out of time. That's my first job for tomorrow!

I was the culprit with the summerhouse door being left open. I went in for something and left it open to air, then it was dark when I got back from dog training and didn't notice I hadn't closed it!

You'd be surprised, Gem!!! And Eva's done her share of bad behaviour over the years, bless her.

Oma - wonderful news about Clare's 20-week scan.

Gem - so glad your Mum signed ok. It sounds as though she did really well. Perhaps her being down in the dumps was because it was morning, when she normally sees you in the afternoon. I'm sure she'll be ok next time you visit.

Lizzie - you're not allowed to smile on a UK passport photo, so perhaps you were just being very British. xx

                  Night, night everyone. xx

                      Good morning ladies.

Daisy, I have those busy days when I keep meaning to get back here - then when I do I am too tired to write much! Early start for you today.

Nan2 you may have nothing to report, but it's very cheery Good Morning

We are having a free day out! Or as near to free as can be really. We are taking the ( free with our bus passes) bus into town. Than having breakfast/brunch out with a voucher we were bought. We may have to pay something there. I have booked us into the art gallery next, which is free unless you see the latest exhibition. As it is £8 each we decided not to see it. There is such a lot to see apart from that bit.
Our solicitors are in the centre of town so we shall be dropping off the revised papers, now signed by my mum. Bus back home in time for me to get into my car and do the school runs! Yesterday was quite a stressful one for me, so it's good to have this today

I hope everyone else has a good day. Friday again already!

Gem with luck now that Mums signed the forms there will be no more set backs ,
I do hope your Mammogram is clear then it will go back to 3 yearly , well the next one , once you hit 70 you have to request them yourself don't you .

Had a text to say my Breakfast bar stools will be delivered today sometime

How are we all ? hope everyone is well xxx

Gem our posts crossed , Have a lovely relaxing day you need it xxx

Good morning, Daisy, you are allowed to smile for a British passport photo, if it is natural, I got mine done a while ago and it said I could do a natural smile. `'' Can I smile in my passport photo? Yes, but it must be a natural, unexaggerated smile. Both your eyes must be open." The Dutch ones I don't think allow us to smile though.

Oh dear, so you were the quilty one with the door being left open!!

It is still foggy here, I do hope it clears today. I want to get out for a walk or a bike ride, who knows, after this evening we may be allowed to do more, I see so many shops are opening in protest of the rules, I noticed a few here in the village were open yesterday.

Gem, you need a relaxing day after yesterday, when do you get the results of your mammogram?

Oma, I hope your stools are nice when they arrive, have you seen them before ordering?

Yes I did Lizzie in Store but they didn’t have any in stock , just what was on display so had to order them for delivery ,
It was free delivery so didn’t mind .

When we had our Passport photos done a few years ago we couldn’t smile had to pull my fringe out of my eyes and B had to take his glasses off
Well he’s blind without them so didn’t know where he was looking , the girl taking them parted my fringe ,
The photos look hideous, We look like we are on the run , nothing like us at all ,

Gemin, that sounds like s lovely day out for you and S. You must have felt very tense and upset having to get your mum to sign those documents. I do hope the sale will now progress to a completion soon.

Oma, I hope you are pleased with your breakfast bar stools when they arrive.

Lizzie, I am not at all surprised that some shops are opening in protest, they need to survive.

Nanto, Lovely graphic, have a good day, hope dad is well and cheerful.

Daisy, I could do with a smaller bed but csan’t make the effort to go and look for one.

After I posted on here yesterday, I felt very unwell and started being sick, I felt very faint. Sil was next door but he was working so I phoned my son and he came and sat with me for some time. It was the feeling faint that really worried me. Sat in a chair watching the television for the rest of the day. Feeling almost fine today, just a bit delicate. We did a test just in case, although sickness is not a usual symptom. Lovely frosty, sunny morning. I could do with some fresh air.
