Good morning Lizzie, Nan2 and everyone else.
The last good morning of this year!

Daisy I sometimes think of making puds for NYE, but that's as far as it gets! We have Christmas cake , almost a whole chocolate panettone , and an unopened tub of Cadbury's Heroes bought for this purpose, so those will do I hope the doggy walk goes well.
Have a nice family lunch Lizzie. Yes I do remember the (phone eating!) dog.

We have no plans today, apart from the party tonight.
Guests come around seven, so that there is plenty of time to settle in with drinks and nibbles, peruse the takeaway menus then phone in our orders. We will be eating at the new table of course. We spend most of the night there really, as it is where we play the board games. There will be nine of us tonight.

Good morning everyone on the last day of 2021. It's still dark here and very wet. But an unbelievable 12C!

Lizzie - how nice to be taking clothes in - you've done so well with your weight loss programme. I don't think Eva would ever win any certificates for training, but we've worked hard on a number of things, and she is much more relaxed and I hope, happy now.

Nanto - that's a bit how I feel this morning - yawn!! I hope Dad's ok. Does this dreary weather bother him?

Gem - Our little group share the cooking for NYE. The host does the main course and the rest do starters and puds. We invariably eat far too much though, but it's our little tradition and we treasure it more and more as the years go by. Your guests sound like a jolly crowd - I do hope you have a great time.

Good Last 2021 Morning everyone,
Tonight I will spend it at home with a few nice treats I have never been one to celebrate the NY we have always had a quiet one I do think that the neighbour 2 doors down will be having a rather loud party as he has said he has bought fireworks to celebrate with his family so maybe not an early night for us here if its like the noise on 5th November.

Thanks for the concern about my daughter on FB,she fainted outside Tesco's near her house on Wednesday night after she got off the bus from work she has badly bruised her knee's arm and face and shook herself up badly I'm so glad she was with my GD or she would have been whisked away to A&E for goodness knows how long.Today she has been taken to Liverpool to stay with her partner Graham who will look after her and spoil her,they where going to have family in for NY's eve he may cancel it if she doesn't feel up to it,she has signed herself off work until at least next Tuesday.

The sun is shining here this morning and it is warm outside very different to yesterday when the wind was really strong and a slight covering of frost on the ground lots of people out walking though down on the Prom families out with their dogs and little ones learning to ride bikes it brought back fond memories of us teaching ours to ride bikes.

Off now to shower and change in case anyone calls in today so will pop back later x

Your are right Jane, the weather is very depressing, I am going to put on some happy loud music to cheer myself up. We are promised some sunshine to come.

Gemini and Daisy, have a lovely time, seeing in the New Year. I do not intend to stay up but I expect I will be kept awake by fireworks.

Plant yes her knee's are a right mess it doesn't help matters that she suffers from problems on her left knee cap after breaking it when she was on a school skiing trip yrs ago,I have told her she needs to slow down a wee bit and rest up for a week she is always on the go fussing about her family and they are all grown up but still expect her to run after them but she enjoy's doing it such a good mum x

Afternoon ladies , I am late today ,
I have never stopped since getting up ,
We went to The range for 9am to get some new cushion inserts as when i took the covers off to wash this morning they were rather flat ,
Got them then went to Aldi for salad stuff ,
From there we went to MILs , came home had lunch ,

We then set too taking all the decorations down wrapping in bubble wrap and boxing up
Heaved all them into the loft .
I then set too and I cleaned all the windows inside and all the mirrors ,
washed all the paintwork right through downstairs
Hoovered , dusted the light fittings , then put all the furniture back in place and ornaments back ,
Cleaned Utility and downstairs loo along with all the tiles

I am now officially pooped

I still have the kitchen units to clean but they will have to wait till tomorrow i really cant do another thing

I managed to get my pies done before i went to dads.
He's ok. Likes to have a moan now and again.

DS1 and GD2 came for dinner today,so we had fish and chips.

Had a good deal of sunshine today.

Well start of new year going well ,
just pulled blinds down as I had rolled them up to clean patio windows , the Blind and a chunk of the wall come down with them

B going to have to plaster it up again ,then paint before we can put them back up

Oma, You don’t know your own strength, poor B you do make work for him. I was a bit concerned that we hadn’t heard from you earlier, now I know why.
I am on my own for New Year Oma, DD and Sil have gone away for a few days to Wales with friends. I am going to DS and Dil on Sunday and staying the night there.
