Clover - I'm so sorry DS2 has tested positive. Fingers crossed you and DS1 will be in the clear. I'm delighted to hear your GD is back at Uni and I'm sure she'll love sharing a house with friends. I hope they've found somewhere nice.

Oma - how lovely to see a photo of GS2 and GD. GS2 is the image of you! They are both growing up so fast.

WeeGranny - I'm glad your computer perked up again.

You'll be in my thoughts tomorrow. I can imagine your emotions must be very close to the surface, and I do hope everything tomorrow goes as well as these things can. I'm pleased you DB is there with you - am I right in thinking he has to go back home on Christmas Eve? Sending love and hugs. xxx

            Good morning everyone.

Thinking of WG and her family today.
Clover, I am sorry that your DS tested positive and I hope no one else does.
Lovey photos of your lovely GC Oma. I'm so glad they came to see you.
Lizzie how do you feel today after the dry needling?

The library event yesterday afternoon was busy, but not too busy. All the families really appreciated it, and I had a lovely afternoon.
Home for quick sandwich and bowl of soup and it was time to get ready for the panto. OH kindly dropped GS1 and I off and collected us at the end. We loved the panto, especially GS who is the perfect pantomime audience member We got soaked walking back to the car park where DD was parked and OH met us. It all felt very safe at the theatre and the covid pass scanning went smoothly. A good night was had by all.

Tonight we are going round to exchange Christmas presents with DD and SIL 3 and spend some time with them.
We may pop to M&S food hall today, but if it looks too crowded we won't. There is not much we can't do without really.
I will make some mince pies today as well, so an easy day today.

            Take care everyone.

Gem - I'm so glad your panto outing went so smoothly. I know how much you enjoy it and I'm so pleased DS1 seems to have inherited your love of theatre. The library session sounds fun and well worth doing.

Clover - how is your DS2 - I hope he's not too poorly with Covid.

Nanto - it's lovely to have your hair done just before Christmas. Will the trip to Asda be your last before Christmas?

My OH is on present-wrapping duty today. I will finish off a bit of baking I didn't get done yesterday. Yesterday OH got all creative with decorations for the dining room - he made 'chandeliers' out of silver baubles, foil snowflakes and red ribbons. The look really festive but took quite a while, including some help from the assistant decorator. But the baking shouldn't take too long, then run the sucky up thing round and we're all ready. I'm sure there will be things I've forgotten, but we'll survive without them. I'm so looking forward to having the family together.

I hope everyone has a good day. I'll pop back later.

Good Morning ladies... I've been up bright & early this morning at 6am I'm waiting for DDs partner to drop off the meat order for me as I am on chef duties tomorrow for the meats to be cooked, how I fell for that I just don't know but it will save DD loads of time as she doesn't finish work until 4pm tomorrow.
I went to Aldi yesterday afternoon for salad stuff all really good dates so very pleased.
Picked up the chicken livers for the pate and made it last night what a job finding a butcher who had them one young man in one of the butchers did not have a clue what I was asking for he had never heard of them before.

Sending special thoughts to WG X

Oma so glad B's results are negative but flu makes you so miserable doesn't it I was like that a couple of weeks ago and felt dreadful I was convinced it was Covid, hopefully he will be fine for the big day x

To-day I am having a visit from my eldest boy and DGD so looking forward to that this is really the first year she will understand what xmas is last week she was excited at all the things she was involved with at nursery so she will be telling me about her nativity play where she was an angel
DS said she was very good and kept still when needed which is a fete in itself.

Have a pleasant day and remember to sit and take a breather every so often x

Good morning, Gem, so pleased you all enjoyed the pantomime , my shoulder feels fine now but I did feel the pain during the night, if it helps I don't mind though.

I have just got a parcel ready to take to the depot and my printer decided to do its own thing, I have sorted that out and it is working again.

It isn't as cold as it was yesterday, in fact I think it is raining.

I will go to the depot and then that is on the way!

I should be going to the hairdresser today, but, she phoned yesterday and asked if she could come here tomorrow so I said that was fine.

Good morning, a very wet and dreary day here. I’ve been busy, over to DDs early to pick up my Asda shop, I was surprised that we had no substitutions luckily. Steam cleaned all the floors and iced the Christmas cake. Just enjoying a coffee before I go to doctors for my blood test following my appointment last week. Then that’s it, I can relax. I just have a trifle to make, special request from DGS, Will do,that tomorrow afternoon then put the cream onChristmas day morning.

I plan to put my feet up, watch a film and get on with my crochet this afternoon.

Have a good day everyone. 🎄

                              How is B's cough Oma?
Your little GD will love Christmas Glamma
The Christmas chandeliers sound lovely Daisy!
I hope Asda wasn't too busy Nan2. The roads around here are SO busy today!

We went to M&S and it wasn't nearly as busy in there as we expected, despite so much traffic about. We bought a last few things from the food hall and OH bought a new bra. We went to my mum's house to check on everything and picked up a card left for her by a neighbour.

Mince pie making for me next.
