Forgot to tell you all .
Last night my landline rang ,
When i answered a young lady said hello Paula ? I said sorry you have the wrong number and she started to laugh and said yes right ,
I said no you really have got the wrong number , then she realised I wasn't funning .

She apologised then went on to tell me her friend had just had her land line reinstated and gave her the number and told her to ring to check it out ,
The number she had was ours , anyway we chatted for about 15 minutes about this and that and got each others name
Wished each other merry Christmas and hung up .

About a hour later she rang back to say she had the last number wrong and her and her friend had a good laugh about it and the fact we had continued chatting .
She said she thought she would ring back and let me know and not to be surprised if she rings up when she has had a drink over Christmas to chat some more

B said its only me that could make a new friend over a wrong number

Good Morning everyone, well the last five days are upon us not much time left until the big day,I still have to get myself a couple more gift bags I underestimated the amount I needed so off to The Card Factory this morning that will be an achievement in its self.

I am hoping that there will be no restrictions on visitors given out by the PM if he decides to do so an awful lot of my family will be having turkey & beef sandwiches for their lunch take outs for quite a few weeks

I have organised Age UK to deliver a Christmas meal for Jim as he will be on his own this year he doesn't want to go for his lunch at his sisters he is just so set in his own ways,I will bring him back some goodies from my DDs so he will have treats on Boxing Day he can tuck into.

The weather here is dull but dry yesterday it was very foggy and you could hear the foghorns going off on The Mersey most of the day the Ferry to Liverpool was cancelled during the morning and with the shortage of train drivers it was proving difficult for people to get into Liverpool City Centre, looking at local news last night showed the shops where empty I feel so sorry for the shop owners this year after expecting a more productive year after last Christmas all the booking for restaurants have really dropped through the floor.

Oma I do hope B is feeling better.

Wishing everyone a stressfree last few days xxx glamma

        Good afternoon all

Thank you GRUS admin for the beautiful singing snowmen email . Its lovely.

OH has gone to the chiropodist this afternoon. I have just come back from the chemist where I picked up some lateral flow tests . By the time I came out there was a long queue as they are only allowing 2 people inside at a time.

        Oma how is B ?

Have a good day every one
Bring me sunshine in your smile.

Admin and Oma,thank you for the lovely e-cards.

After a busy day yesterday,i thought today would be easier.
Yesterday was spent putting decorations up and baking fruit cakes.

Brother in law came for a couple of hours this morning.
So, dinner was a bit later than usual and my day has been out of kilter.
We do like having him living nearer to us though.

Glamm, Jim certainly struck lucky when you moved next to him. I am sure he will enjoy the goodies from Boxing Day.

Oma, B is so right only you could make a new friend because of a wrong number. Be careful, she might be a pest if she keeps ringing up when she has had a drink.

Gemini, GC keeping you busy, they come first.

Nanto, I am sure your Bil likes being close to you as well.

B just booked a PCR test tomorrow morning just to be sure ,

Lizzie - I do hope all your plans can go ahead.

Oma - interesting way to make a new friend. I do hope B's test is negative, but best to do the PcR to be sure. He must be fed up with all the coughing. I hope your niece and OH are ok, too.

Nanto - it's surprising how it throws you when a routine gets all upset. It's lovely to have your BIL so close, though.

Gem - what a busy day for you. How was your Mum?

                    Enfys - I love the blanket. x

Glamm - hopefully nothing will change this side Christmas in terms of Covid restrictions. After Christmas - well, who knows! We need to make the most of Christmas with our families. I'm sorry Jim will be on his own, but how thoughtful of you to arrange a meal for him, and I'm sure he will be delighted with any of the Boxing Day treats you take him.

Mimi - I think a lot of people are stocking up on lateral flow tests. I just hope most of them aren't needed, but better to have them in just in case.

Plant - did the doctor ring and sort out your prescriptions? Don't overdo the dusting. I'm only dusting where you could write your name for everyone to see!

Enfys - we both had "Cooper Days" today! Our Cooper ended up falling asleep sitting up, but both he and Eva were very good. They don't play fight so much these days, but they had great fun playing ball together. I think the girls enjoyed our day together. GD2 was so excited this morning! We didn't do much, though. They like waffles, ice cream, honey and blueberries for breakfast at our house - it's their special treat! Then they went out with OH to help him put up the outside lights and have a grand switch on. Not very effective during the day, but they were pleased. They came in and watched tv for a while to warm up under cosy throws. Then they played together for ages while I got lunch. We always sit and chat over meals so it takes ages. By then GD2 was quite tired. The whole day was interrupted by our naughty shelf elves hiding in various places. One even climbed to the top of the Christmas tree. I took them back home about half past four. Came back and made us a light meal and am now going to update the Sainsbury's order. I don't seem to have done much but I'm tired as well!

                          Good morning.
                          Its the shortest day today.
Off to dads later, and not much to do when i get home.
Oma, BIL has good days and bad days.
Sometimes he has stomach problems. Doctor says its all the tablets he's on.
Apparantely they can't/won't change any of them.

                            Good morning to all.

Oma, did you sleep?? Is B any better?
That sounds like a nice GD day Daisy.
Glamma, its very kind of you to arrange the meal for Jim.
                            Enjoy your free day Jane.

I never got back here last night!
A busy morning yesterday, with the Sainsbury's delivery arriving even earlier than booked. Pancakes for breakfast, then I played with GS2 all morning. He made anniversary cards for his parents (one each!) We did Christmas crafting, and hiding games. That is where we take turns to write and draw a picture of four items then hide them around the house. Then the other one looks for them. We did this until Grandma got bored of the game! Just as I was preparing lunch GS had one of his spectacular nosebleeds so I was nurse for while. Once that was sorted and him cleaned up, lunch eaten, bags packed and the children into the car, we were by now running late. I delivered the GC home and went to see my mum.
It was a lovely visit actually. I stayed most of the afternoon and we had lovely chats. She was a bit tearful again when I left which was hard, but I know she is OK when I have gone.
Home to savour the peace without a five year old constantly on-the-go boy with no volume control . Then I cooked tea. After tea two of my friends came and we had nice couple of hours chat. Then OH and I caught up with the soaps, and the day was gone.

GS1 day today. We would normally go to the cinema and out for lunch. The pantomime tomorrow night is the only 'risk' I am taking this week, so we are staying at home today, apart from his martial arts class later. We will find a film to watch together on TV.
This evening we have two more friends coming round. I don't actually have a free evening until Christmas Day!

                            Happy shortest day everyone.

                                Good morning one and all.

Oma - I hope you got to sleep eventually. You'll have to take to the bottle! (Only kidding)

Nanto - Eeek! The shortest day and I've got so much to do! You wonder sometimes if doctors really give thought to what might help a patient. Being able to ease your BIL's stomach problems would make such a difference to him. I know when my DS gets tummy problems due to medication it really knocks him out, but at least the consultant takes it seriously and doesn't just brush it off.

Gem - and I thought I was busy!! I was exhausted after I my GD day yesterday - even though I loved every minute and their volume controls work well.

Jane - try and have a relaxing day if you've got no commitments today.

I need to go shopping this morning. Mainly to a plant centre for some Christmas greenery and to get a couple of garden vouchers. We realised late last night we have no gift tags to put on presents! So I'll have to go into the village as well. Then I want to get the last of the baking done and decorate the Christmas cake, do a couple of loads of washing (where does it all come from) and banish the ironing pile.

                                Take care everyone.
