Good morning and a Happy Christmas to all my Granny friends. Hope you all have a lovely day.

Oma ,your poor niece. What a disappointment for everyone. I hope she isn’t feeling too poorly and unnecessarily guilty.

DS1 arrived ( negatively tested thank goodness!) so we are having a quiet time together but wishing DS2 could be with us.

Oma, hope your niece isn't too poorly.
Such a shame all her plans were spoilt.

Been a good day. DS1 and GD2 came for dinner.
            GD is meeting her boyfriend.

A bit of relaxation time now.

We have had such a good day , laughed till my head aches ,
We did a secret Santa nothing above £20 ,
The best present was Brian's , James our friend and SIL's Dad got Brian to buy for ,

It was hysterical , Ear muffs , a Hair brush , Bin bags etc each one as daft as the next , we laughed till we cried with everyone Brian opened

Oma - love Brian's Secret Santa presents! Brilliant. Oh your poor niece, after doing all the shopping and planning. It would have been even worse if all that food had gone to waste. I hope she's soon better.

Glam - I hope you had a really happy day with your family.

WeeGranny, I hope your day went as well as possible and you all reminisced about some happy times.

Clover - thank goodness your DS1 was able to spend the day with you. How is your younger son?

Nanto - glad you had a good day.

We had a lovely, happy but very busy day. We all ate too much, and ended up watching old cine films of our DSs when they were little (transferred to DVD) and playing Bagatelle on an original wooden board. DS1 bought it some years ago, and it comes out most Christmases. GD1 was today's Champ!

Very tired now - ready for bed. Night, night everyone. Sleep well. xx

It's lovely to read about your days

We had such a nice time at DD2's, perfect!
Mum loved her presents and didn't seem unhappy when we left her as she knew we were bringing her here next Wednesday.

We got home around 6.30, fed our neighbour's cat, then got into our PJs for a relaxing TV evening.
                  Night everyone xx

                      Good morning, happy Boxing Day.

I had a lovely day yesterday at DD’s. Dinner was delicious, at too much but enjoyed every bite. Our secret Santa went very well and I think Dexter had more gifts than anyone, he loves ripping open a present. It was so nice that GD had the time off and GS’s girlfriend joined us later in the afternoon so we were a full house. We enjoyed a lovely supper at around 7.30 then played silly games for the rest of the evening. I finally got home at 11.30, feeling shattered but having had a lovely time with the family. I couldn’t go straight to bed, so had a hot drink and just relaxed finally going to bed at 1.00.

Im going over there today but later, after lunch. DD sent me home with cold turkey, ham, cheeses etc so I will have a picnic lunch don’t want to eat too much today. They will have some time in their own then I’ll go over in the afternoon but I’ll come home earlier too.

I really wasn’t looking forward to Christmas but yesterday was so nice and I’m happy we were all together. Hope everyone had a good time too. 😘

                        HAPPY BOXING DAY to all.

                          Morning ladies.
pleased to hear everyone had a good day ,
Its cold and wet here today really dark and dreary.

My next door neighbour was sectioned again yesterday ,
They sent her home still unwell and over the week she has become more erratic,
Her parents came to pick her up and she attacked her Mother , her Father had to restrain her ,

2 social workers a Dr and a Ambulance arrived then the police ,
so all their Christmas days ruined , this is the longest episode She has had I think. .

A quiet day I didn’t get to bed till 4 so feeling tired and lazy
Have a peaceful and happy day ladies xxx

                            Good Boxing Day morning everyone.

It's really lovely to read about your Christmas Days, so do please write about them.

I slept like a log last night and am ready to tackle some clearing up today. Lots of left overs, too, so no cooking, although we probably shouldn't eat for a month after our huge dinner yesterday.

Gem - you must have been pleased your mum was in such good spirits. I hope you all have a good day today,

Enfys - what a lovely time, and even more so as you weren't really looking forward to Christmas Day. I bet Dexter was delighted with all his presents. Our family dogs did well, too.

Nanto - we've got rain on and off as well. I like Boxing Day as well. It always feels more relaxed after the big event on Christmas Day.

                              Morning Grannies.

A quiet Christmas for me and DS1.Just drifted through the day doing what and when we wanted. DS1 had bought me a set of jigsaws that he knows I like. He likes jigsaws too so did one of them . I'll have my turn at them when I'm on my own.

DS2,in isolation, had a day on his own. His senseof taste and smell have disappeared so he couldn't even enjoy any food. He hadn't expected to be on his own so hadn't got any goodies in anyway.

                              Enjoy your Boxing Day ladies.

Hallo everyone, I am pleased you all had a good Christmas day, I am very busy today getting the meal ready for this evening, DS1 and family will be here. I am sat here and can smell garlic! I made stewed pears in the slow cooker for the first time and I must say they have turned out very well, I thought I had put too much red wine in but they are fine.

I have been for a walk, it is freezing -5 with a wind chill making it -10 or more, I learned my lesson yesterday though and got dressed warmer today and really enjoyed the walk, I came back through the woods as the paths were frozen hard and easy going, I used to go a lot through the woods when I had a dog and the girls were young.

I will get the potatoes etc done now.
