    Morning ladies
I got about 3hours sleep so a sluggish morning start for me ,

B been for his test just have to wait now for results by text ,

Washing in housework and hoovering done then I spent a while replacing batteries in some of my light up decorations .
I have a little bauble light up wreath in my dinning room ,
took it down to replace batteries and it sort of dropped to bits baubles bouncing all over floor .

I have the glue gun out but I’m not sure if I should fix it or start again with a new one for next year

Everyone seems so busy this week , I do miss the time playing with little people , making crafts hide and seek etc , enjoy it while it lasts ladies
They are growing up so fast .

DS was bringing the two youngest today but I told him to hang fire till we get the PCR results , no use taking chances is there

Have a good day ladies xxx

Good morning, a frost here, I went to the supermarket, early, I decided it is the weather for a chicken casserole so that is now in the slow cooker.

Gem, what a busy day you had yesterday!

Oma, I hope the result is negative, does it take long?

I am going for a ride on my exercise bike, I may get out later on.

I really, really must get some presents wrapped, no other demands for my time today. Hoping to get the prescription sorted today, the receptionist at the doctors has taken on the task they are a lovely lot at our surgery.

Oma, I do hope that will be a negative result. I do hope you will be able to see the GC.

Daisy, those GD’s of yours sound so sweet, the day sounded fun. You will be exhausted come Christmas Dasy with also the planning sand cooking, your freezer will be bursting. I need gift tags too Daisy, thanks for reminding me.

          Good Morning to all.
Yesterday I went to my local shopping centre to buy some extra gift bags and a list of other stuff which I needed and got held up in the queue at the nail salon,I thought I had better have my nails done as the salon could possibly close if new restrictions are brought in by the time I came out I only had an hour left in the car park so will have to go back today and pick up what I never managed to pick up,I needed chicken livers to make some pate and 4 x DGS cards somehow I had missed them off when getting the other cards "my head will never save my legs" as my mum used to say.

Oliver went on one of his nights out last night so at 1am I'm walking around the back gardens looking for him I purposely put a collar with a bell on so I could hear him wandering about but no joy spent half an hour looking for him then went back to bed only for him to charge into my bedroom about 3am he was full of the joys of spring and wanted to play,he is now curled up on the sofa on a fleece fast asleep.

Everyone sounds so busy and organised even though I start things early I always have to catch up quickly these last few days getting the right prezzies in the correct bags my bedroom wrapping corner looks as though a bomb has landed hopefully by tonight everything will be done and tidy once again.
Enjoy the rest of the day ladies x

Plant I think the hardest part is wrapping presents it seems forever doing them , good luck hope you get them all done .

My niece wraps nothing she puts everything in bags with pretty tissue paper on top

              Naughty Oliver Glamma!

GS and I had relaxed day. He had plenty of screen time, we played a game and watched a film together. I took him to his martial arts class and saw him get his yellow belt and certificate
I am still harassed with solicitor stuff regarding mum's house sale but trying not to dwell on it!
Two friends are coming for drinks, nibbles and catch up tonight.

Gem, glad you and GS had a relaxing day.

Oma, hope B's result is negative.

When i went dad's this morning,he told me his oven had packed in.
I checked it out and he was right.
Rang our local Curry's and they didn't have any in stock.
Rang the next nearest one which is in Wakefield.
They had 2 in stock. He left it up to me to pick one. Told me to get the one i thought was the best.
So that is how me and hubby spent the morning. Anyway dad was happy with the one we got.
He cooked a ready meal in it this afternoon and said it was fine.

Nanto - what a time for Dad's oven to pack in, but very well done on getting a replacement so quickly. Is it a free-standing one you only had to plug/wire in? I'm glad it's working ok for him.

Gem - sometimes our GCs need some quiet time, so lots of screen time today was a good idea (for both of you!). Although my GD2 was full of beans yesterday she suddenly flopped and was really tired. I think she was quite happy to go home and chill. I bet GS1 was so pleased you were there to see him get his yellow belt and certificate. I'm so sorry you're still having problems with the sale of your mum's house. I hope having your friends round this evening takes your mind of it a bit. xxx

Glamm - I always forget a fe bits and pieces, but I've reached the stage for this year when if there's anything missing of my Sainsbury's delivery tomorrow night we do without it. There's enough food to feed an army (or 4 assorted grandchildren!) I'm still thinking it could all go pear-shaped if anybody tests positive for Covid. Naughty Oliver! I bet he got cold last night, the little monkey. What colour have you had your nails done?

Oma - I do hope B's PCR is negative - and your get it sooner rather than later. How's his cough? I hope you sleep better tonight. Oma - I like using bags and coloured tissue paper especially for awkward-shaped birthday presents, but hadn't thought of using them for Christmas presents.

Plant - thank you for the lovely comment about my GDs - yes, they are lovely girls, but I do accept I'm a tad biased. I hope you get your presents wrapped soon. We've still got ours to do, but I'm hoping OH might do most of them - he usually does, provided I write the labels.

Lizzie - did you get out later in the day? At least you had had a ride on your exercise bike. Has the lockdown started?

I didn't get out as early as I'd hoped this morning, but I got the garden vouchers. They didn't have any greenery for decorations, but I bought a huge Poinsettia instead. I'm not a great fan of them, but they looked very healthy and Christmassy. The card shops in the village didn't have any Christmas tags left, but I got a few plain red ones and ordered more from Sainsburys. I made a large pan of leek and potato soup this afternoon, and then took Eva with me to pick up a friend's post and then took her for a little walk. This morning OH delivered the very local cards and took Eva with him. He left her off lead and she was very good and didn't go too far away, but then she spotted two German Shepherds in someone's front garden and went to say 'hello'.

Daisy , I said the same what we haven't got we do without ,I will pop out for fresh bread but that's it
You seem to have been cooking for days , no fear you will starve hahaha .

B has actually gone to bed tonight and is sleeping , he hasn't had a good nights sleep for days ,
I am listening for a cough but so far he hasn't so that has to be a good sign.

Glamm what a naughty boy Oliver is loved the photo on FB of him chilling on his back

Nanto I think that is everyone's fear the cooker packing in at Christmas , well done getting a new one ,
I know they are in short supply at Curry's well what we needed was a few weeks ago .

Gem hope having friends around took your mind of the house sale , its been jinxed hasn't it all along
I bet GS was so proud of his Yellow belt .
When my DD was 14 she won the national women's self defence championship , sadly she gave it up shortly after such a shame I think .

Im sitting with a throw over me it feels cold tonight , I don't usually put the heating on when I am up during night its usually ok but I may pop it on just to warm up a bit ,
must be getting soft in my old age

Good morning everyone, there has been a keen frost again here. Daisy, the lockdown went in at 5am Sunday morning. I did get out, fine in the sun but cold cycling in the shade, I had a walk to the village later on in the day.

Nan2, your FIL must be so pleased with all your help.

I need to make a list today for what I need for the Boxing day meal.

Morning everyone. Is it really the 22nd!

                          Brrr, its cold this morning.

I had my hair cut yesterday afternoon, it wasn't very warm in the hairdressers as the heating was set lower than usual and every now and again the saloon front door and back door are opened to hopefully dispearch any lingering viruses. Staff and clients were all wearing masks which has been the norm since the pandemic first arrived.
I took a Christmas present (hox of biscuits) and a card for everyone there .

Today eldest DS is coming for lunch which is a rearrange plan as he was due on Christmas eve. As my grocery isn't being delivered until tomorrow and the fridge is looking bare I have decided that I will order fish and chips to be delivered via 'Just Eat ' We have used this service before and so far it has been a success.

Oma how is B when will he get his test results back ?

Morning Jane, yes 22nd already can't believe how fast time is racing on

                          Have a good day everyone

                              Morning ladies ,
B in the clear results arrived by text at 5.30 this morning so its a bad cold he has .

He slept well last night and feels slightly better today ,
DS bringing youngest two this morning so we will all wear masks as they are off to Centre Parks tomorrow for Christmas .

Mimi we ordered fish and chips by just eat last week and they came pipping hot ,
I think the just eat delivery driver must have been near the Fish & Chip shop because it was fast delivery too

Nanto I love coconut tarts , not everyone likes Coconut but we do , its some time since we had Coconut tarts though

Lizzie is there restrictions in the shops ? do you have to queue again , Its cold now isnt it be careful on your bike watch out for black ice xx

Gem how did your night go did you relax a little ?

Stripped both beds they in the wash and just finished a Iceland order for tomorrow morning .

My SIL Clare her Mam is a paramedic with north Air Ambulance , at the moment she is helping out in A&E ,
She has a bad cold too so had a Covid test yesterday morning same time as B ,
Being NHS emergency staff her results should have taken 4 hours on fast track she didn't get her results till 7 am this morning ,
So much for fast tracking , clearly that didn't work . Luckily she got the all clear too .

                                Good morning everyone.

Nan2, well done getting your FIL's new cooker sorted s quickly! Impressive. I still have mince pies to make. Tomorrow!

Poinsettias are quite Christmassy Daisy, but I'm not that keen once the season is over and they lose the red leaves (well I think they have another name, red brachts or something?)

Oma I hope B gets a negative result, DD1 waited all day for hers yesterday and it finally arrived this morning. Negative thank goodness. She has felt poorly for about a week. I think it was just booster reaction to be honest.

Mimi, everywhere seems cold these days doesn't it? All the windows and doors open in December!

Oma, I cannot begin to tell you how much the house stuff is stressing me. I can't even bring myself to talk about it yet.

Library for me this afternoon. There is a craft afternoon which I will be helping with. We have no idea if we will get a lot of children, one or two, or none! My theory is that at this point in the year parents love an event they can drop children off at for an hour or two, not ones like this where they need to stay! I will report back.

Panto tonight for DD2, GD, GS1 and me. When we booked them almost two years ago GS2 was too young, but he would probably have been OK had we known it would be postponed a further year. We usually go out to eat first but I don't want to. DD and GD may but GS and I will meet them at the theatre. It sounds as safe as it can be. Masks to be worn and Covid pass or proof of recent negative flow test to be shown for all adults. Staggered entry times, our is 6.15.
I'm trying to be careful but we have to have some fun! This will probably be the only public thing I will do at all over Christmas.

I hope everyone is OK today.
