Plant, i saw it on the news yesterday about London being deserted.
Thats most unusual isn't it at this time of the year.

Plant - I feel desperately sorry for the businesses that won't be able to survive loss of this vital last week's trading before Christmas. Last year's November lockdown was bad enough, but this time there appears to be no government help for them.

I hope nothing happens to prevent families seeing each other over Christmas.

Well, we start late, but the Daisy domain is looking very Christmassy. Tree up, and most of the decorations. Today we used one of the strings of LED bulbs I got last week to light up a large glass lantern thingy. It was a bit fiddly to do, but we think it looks nice. We've re-organised the lighting in the living room so that we don't need to use the central lights. I've got quite a few meals in the freezer and some baking, although there's more to do. Even the ironing pile is a shadow of its former self. The guest room is ready apart from running the sucky up thing round - there's no point in doing that yet! OH steam-cleaned all the hard floors in the house and swept the front drive.

Tomorrow the GDs and Cooper are coming for the day - looking forward to seeing them. I'm not sure what they'd like to do, but there's painting, making some decorations/cards for their mum and dad, baking, playing board games, taking the dogs to the paddock, or whatever they feel like doing.

I've still got to decorate the Christmas cake (thank heaven for ready-to-roll icing) and wash some glasses etc that haven't been used for a while, and finish off the Sainsbury's order for Wednesday's delivery.

Good morning Grannies everywhere. An early start for me - I'm just off to collect GDs and Cooper. I'll get back on here when I get a minute.

Mimi - I think there'd be a mass rebellion if they tried a lockdown before Christmas at this stage. Afterward, though, who knows?

It sounds very Christmassy in your house now Daisy

GS is watching some Christmas cartoons so I will say a quick good morning.
A busy day for me. Sainsbury's delivery any moment. After lunch I will take the GC home before I visit my mum. This evening the two friends I was due to eat out with tonight our coming round.
I iced and decorated the Christmas cake last night (ready rolled icing Daisy!) , the presents are wrapped, so all I need to do when I get round to it is make mince pies. GS1 will be here for the day tomorrow and will want some screen time, so I will have plenty of time to get on wit that. He may want to help me, but I doubt it!

                    Have a good Monday everyone.

Good morning, I have done my shopping, brought my exercise bike back up here, yet again! My leg was playing up in bed with not getting the exercise.

I have been to the Lidl etc, also to my garage, I have an insurance that I buy "bundles", they have changed insurance so I received a new ?? to plug in, I thought I would let my garage men do it and they did, the one that put it in said " you do know they know exactly where you are driving etc?" I told him I did and that it won't be very interesting watching where I drive.

I then went to where I do coffee to pick my Christmas present up, one of those correction books with a special pen, so, now I will get my passwords etc all sorted out, I am pleased it is that as it is often a bar of chocolate etc, always something to support the 3rd world countries.

Gem, enjoy your morning with the children and your mince pie making tomorrow.

Daisy, your house will be ready for Christmas, I did buy a few things at the supermarket, I want to do stewed pears in the slow cooker. I will have to find the recipe first though.

Good morning, dull and dreary here. Cooper has arrived, he’s had a wander round the garden and is now snoring next to me on the sofa. I need to ice my Christmas cake so might get that done today also have to deliver some Christmas cards.

Imhave been busy working on the tempersture blanket I am making for DGD. She is moving into a new flat in the New Year and this will be her birthday present in February so a perfect time to give it to her. It’s been a long project but fun to make.

Have a good day everyone 🌞

Very dull here but I suspect it will be quite mild out. I have to stay in as I am expecting my doctor to ring me about an item not on my prescription. Apart from that I think I had better start on wrapping the presents. Just two more to arrive. I also need to get the duster out or Father Christmas will go away.

Oma, How is Brian, I hope he is going to be well enough to enjoy his Christmas. Your decorations on the house look very pretty.

Enfys, please explain what a temperature blanket is. Enjoy you day with Cooper.

Lizzie, big brother is watching you now.

Oma, up to now the plan is spending Christmas Eve at DS1, DS2 and DIL will be there as well, then, DS1 and family eat here on Boxing Day, we shall have to see how it all goes.

I have just been for a bike ride, it is colder than it was but dry.
