Oma, One of the members of WI holds a small craft group once a month and today we made a very nice Christmas card and the answer to your question is that’s I have not finished my table runner, I know how to finish it now but other things come along to put it on the back burner.
What is life if full of care we have no time to stand and stare
I took DS1 to the hospital this afternoon, he had to go for X-rays for his shoulder, DIL was picking him up and he just phoned to say it is healing nicely and it will take another 6 weeks, he doesn't have to go again but has a phone appointment in 4 weeks time. DIL had been to GD2 school to discuss her future school.
My friend has to go again tomorrow for a MRI scan then on Monday for heart tests etc and when the results are through she will probably get medicine for epilepsy, they will know more after the tests etc. She is still very tired and can't believe it is all happening!
Glamm nice to here your feeling better ,
B cleared all the leaves from our artificial grass this morning before Storm arrived , then if he does a poo i can see it ,
We have one of those big Red plastic snow shovels it scoops the leaves up very easily , we just shove them all in a pile in the corner and then scoop
Chicken casserole is always a winner .
Plant sometimes you just have to keep going back doing a little at a time or you get sick of a project don't you .
I did a Cross stitch Christmas runner a few years ago , its lovely but took me a full year to do as I just couldn't face it some days ,
I would get it out do a little then put it away again .
That's good that your son's shoulder is healing well Lizzie.
I used to love cross stitch Oma. I fear I couldn't do it now due to my eyesight.
Another busy afternoon at the library. A lot on the computer again. I am learning new skills all the time. We can plug a hand held scanner (like at the supermarket) into the laptop, scan the bar codes on books and move them from one library branch to another, and all sorts of things!

Lizzie, good to hear DS1 is healing nicely.
Hope all goes well for your friend.
We will never learn. Both of us been to the bungalow.
Hubby did a couple of outside jobs, while i said i would help with some unpacking.
Problem is they are both hoarders.
They had a box of grandaughters baby clothes, who is 16 now.
I said why don't you take them to the charity shop, but she said they were too good to get rid off.
Managed to persuade her to keep a couple of items, and took the rest to charity shop before she changed her mind.
Hubby going tomorrow to put them a gate up,so i said i would go and help sort some more things out.
Had a lovely couple of hours with friends this morning. We laughed till we cried, but it was so good to have a really good catch up.
Daisy, pleased you eventually got the label sorted out.

Nan2, there are some beautiful sunrises if you are up early enough to see them, aren't there? You and OH are so kind doing all you are doing at that bungalow. That time with friends will have done you good.
I am going to see my mum this afternoon. No other plans today.
Have a good day everyone.

I have been to the gym early as I am expecting a delivery, I have treated myself to 2 new duvet covers!!! I can't remember when I last bought them, I have a single bed but my duvet is wider than a single and smaller than a double so I buy the double and just alter them.
Glamm, I was looking at recipes for chicken casserole, I will be making one next week.
This is a picture of the tree behind my fence this morning ,
looks beautiful but I hate this tree ,
It blocks sun light when in leaf and all them damn leaves end up in my Garden

Our French class overran, so I was late getting home for lunch. OH was supposed to be making us a sandwich, but he hadn't! Then rushing off, late, to dog training and the journey was as slow as it's ever been. I only just got there in time. Then back home to reheat the chicken casserole I made the day before, eat, get changed and out to pick friends up to go to the theatre. The road to the car park was closed, so we had trouble even getting into the car park, and it was nearly empty. We could see why!
We enjoyed the show - I'll write about it separately, and then it took us nearly 1 ½ hours to get home because of even more overnight road closures. Perhaps I shouldn't be surprised I didn't wake up till 9.30 this morning!
I need to get showered and dressed, so I'll be back later. xx

I hope you can have a restful day today Daisy!
Oma, yes I know your love hate relationship with all the trees near you!
Lizzie. you are good getting out to the gym early.

Back home for something to eat.
I sat this morning at the bungalow and went through 3 large bin liners full of paperwork.
This was all from the 70's and 80's. Asked SIL when she last went through it all.
Never she said. We are going down later to burn it all, BIL gave his permission.
