No gardening done at the bungalow, weather didn't allow.
Hubby fitted the extractor fan over the hob instead.
He's just popped back down to see how nephew is doing with the decorating.

Thanks WG, what a lovely story about your father and his rhubarb! I hope BIL finds something to occupy himself.

Do you all get tests from the NHS? I have never had a test, they do say that the virus is spreading again here, November 5th we should get our new rules unless something happens before then.

Plant, you would be worried not being able to get in touch with your sister.

Lizzie, yes the tests are free from the NHS. In fact they want us to test ourselves a couple of times a week, but I doubt many do unless there is a reason to.

I couldn't be a**** downloading the app for the test kits, so I've done it online! DD is also going to bring me some because GS has them from school and only uses a couple a week, so they've plenty. We need them for visiting hospital/care home so do them before we visit.

WG I just order the tests online and haven't put the app on my phone.

Nanto - that's good news about your BIL, and I'm sure he'll be glad to get home as soon as he can.

Good morning, dull and drizzly here as well, only not as cold as it was yesterday. It is GD1 16th birthday today. It doesn't seem that long ago that she was born. I am going to their house for a meal tonight.

Not much going on for me today, I have an appt. at the dentist this afternoon. Oh, nearly forgot, I filled my car with petrol yesterday, the tank of course. Christening of GD1 on Sunday, I have been looking for a present for her, I have settled on a personalised Nursery Rhymes book. Wet and windy here.

Lizzie, Happy Birthday to your GD

Good morning all. Nice and sunny here so far although rain is forecast later. I’m pleased as my gardener is due to arrive any minute. I’m going to see if she’ll help me move a plastic storage unit at the bottom of the garden. It’s just too much for one person so hopefully we can get that done.

Daisy, Cooper seems much perkier now, I think he’s getting used to coming here. I’m also getting used to his little ways, I know when he sits with his paw up he’s asking for a treat!

Im due for my fLu jab tomorrow at our local chemist. My friend went yesterday but they had no over 65 vaccine, so I don’t know if I’ll get it done or not! Anyone else had this problem?

Have a good day everyone 🌞
