Clover - I agree about getting out of the habit of walking. I haven't done many Forest walks during the school holidays - too many unruly dogs and people who don't understand about not letting them come bounding up to a dog on a lead. But today we did a 5k walk and it was lovely - Eva enjoyed it too - but I felt quite tired when I got back. I need to build up distance again! You have a lovely place for your walks, and a breath of sea air blows the cobwebs away nicely. I hope you can cut your grass before you need a machete to get through it.
Gem - I hope you mum is well.
Oma - your MIL always makes me smile. Perhaps she wants to see the OT to make sure she's getting the right aids for her - or does she just like to have a chat with them?
Grauntie - I could weep! Digging out raspberry canes! <Shock, horror, sobs> I tried to grow them on the allotment several times - even had a fruit cage - but I lost them every winter in the boggy mess that was my allotment.
I'm just trying to psych myself up to do some ironing.

Nanto - it's probably a weight of dad's shoulders as well. Of course he will miss her dreadfully, but reading between the lines, he has been her resident carer and that's a big responsibility, even though he had fantastic help from you. xx

Good morning Nanto. It's raining here - not much, but enough for Patio Man to cry off!
Lizzie - I hope you are feeling better today.
Gem - I meant to say last night, pleased S is feeling ok now and enjoyed the golf, and that you had a good visit with your mum. What's on today's agenda?
I have the perfect opportunity today to catch up with the ironing - I did some yesterday. I may change my mind and do something else, though!

Good morning, yes, luckily the cystitis is improving, as soon as I get the medicine it eases. I have already been to DS1 on the bike, early, my neighbour makes ointments etc and I have one for bruises so I took it for DIL, luckily her leg (knee) is much better. It is lovely weather at the moment but rain forecast later in the day. I want to go for strawberries and take them as I told GD2 I would get them today, I hope they still have them but think they will have.
I want to go to the library as well this morning.

Good morning everyone.
Overcast here too Nan2.
Lizzie good to hear you and DIL are improving
Leave the ironing and do some painting Daisy!
Oma, I agree about the strawberries. They are not as sweet now, and seem to last a very short time, you have to eat them pretty soon after buying.
I had very nice evening with my friends. We worked together years ago and have always kept in touch.
OH has set off for an away golf match, with meal.
Free morning me, then GS1 from school and to his Mixed Martial Arts class which I stay to watch.

Raining here and looking very dark, I have the dentist at 12, then I am going to a guiding friend who held a class making a Christmas table runner, then Covid arrived and mine is still not finished so I am hoping to get it finished for this Christmas. Then this evening it is back to my Trefoil meeting (ex. Guiders), it will be great to see my guiding friends again. So a busy day for me.
Oma, I haven’t had a decent strawberry this year, not a lot of flavour and quite sharp, probably something to do in the growing and picked too soon. We have a pick your own farm close by but due to Covid we were not able to pick our own this year.
Daisy, I expect your patio man was pleased to see the rain, he had a good excuse not to come today. I agree with Gemini, leave that ironing and get the paints out.
Gemini, what will you be doing with your free morning, something for yourself would be good. I would love to see the children doing their martial arts.
Lizzie, isn’t there something else the medics can do instead of keep prescribing tablets?
Nanto, you must all be relieved that the funeral is now over, never a nice occasion. What is life if full of care we have no time to stand and stare

Good Morning Ladies I am just catching up on the posts of the past few days as I have not had a lot of spare time.
Yesterday (my b'day) the phone never stopped with good wishes from friends and both my son's arrived with flowers etc.also an old neighbour called in with a gift & card all very thoughtful.
On Sunday I was treated to the day out with my DD & her partner at his house for dinner with his parents they are a very welcoming family I did not arrive back home until 9pm which is late for me I am usually all tucked up in bed by then.
Sending hugs to Nanto at this sad time x
On Saturday I bought a new car for myself after I had a problem with my little Polo the 4th gear went on it and after getting a repair price and the age of it DD's partner suggested it was uneconomical to have it repaired as there is a possibility it may not pass the next MOT so off we went to the local dealership and I have bought a 4yr old Fiat 500 in wait for it !! Coral ? it is certainly a girly car and so cute it's right up my street said my DGS I pick it up on Thursday morning when all the valet and stuff is done.
Off to do some ironing now I have let it slip this past week and it has built up a wee bit so need to get going.
By the way my neighbour Jim is home and having carers in 4 times a day he is coping fine thank goodness.
Bye for now xKeep Calm,You're Fabulous
