    Good morning all.

    Cute kitties Nan2
WG, It's all hospital for you and OH at the moment isn't it . We can't help but if talking to us helps I'm glad xx
I hope you stay dry on your bike ride Lizzie. It seems no time since you sent me your GD1's first photos!
Oma, I hope GS has a lovely day.
Daisy, don't let the patio man leave until he has done several hours work!

I have just registered us both for flu jabs at the local pharmacy. We can go on Saturday or on Sunday morning. As we have GC staying Saturday night I think we will go tomorrow morning.
Free day for us both today. As GD and GS2 are having a sleepover tomorrow, and I had GS all day on Monday, DD doesn't want me to collect them after school today too.

I must do some cleaning, and I want to go to Wilko and OH wants to go to Curry's. We also plan to watch the NTA awards from last night. Got to get a bit of culture

Happy Friday everyone. I wonder where Mimi is??!!

WG, just re-read your last post and thought what a good job you didn’t move. All the pressure with hospital visits plus moving house would have been so much pressure although it would be nice to be nearer to DD and family.

It is raining here atm but quite mild. I am hoping to hear from GD1 today to see how her first week back to work has been. This evening I plan to watch the ladies ATP tennis final. Emma Raducanu, is an amazing exciting player to watch, very athletic.

Daisy, I would barricade those workmen in if I were you and don’t let them out until they have finished the job.

Oma, hope your arms are not too sore after your flu jab, I have booked mine at the local chemist for next Sat. Our doctors do everything to suit themselves and have arranged for us all to drive to a Cricket ground some miles away from me and queue in our cars, they did the same last year so I decided to go to the chemist again. Happy Birthday to J

Plant, I was just hearing about Emma Raducanu on the radio. Amazing!
I hope your GD's first week back at work went well.

Little visit from my DGD and my eldest son yesterday they where going to go to Chester Zoo as they have yearly contracts but the rain started and put paid to the arrangements its a good job as the local news showed flooding in the area, they will try again next week.

I am doing a spring clean in my bedroom to-day all drawers emptied and lining paper changed I got some lovely scented paper in M&S a few weeks ago and have been meaning to get the job done so tonight it will all be done hopefully.

Every one enjoy the rest of the day I'm off to get busy for a while sorting stuff in my bedroom.

Sun showed it's face earlier, but now it's black and we've just had a downpour. Luckily DS was out the back having a smoke and he noticed the raindrops so I retrieved the washing just in time.

OH spilt a glass of water in bed this morning, so I'm drying the mattress out with the hairdryer! Put sheets etc in for a quick wash and when the mattress is dry they'll be going back on.

Had a call from the dietician earlier. think he was taken about at how little OH is eating. He's going to try him on some kind of drinks to see if that helps with his appetite and to build up muscle and weight! We'll see! His mobility is getting worse and yesterday was one of the worst we've seen him for quite some time. DS thinks he might be suffering from Chemo brain, a reaction to the treatment, which can affect people. I shall mention it to the doctor at our next appointment.

Plant you're right about us not having moved. I certainly couldn't have done all this if we'd been near DD. I think we'll start looking again as we get near the end of the treatment though.

Hope Gem has enjoyed her swim! I remember being in the pool in the middle of a tropical downpour in Noosa on the Gold Coast years ago. Quite exhilarating!

Am envious of all you lucky people getting their flu jabs so quickly. It'll be October before we get ours unless the surgery gets their supplies in before then.

Sainsbury's has just been, so I'll get that put away in a bit. Not sure what the rest of the day holds. I have cleaned the kitchen this morning and am tempted to clean out some cupboards!
Jam made yesterday and a home made curry for dinner went down well. DS wants the rest of it tonight. I'll see what I can tempt OH with!

Enjoy the rest of the day ladies xx

p.s. Has anyone heard how Clover got on at the hospital last week? I hope she's OK.
Believe you can and you're halfway there.

WG Chemo Brain is common and causes odd symptoms like dizzy spells so worth a mention to the Dr ,
Those Drinks are full of vitamins but disgusting to drink , not so bad if he has no taste ,
That could be a reason he isn't eating apart from feeling the effects of the Chemo he may not taste anything poor man .

We have had all seasons today

I have just cleaned everything upstairs washed the doors down and skirtings,
I then emptied the Bathroom cupboards out and threw away stuff that's not getting used .
Why do we keep half bottles of stuff ?

Oma, OH had those drinks when he was ill, I tried one once, oh dear, as you say, disgusting!

We do tend to keep half bottles in the bathroom cupboards, I am (was) a hoarder and if anything is on offer will buy 3, but, I have stopped that now, one is enough.

It has stayed dry here all day, will see what happens later on.

I think my dad had those drinks in the nursing home sometimes.
I too hope Clover is OK, and Mimi too who has been very quiet lately.

It rained here for a few seconds earlier! its been a lovely day.
I did some work on long neglected minutes as we will be resuming the Friends of the library meetings soon.
We went to Wilko and Curry's, and to the pharmacy to collect our prescriptions. We then had tea and scones on the patio whilst playing Scrabble

I'm another one hoping Clover and Mimi are ok.

It was overcast and very warm for most of the day.
But this afternoon we have had some very heavy showers.

Plant, hope GD did ok being back at work.

I keep thinking about next Monday. Keeps me awake at night.
I have a sickly feeling feeling to my stomach, and keep getting a headache.
Will be glad when the funeral is over but, at the same time i don't want it to come.
That probably doesn't make sense to you,but i know what i mean.

                                Good morning everyone.

Nan2, that time before the funeral is a hard time. Take care of yourself xx

We are going for our flu jabs this morning. The local pharmacy hold drop-in clinics (you have to have registered online first) in the village hall several weekends during the autumn. This is the first, we are getting in in case supplies run out!
GD and GS2 are staying the night, arriving around 4. I need to get their rooms ready. Fish and chips for us all tonight, so no cooking.

                                Have a good Saturday ladies.
