Good evening, what a day! Started off ok but gradually got really cold and now it’s blowing a gale and pouring with rain. I have the heating back on.

Arthritis is horrible, I sympathise. I have it in my knee and neck, so painful sometime and now my hips are playing up. I try to keep mobile as much as I can. I had an injection in my knee years ago and the doctor said it might last for between 3-6 months, well the pain has never been back as bad as it was so it worked very well.

The kitchen painting went well, another job off the list, Daisy, I think you asked what colour I was using....it’s the same colour, I had so much of it didn’t think it was worth buy more. It’s Buttermilk, a pale yellow/cream and looks nice and fresh now.

Glad Storm is ok, Oma, horrible when that happens.

Going to settle down for an evening of tv and knitting, and keeping warm.

Enfys - it's really changed for the worse, hasn't it. It's like November here and the wind is howling round at the front of the house. I've actually just checked that the big horse chestnut tree outside looks ok. It's now in leaf and flower so extra weighty. It's also raining hard now.

I spoke to my SIL in North Wales this afternoon and they had the wind and the rain - now we've got it as well.

It's been a funny old day today. We spent this morning pouring over large scale local maps to try to sort out my OH's confusion between a couple of roads out of the village. We've only lived in this village for about 37 years and he still gets confused between two of the three roads going west. One goes to the paddock where we take Eva and the other is the route we take to DS2's. We use these roads all the time, but he often takes the wrong one or if I'm with him I prompt him. He then tried to find on the map the route to a pub we like and had no idea where to look for it even though he knows the way! I think it's helped seeing where the roads are in relation to each other - time will tell!

After lunch OH went to see some wood working tools someone was selling to see if there was anything his brother needed. I had a very lazy afternoon basically cuddling Eva!

It was horrible for most of the day. Lashing rain and dark. Then mid evening the sun came out!
My tooth is very painful so fingers crossed I can be seen tomorrow. Feeling fine after yesterday's jab as far as I can tell, just very tired this evening.

Good morning, Enfys, yes, it is painful, when we were young we didn't realise it could happen to us!! Your kitchen will look nice, as for the weather, the same here, blowing a gale with heavy showers.

Gem, I hope you get to the dentist today. I have my check up next week.

Daisy, I hope your hubby gets the roads sorted out.

Very windy this morning. (The weather not me.)
              Not raining at the moment.
Off to in laws in an hour.
              No plans after then.

                Good morning all.
Dark and windy here too Nan2.

Enfys, Lizzie and Oma. The knee injections did not help for me. I am going to try it one more time though.

I was to have had two outside coffee meetings today. With two friends in town this morning, and in my ex neighbour's garden this afternoon before school pick up.
I cancelled both, because I need to keep the whole day free for an emergency dental appointment and because I just don't think it would be a pleasant experience. It is highly likely to rain.
I have emailed the dentist reception as that gets there before they open and they seem to get to those quicker than the phone.
I warned DD1 there may be a problem picking up GS from school if I happen to get an afternoon appointment. Her friend who lives near the school has offered to pick him up.

Gem, I do hope you can get your tooth seen to today, good luck.

Sunny here at the moment but the sky is very grey and still windy. My day with a Dexter today, he has been wearing the cone of shame as he has a sore paw and won’t stop licking it! I’ll have to keep him occupied to take his mind off , he’s a big baby 🙂.

Face time with DS shortly, always good to see them. Otherwise, so plans so I’ll go with the flow. Have a good day everyone 🌞

Good morning everyone. It's still very windy here as well, but not raining - at the moment. We'd hoped to go out for the day today just for a change, but the picnic we'd planned in the Forest doesn't sound so appealing this morning.

Arthritis is horrible, and there doesn't seem to be a great deal of help for it even in these days.

Gem - poor you. I do hope you get an appointment at the dentist today. You must be so fed up with that tooth.

Enfys - poor Dexter! I hope his paw heals up quickly. I think Eva would be petrified if she had to wear a cone of shame. We were lucky when she was spayed - she never bothered with the wound at all - we just put her in a t-shirt and that seemed to work - but poorly paws are more accessible! I bet the kitchen looks lovely - buttermilk is one of my favourite decorating colours! I hope your DS and family are all ok. It's Autumn for them, isn't it.

Oma - I hope you find the perfect fabric and then you can see the bedroom all finished and beautiful. How is Storm this morning? I'll tell my OH about your road confusion. I often find it hard to give directions to a place. I know the way but can't put it into sequence in my head. I hope your sister is ok. Does she get a lot of migraines?

Nanto - I don't think many of us will be like the lady in your graphic today - it will be winter coats, umbrellas blowing inside out and windswept hair.

Oh Daisy, poor you. I suppose those visors are hot if it is sunny.

Gemini, so sorry to hear about your tooth problem, I hope you get it fixed soon. Have fun with the Quiz, I hope you win.

Oma, how is Storm? What a shame your Sil wasn't walking him. Best to keep away from the shops today, are you looking for plain or patterned fabric?

I messaged GD to see how the holiday was going, she said baby H hasn't enjoyed herself, she has been very unsettled, shame because she is such a good baby, I hope she settles again when they get back on Tuesday.

WG, I hope your OH is feeling more comfortable, good job they are not in a hurry to discharge him.

I am going to finish the gardening today, weather permitting. The forecast for the rest of the week looks dire.

I have just found the above, apparently I didn't post it yesterday.

Waiting for the plumber to arrive to start on my shower cubicle. I want to go next door to have a shower but he is sure to arrive then. I plan to do a bit of cleaning, then not sure.

Went in next door for lunch yesterday, GS1, and family were there too. GGS wore us all out playing hide and seek. GGD off her food, not her usual self, slept for 2 and a half hours. My DD had made my favourite, a fish pie. GD and baby H coming back from Cornwall today.

Plant - I think you did post yesterday??

I hope everything goes well with the new shower cubicle. How long will it take? I bet GGS slept well after such fun. Hopefully both GGD's will be ok. Sometimes little one seem to have an 'off' day, and H will soon settle down into her routine again when she gets back from Cornwall. Yumm, fish pie. One of my favourites too, although I never make it!

Managed to get fabric to match my curtains just plain tweed , then went to Dunelm for fitted sheets , from there to Hobby craft i wanted a flower Garland to wrap around the headboard rail but for what they were charging they were rubbish , I will but some silk flowers and make one myself .

DD was taken Storm to vet today but don't know if she's been yet , SIL wrapped him in a bandage to stop him licking it yesterday he wasn't happy about that .

We had home made Fish Pie on Saturday night I love Fish pie
