We had a lovely time at the coast Lots of fresh sea air, a picnic, walk, and a long sit on the beach talking about all sorts. We bought a cuppa from a stall on the way back up to the car and drank it in there looking out to sea.
We're home now and I have just ordered fish and chips for OH to collect. We had a late picnic lunch. so not ready for any when we were at the coast! We'll do that next time.

Glamm - The Farmers Market sounds great - you've got some delicious treats for sure. It's easy to forget to hit "Post", especially when the phone or doorbell ring. You've more than earned your week-end off from the decorating.

Gem - what a lovely day. I'm sure the fresh sea air has done you both good. As Plant says, it's lovely living close enough to go to the seaside for a day, or even part of a day. It's something I really missed when we lived inland. Those fish and chips will have tasted all the better for your day out.

Nanto - sometimes a good old potter is very satisfying.

We've had a lovely day. We needed coats in the end, but the day was mostly quite warm and very sunny. It was great to see both DS1 and DS2 and their OHs. The GSs stayed at home and looked after Bailey the BC, which I think the GDs were a bit disappointed about, but I also think both boys were tired after being back at school and college. We'll see them next time.

Enfys - how is your DD?

I read Glamma's post, and thought she said a lovely pair of knickers from the fish man.

Morning all, another night with our cat making dreadful noises keeping us awake. We have tried everything we have had suggested and we have read on the Internet but nothing seems to work. I seem to be getting used to about 4 hours sleep each night.

Its been rather hectic here these past few weeks.
I have had some work done on my teeth.
I have been for my mammogram and the results came back on Friday and they were all clear.
Yesterday DD and SIL had their covid vacancies and that's been a hugh worry for us as she is allergic to so many things. She was told to insure that she had her epien with her when she had her appointment. She had it with no issues so far thankfully. Hopefully she and SIL are feeling ok this morning.
Last week we had a friend of DS's came and prepared the ground in the back garden ready for the turf to be layed on Tuesday.
DS put up our new window blinds in all the rooms yesterday ( brick dust , will I ever get it out off my vacuum cleaner?)

But the biggest issue we had happened last Sunday morning and it involves the b*****y cat !
She has been very brave and has decided that she would venture outside. You have to understand that she is a cat that hardly goes out , if she does she keeps within a few feet of her home .
OH noticed that she had crossed the road and was heading up the extremely steep hill so he chased after her , she turned to come back and as he turned he fell and hit his face on the pavement. I rushed out to him and to my horror I could see face was covered in blood. It was all over the pavement in front of someone's house, all down his clothes and it was pouring from his nose and mouth. I helped him back indoors and got him sat in the bathroom with towels all around him trying to catch the flow of blood.
After a few minutes a neighbour came to the door concerned about our cat as she was in the middle of the road making dreadful noises ( no one had seen OH fall so was unaware of the carnage going on in the bathroom) I said I would get her as soon as I had sorted OH out.

When I did go back out I could see another neighbour trying to catch her and when I went over to her she dashed under another neighbours car that was parked on their driveway. So me and the neighbour, whom I have never met before, were on our knees trying to coach her out but she wouldn't budge so I said she will have to stay there for now as I needed to get back to OH .
Would you believe it, she then came out from under the car , came to me and I was able to pick her up and carry her home.
After an hour OH's nose was still bleeding so I rang 111 and was told he needed to go to A and E .
I wasn't able to go into the hospital with him so I sat for over 4 hours in the car park until he came back out .

He had been discharged even though his nose was still bleeding slightly but was told that was ok .
By the next day the whole of his face and nose was swollen. He had two black eyes, bruising down his jaws and neck and because of his swollen nose was unable to speak, eat and swallow comfortably. He has been feeling unwell all week but thankfully his face is improving and the nose isn't so swollen but at the moment we still don't know if its broken.
What amazes amazes us is the fact that through all this he didn't break his glasses!

Nan2 I had to go and look at Glamm's post, knickers from the fish man ! 😳😂

            Have a good day everyone
Bring me sunshine in your smile.

Good morning, Mimi, what a carry on with the cat and your hubby, I do hope his face soon heals, it was amazing he didn't break his glasses when he fell. It was a very long wait for you in the car.

I got my hanging baskets filled yesterday, I managed to hang them, my shoulder is not good so I should't do it really, I had a lot of pain during the night, the best thing is, I had just got them hung when DS1 phoned to say he was calling in for coffee!!!

It is dull and cold here so I will get some sewing done, I am going to DS1 later for his birthday.

Daisy, pleased you had a good day, you would enjoy all the visitors,

Gem, you would enjoy the seaside, I don't live far from the coast. When I had the dog I would take him for long walks on the beach. I took the girls often when they were young.

Glamm, the farmers market will be interesting.

                Happy Sunday morning everyone.

Daisy it must have done all of you so much good to spend that time together yesterday

                LOL, Nan2!

Oh dear Mimi, I wondered if puss was still disturbing your nights - and causing havoc during the day by the sound of it Poor OH, what a shock for you all. I hope he's not too sore today. Good news about the mammogram. One less thing to worry about!

I hope your son has a good birthday Lizzie. Are you feeling OK after your jab?

This morning we are going to my mum's house again. SIL1 is helping us today. He and OH will take a load or two to the council tip, whilst I spend the time continuing in the house.
Late afternoon we are going to sit in the garden of friends who have at last moved into the house they bought in our village. Another friend is going, so there will be 5 of us, having a nice chat

                Have a nice day ladies

Oma - Hopefully in time the happy, fun memories will overtake the sadness about your brother. Sending hugs. xxx

Mimi - Oh my goodness - what a nightmare with your cat and OH. Your poor hubby must be feeling awful. I hope his face heals up quickly and his nose isn't broken. I don't suppose your cat was in the least bit sorry either. She must be very confused though about the move, but you really can't exist on 4 hours sleep night after night. I wish I could suggest something to help, but I know you've tried everything. It's good to hear your new home is still making progress - and thank goodness your mammogram was clear.

Lizzie - you're naughty trying to do things like putting up your hanging baskets. Take care - accidents happen in a split second (like Mimi's OH) and I think we all over-estimate our ability to do things we used to do when we were 10 or 20 years younger!

Gem - well done on getting on with your mum's house. I'm glad you've got some help from SIL1 - another pair of hands makes such a difference. Enjoy your visit to your friend's new garden. x

Nanto - I had to go back and read Glamm's post, and she definitely said Kippers!!! But your comment made me laugh.

Plant - I hope you had a nice relaxing day yesterday to get over Friday's busy time.

Mimi, what an awful thing to happen, especially when you have your hands full moving into your new home. Your cat sounds senile to me, poor thing. I hope the damaged suffered by your OH heals well. You certainly have been having a busy time, pleased there was no problem with your mammogram.

Oma, sad day for you all, what an amazing amount of money your nephew has raised for the boxing club in memory of his dad.

Gemini, quite a job for you clearing your mum's house, I am pleased you have some help and support. Your trip to the coast sounds good, lovely to get some sea air.

Daisy, sounds like you all had a lovely day yesterday with the family, weather not so good here today.

Not sure what I am going to do today, I wanted to get into the garden but I have just poked my nose out and although sunny, the wind is very cold.

What is life if full of care we have no time to stand and stare

                            Morning all.

Oh Mimi what a saga of incidents. Going from peace and quiet one minute to absolute chaos the next. Do hope hubby feels better soon. What a wait you had.

Oma I can sympathise with your emotions today as I went through the same just a few weeks ago.Do try to remember the good times and smile. I’m sure it’s what your dear brother would have wanted.A lovely picture of him. Sending “ hugs”.

Sunny again here. Not that I want rain but a few April showers would help the garden!

                            Enjoy your sunny Sunday ladies.
