Gem - click and collect, what excitement!

Your GS1 and his mum and dad must feel really pleased to have managed the move in the current situation.

Good morning. The forecast is for temperatures to get up to 8 or 9 degrees,so it should get rid of the snow.

          Shiny new bin Enfys,how exciting.

Tidied up the lillies i have on the kitchen table. Whats left may or may not last till we got to the supermarket on sunday.

Braising steak, mushrooms and onions in the slow cooker. Will serve with mash and maybe sprouts.

Good morning Nanto, and your glamorous friend and all who follow. It's made me try and remember the last time I got 'dressed up' for anything. I think it was November 2019 for a big Christmas lunch with friends.

It's pouring with rain here as well. Goodness knows where all this water will go, the ground is already saturated.

OH has to go and collect something this morning and I was going with him, but it's so wet and miserable I think I'll stay here and may even do some housework!

            Nanto - lunch sounds delicious!

Oma - you've had another bad night - I hope you can get a nap later but perhaps take it easy today? xx

            Stay dry ladies. xx

              Good morning all.

I like the sound of that meal for a winter's day Nan2.
No rain here Oma, but very damp and dull looking.
It sounds as though you have the rain now Daisy.

An exciting day, a drive 2 miles away to Sainsburys this morning for Click and Collect! I have decided next time we have one to book it for the York store. Slightly further, and an excuse to go to town and maybe have a walk!
No other plans. I have been helping (very slightly) OH with her latest jigsaw, a Christmas present. It seems fiendishly difficult. The picture you have to complete is not the one on the box, but is the eye view of one of the cartoon style characters on the box. Mind boggling. When it is completed I will attempt to post both the finished jigsaw and the picture on the box.

              Have a good day ladies.

Morning, oh dear Gem, that puzzle will be difficult!!! I remember when hubby once bought one whilst in the UK, it was Heinz beans in tomato sauce!!!! I don't think he even started it.

That is a long way to drive!

I have been to the optician, my right eye still doesn't seem right after the infection. She was very good and examined the eyes thoroughly , nothing damaged, I just need artificial tears. Now I can relax.

The junior schools start again here on Monday and if all goes as planned the other schools on March 2nd.

At least you have been reassured about your eyes Lizzie.

My GC are dying to be back at school , even GS1 now. March 8th is the planned date here

Very late getting up, will be playing catch ump all day. I made some pastry yesterday, it is in the fridge, I will turn it into jam tarts and mince pies later. I will send most of them back home with the GGC who are next door today. Gemini, I asked GGS last week if he wanted to do some cooking, he thought for a second and then said "GT.Grandma, why don't you cook them on your own".

I have an opticians appt. tomorrow to fix my glasses, they are annoying me now.

That does sound a difficult puzzle Gemini, will be interested in seeing the picture.

Nanto, where did you get that picture of me? Your dinner sounds lovely, I hope your OH realises what a lucky man he is.

Heehee Plant that's the sort of answer GS 1 would have given at that age. He preferred the eating to the making

Jam tarts and mince pies made, DD will deliver most of them to GS1 when she takes GGS and GGD home. I have bought a new chopping board, it is made of bamboo and is very heavy.

Going to sit now and get on with my knitting and I think listen to my Audible story.

oh good Oma, you will be pleased.

We have just had the firemen in the flat, someone trapped in the lift!! They were forcing open the door to "lift" them out, sooooooo pleased it wasn't me!! I doubt if we can use the lift until the doors are fixed.

Great news Oma, I know you are naturally keen for B to have his.
Oh good grief Lizzie! The lift has been a bit problematic lately hasn't it?!
You deserve a sit down after all that baking Plant.

We collected our shopping, put it away, then played a game of Scrabble. After lunch (whilst watching Escape to the Chateau) I gave OH some reflexology. She then returned to the tricky jigsaw and I had a bath.
Feeling nice and relaxed now. Housework will wait until tomorrow

We do have lift problems but this is the first time someone was trapped in it!

I have just trimmed my fringe, I can live with the rest of it but had to do that.
